True Confessions

Nobody in this world is perfect not even a student who obtained 'perfect 10' in Maths test. We all have flaws and we learn from mistakes. This include people like me and you.
These few days, set 4 Maths had been SCOLDED repeatedly by our tutor, Miss Tor. The reason is not doing our work properly aka mainly copy. I had been praised as 'hardworking', but here all my blog readers, I wish to say that IT AINT TRUE. Thats 1 confession, I AM NOT A HARDWORKING STUDENT!
Another confession, people thinks that Im very innocent, rajin, smart, blablabla..... Didn't someone ever told you that 'Never Judge The Book By Its Cover'. Innocent looking, hmm no comments about that but Im certainly not as you think (not so innocent). Rajin maybe not, as I only try to complete the H/W of the day and nothing more usually. Smart, nah Im just lucky that I got through to Sixth Form.
Another thing, is that when Im in Secondary level, I always talk bad things about my teachers, 'di belakang mereka'. Sorry teachers
Another thing is Im also envious of whatever people have. For example, someone have iPod Touch, I dont have I really want 1, so I pester my parents to get me one, they refused. P.S. For those thinking that 'anak tunggal' get all the perks, well think again because I aint got a lot.
Ok, thats quite it of my darker side, I will try to change some of them so that I wont have the same regret again & I want to have one of the most memorable things in my life.
Bye, Happy Sunday

New Look

Helo netizens & friends, welcome 2 my blogpression, My Life My Expression. Like the new look, oh well it isn't that nice anyways. Ok, back to the main agenda, I will be grumbling, crapping instead of previously writing so many serious stuffs. So, the 1st grumble & confession will be posted in a matter of hours. Enjoy, and thanks for visiting my 2nd home.

Past Regret

A windy & cloudy, rainy SUNDAY afternoon indeed as many people were scared of the tsunami that may be caused by the eclipse. In fact, my house windows were vibrating when the strong wind blows, while for those living near the pantai, you will feel a very cold breeze from the sea, right?
Back to the title of this post, 'Past Regret'. Let's share some personal stories of my 'past regrets'. Ok, I have got past regrets on choices that I had made in the past & now its affecting me positively or negatively. (There must be positive & negative sides of something right?). I had made wrong choices for MP3 player, mobile phone, my life direction perhaps? While for some people, their past regret was about their love life. 'When you have feeling for someone, just express it otherwise if that 'someone' already been snatched by another person, then you will be disapointed. And thats a past regret. Enough of past regret, lets move 2 something else.
May I introduce you to someone now. Most of the forum post described him as 'cute & handsome', yalah siapa yg inda suka handsome & cute singers especially from Korea. Hallyu Chaoyo wave is hitting Asia rapidly, but Im not gonna talk about any Korean artist, sorry! First his biodata (courtesy of Fampar.LiveJournal.com), then his picts

Random Facts:
-He didn't like music at first, but his father made him learn music. Going against his father, he learned ballet, but encountered an injury when he was 16 years old. At that time, his father half lured and half encouraged him to try out the music world and that was how Blue J became infatuated in music.
-The whole Ji Jia Song's family emigrated to Canada in 1995, returned to Taiwan in 2001.
- He became Wilber Pan's piano teacher and simultaneously became his producer and good friend. In 2005, the two of them worked together for Wilber's "Expert" album and continued with "Around The World" and "Play It Cool"
"Spilt Water Can't Be Retrieved 2009" is actually a song his dad produced and his mom wrote in 1989
-Blue J finally released his first album in 2009!
Some of his songs that I like are "Spilt Water Can't Be Retrieved 2009". This song is inspired by a classic Taiwanese song Jeremy's musician parents co-created 20 years ago. It's 1st integration of Taiwanese and Mandarin and Chinese song RAP. A combination of different musical styles, Acoustic R & B in the end, together with story-telling Rap, also part of Pop Refrain lyric, music among the remake of the old record player difficult to recover the ground water sampling; music arranger, the guitar Acoustic R & B performance, the instruments are done a different role in the distribution of so erhu violin tremolo, also played guitar in the end when the shells of the round of the Chinese musical instrument pipa. He links on a variety of instruments.
Another is 'The Same Regret', which is also one of the song in the drama starred by Wilber Pan, his good friend as well as Rainie Yang.
Next, is 'The Last Supper', its his only English R&B song in his 1st album, Blue J. However, most of his song have some English lyrics in it. For example the 'spilt water' song got a line that I really liked is 'YES PLEASE DONT GIVE UP DONT SAY NO'

Oh, thats him by the way

Here's another pict of him from his blog (Credit: Jeremy Ji blog)
Ok, I guess we have enough of artist stories, me not good at telling entertainment thingy. Ok, lets move on to another story, about ABC
ABC is not your Ais Batu Campur, but it meant American-born Chinese. These artists are really into the spotlite recently. Some of them include Wilber Pan, Khalil Fong, etc. Most of them cant write & read in Chinese, just like me. However, Im MBC not ABC but Im still not good at Chinese. Blimey!
Last piece, before I pen off, it getting long my post. For the past 2 GP debate, I have been appointed as 'timekeeper'. But, this Tuesday, the topic is 'We Should Be Our Own Censors'. And my team is opposing it, lets see how we fare against the Goliath. Its is gonna be David Vs Goliath? We shall see
On that note, Im gonna resume with my delayed work that should be done earlier. Till, next time Dont Ever Have Any Past Regret & Make The Correct Choice! Sayonara

Unexpected... really

Minta maaf kepada a few people bcoz I 4get I utang somethng arh kamu 15th of July 2009 is the date people. No not a day 4 you 2 go berjalan ke sana ke mari since its H1N1 season people, but maybe go berjalan sama 'si ahem-ahem' arah perayaan could be possible later since the 'perayaan cancellation had been overturned yesterday'. 'Sotong tutuk sekotak pak haji'. LOL!
Oh b4 I forget, Dirgahayu Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik & semoga Kekal Karar Memerintah Di Atas Takhta Kerajaan Brunei Untuk Merealisasikan Wawasan 2035 2 our beloved 'Mesra Rakyat & Turun Padang' Ruler, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah from salah seorang PADI(pendatang asing dengan izin). Under HM rule of the country, Bruneians as well as residents have enjoyed a good life and enjoyed 'limpahan kemakmuran' hasil minyak & gas. That includes me, as I have 'kaut banyak hasil negara'(dont misunderstood I meant I have won a lot of prizes from radio thanks to RTB & Kristal FM as well as sponsors). Thanks to HM govt 'education policy', Bruneians as well as PADI students, can get quality education. In addition, non-Bruneian students have also been given opportunity to represent the country in various events & competitions. Recently, a Malaysian student from SMSA had been chosen as 1 of the representative of Brunei in a Youth Leadership Forum held in Boston. Im not going to 'angkat bakul' but I have also been chosen 2 represent my ex-school, SMS in Kuiz Kenali Tanahairku. Although this is a local Brunei competition, its a good exposure. Our team managed 2 qualify 4 finals but were defeated by MSPSBS 110-79. All this will not be possible if Brunei did not practice 'meritocracy' system.
Right a story that I wanna share b4 I came 2 Brunei 12 yrs ago. My dad said 'the Sultan will not allow me 2 enter Brunei if I dont get injection'. Entahlah why my father said that, see now I havent got that 'injection' yet & here I am somewhere in Brunei typing this blogpost. Guess its a joke! Come people laugh, hahahahahaha
Yesterday GP debate 'Should Press be Free', which I was expecting was delayed to 2mrw due to lack of corum(debater), so Plan B. Miss Joan redistribute Monday's test & asked us 2 mark our peers paper. After that test, I think I screwed up my answers. However, things turned out a bit better than I had expected. I got Yick Xiang paper which is another shock 4 me, as she is the best GP student in set 2. Marking & checking her paper was a breeze bcoz it was almost flawless & thought-provoking. At the end I gave her 45. Quite high eh? Meanwhile, my paper got only 33 bcoz 3 marks were cut thanks 2 'lack of words'. The comments by the marker, Neng Cong were 'Convincing facts, good English, but more examples please'.
Yesterday, newspapers was sold-out bcoz HM gave a 35 min hard-hitting titah on Monday which touches on various issues such as SPN21, working like robot, donation lobbying, doa b4 lessons in the morning, excess zakat money, bencana, H1N1, 3.12%, etc. Yesterday also as a result of HM titah, I perceive that all schools mainly govt schools have started to have 'doa tolak bala'. The titah also is a 'hot topic' talked about by the public and even students like me & you.
Right, I have gone too mainstream, lets go 2 'something a bit light for the mind'. Im really into a song from Blue J album by Jeremy Ji Jia Song. Its very inspirational, especially after I have obtained the song lyrics translated in English. Its named 'Shui Po Luo Di Nan Shou Hui' or in English 'Water spilled on the ground can be retrieved'. However I mistranslated it in Malay as 'Air Dicencang akan Putus' when its actually 'Air Yg Ditertumpah Di lantai tak boleh di ambil kembali'. Part of the lyrics that I like is
What was before the eyes was only dream. Stick to it or give up
Yes please don’t give up don’t say no
14 hrs flight, after 6 years of hard work

My intrepretation of it is that whatever is your dreams not matter how hard it is you must at try to achieve it, otherwise give it up.
Ok dahlah tu tutup cerita ni dah, kalau terlalu panjang pun mengatuk orang baca bagaikan 'orang mengantuk disorongkan bantal' eh salah, Apakan?
Bye, selamat menikmati suasana perayaan bulan Julai.
P.S. I wonder how many Transformers are there around, other than Megan Fox (eh Megan Fox pelakon bukan robot). 'Jangan tunggu & liat ja'

Life Must Go On

There are saying such as 'I live only because of you'. Have you heard it b4? Indeed, its a nice sentence but what if that some1 dumped you for another person? Will you be so despair that you want to commit suicide just because of 'putus cinta'? Come onlah, orang2 muda, bak kata pepatah Melayu 'patah tumbuh hilang berganti'. There are still many wonders of the world that haven't been discovered and perjalanan kita masih lagi panjang. Jika yg lama tak ditinggalkan maka yg baru & lebih baik takkan muncul dalam diari kehidupan kita. So, even though you 'putus cinta' life must go on. So its the same context in the situation that we are facing now, the H1N1 flu. School still have to be attended unless you got sick. (what so ever sickness, you will be advised to 'balik rumah')
That was a weird opening for this post? Wonder why did I write that, did I just ..... Lets see, think deep, its NO! A short desription of what happened from Monday till Friday
Monday - School reopened after an xtended 1 wk holiday/quarantine. Temperature checks will start from today until further notice. The teachers checking our temperatures were wondering what is the need of this since 'all the students temperature were low, as they all come by car to school'. We have to be sanitized after temperature checks and given stickers. NO STICKER NO ENTRY TO 6TH FORM BLOCK! All classes resume after a cleaning campaign until 9am. Everything went normally, as teachers were teaching according to their prepared Lesson Plan with little additional time. Accounting class was funny, as Miss Tan asked us to sanitized ourselves. Some students complained that the alcohol was smelly, etc. Then she distributed papers and said the paper were clean as 1 student asked have the papers been sprayed with sanitizer. That afternoon, Accounting group study started thanks to the hardworking Miss Tan.
Tuesday - There was an Accounting test on biz purchase. GP was about discussion of topics Media and Miss Joan gave back our team draft and gave nice comments on it.
Wednesday - Woke up late as yesterday nite played on9 games till almost midnite. GP class continued to discuss about debate with team members and our 'imaginary friend'(Note: We are not crazy, he is our 4th speaker, that is yet to be found). We decided that our team should be named 'Seditious' and we continued talking about it till Thursday class. Had Maths p3 test, it sucks.
Thursday - There was an Accounting test on process costing
Friday - Went for a walk to Pekan and there were very few people in Plaza. Listen back-to-back to Blue J song as I type this post
Our debate is next Saturday. So people, I think I will stop here, its getting late and I dont want to wake up late. Good nite, have a nice Saturday!

So far .......

Salam sejahtera, happy last day of 2nd term holidays
1st, of all I would like to congratulate myself for writing 100 posts already in this blog. *angkat bakul*
2ndly, school will reopen 2morrow, finally after 3 wks holiday. Yeah, jom balik sekolah, Elaun will not kena potong lagi for yg eligible. H/W dah siap ke belum? Kalau dah siap okler tu, kalau tak 'take advantage' of the few remaining hrs of this sunny Sunday 2 complete it, since you cant go anywhere 'no thanks' to H1N1.
3rdly, a recap of my past 3 wks activities. Basically, its skrin TV, skrin PC, thats it. In addition, to a 'bit' of revision, since tutors say there will be tests, but don't know if these tests are gonna be cancelled.
Last but not least, usang. Looks like my 7 yrs old, PC had given up on me slowly. My PC speaker, entah kenapa, tak mahu bersuara lagi, since last Sunday. In other words, my PC is babau, it have to be taught sign language, good thing ada udah berjual buku Sign Language.
Lastly, a joke. Well may not be a joke If you dont faham. There are 2 boys, named A & B(bukan nama sebenar). Here is the short story
A: Are you happy, B?
B: Yes, I am because I just got 'pocket money' from my parents
A: So, you are gay
B: What? *in a shock*
The morale of the story is check your dictionary selalu, because gay doesnt mean that thing, but it mean another thing which is an American slang for happy. Happy people, you all are really gay!
Thats a rap, for this time the 100th post, one of the shortest post.
Enjoy the last few hrs of 2nd term holidays people, while I go searching for a song about '2 people dancing'.
Teo thinks that 2morrow he gotta chase hutang from those who have came bk from overseas & he will be chased for hutang by tutors.

Its Getting Boring

Kopivosian, Tadau Kohimo. Wait, you are not in the wrong blog, this is still your ye-old 'The Simplisiti' and not some sort of foreign language blog. Ok, the translation for the 1st 3 word is Welcome, Friday. By, the way, its bahasa Kadazandusun. Ok, enough of Tadau, Kopivosian, id, its back to stories. Im gonna write fully in Malay, for this post, please ready kamus dwibahasa, incase my Malay is too terror, LOL!
Dinafikan Menteri Kesihatan
Tambah WHO lagi, penyebaran flu ini TAK DAPAT DIHALANG.
Masa ni, ckigu tak makan alasan ni semua lagi, kecuali kata cepumas "DEMAM, SESAK NAFAS" SURE KENA SURUH BALIK PUNYA BRO, eh tunggu saya tak ajar kamu semua buat macam ni tau, pelajaran ketinggalan siapa yg rugi, kita juga yg sendiri rugi. Kata pepatah 'sendiri bikin sendiri mahu ingat '.
Oh, maafkan saya sekiranya saya terlalu majal mengenai citer2 H1N1 nikan, ok citer lain pula bosan pula jika citer H1N1 je, nanti silap haribulan kena ban.
The Simplisiti Telah Menjangkau 100 post, Hmm Banyak Juga Buah Fikiran Saya Ni, Next Target Ialah 1000 Post Dalam 5 Tahun Akan Datang.
You Are My Everything, .......
Setakat ni jelah story kali ni, takder citer yg boleh diciter melainkan H1N1, eh tunggu sebelum tu, janganlah merayap ke 1 mall ke 1 mall. Tak baik tau, dalam situasi masa kini, dahlah banyak orang, risiko pun tinggi, poket gerenti kosong, tangan sure penuh, lebih baik ke tempat2 seperti pantai atau taman2, hirup udara segar, enjoy angin sepoi2 bahasa.
Dahlah, tu merapu wahai Encik Penulis Simplisiti, walaupun semakin bosan dah cuti tak der apa2 yg boleh dibuat melainkan skrin komputer, skrin TV, bilik tidur.
P.S. Nak cari lagu Blue J (sering bermain didalam mindaku yg kekosongan ingatan pelajaran)
Patutkah sekolah dibuka Isnin ni? Tak taulah yg pasti aku tak nak attend friday Or Sunday classses. So, ITS A VOTE YES!

Last Minute Work Sucks!

Dont do your work last minute, did someone told you that? Yes, its true from the past experiences last minute work don't really bear good results, in some instance it nearly caused a competition team to be kicked out from quarter-finals of that particular competition.(Luckily got through into semi & finals but beaten by MS). Enough of life stories that can be pondered upon by me.
Yesterday, 30th Jun Bridging Minds was held at Dewan Raya RTB. The SMSA gangs were seated in the same row, behind the Singapore's Forum Universiti crews. The crews were talking about Caldecott. In case you are wondering what actually is Caldecott. Its the 'heart' of MediaCorp's operations and which in 2010, the Bridging Minds in its 14th edition are going to be held, in which I hoped to watch. Before the recording started, the audiences were asked to clap their hands, to signify sambutan yang hangat macam lagu KRU Terhangat Di Pasaran. (this reminds me of a badil named thunder clap, incase your dont clap, the badil will be aimed at you). Bridging Minds is a annual project under the Broadcasting MOU between the government of His Majesty & Singapore. Its produced in collaboration by RTB & MediaCorp Okto (in Greek in mean 8) channel. The motion of the debate-play is Recession. A Blessing? It was hosted by Rozaidah, an ex participant of Titian Minda back in 2002, the year in which 1 of my ex-school top student participated in Bridging Minds and had won. While the Singapore's host was Shan Wee, a 987 Radio DJ. The debate not an ordinary style of debate, but also included the elements of 'drama'. With so little time to prepare for the debate, in only 1 wk plus, they need to learn to be actors, they had really done a good job!
In the proposition 1st act, it was about how Malaysia, EU & US managed to changed itself due to recession. And there was a 'Donald Trump', w/o 'you're fired' singature tagline and also a speaking oracle that's cute and is capable of receiving SMS, but why not bluetooth signals? On the other hand, the opposition, which portrayed themselves as 'super-heroes' which tries to say that 'Mr Recession' is not a blessing. In the 3rd act of proposition, there was an act of a man that had been left by his wife (acted by SMSa's Liza). Then, 2 spirits came and visit him and told him good of recession such as upgrading yourself, do more sports, reduce car accidents, lose weight & even get his wife back.
Eh, where's my talking oracle, Incoming Message Invalid Code, Oracle Self-destruct in 5 sec, cabut!
The opposition had rebutted & summarised that proposition points are very laughable e.g. reduce car accidents, you may even get accidents at home such as kitchen on fire, telur hangus(I added that).
In the mean time, while the judges were finalising their decisions, the audience were entertained by mini doctor, itu orang China mari punya pandai kung-fu, saya India mari datang itu. The audience had a good laugh in the time-span of about 2 hrs with all the entertaining, heated debate as well as the commercial break show.
Finally, the time had come, the results. The best performer went to Liza (yeah SMSA boleh and Malaysia boleh too). The winner is the super-heroes of opposition teams. And, the prize presentation had to be recored twice, because of hiccups i.e. self-service taking the prize and even the guest of honour Permanent Secretary, JPM Brunei & Permanent Secretary, MICA Singapore had a laugh.
Bridging Minds is aimed to bridge the gaps of race, religion, heights, size between Brunei & Singapore. See you in Singapore 2010.
That had given me an idea of how to overcome the GP debate in class, if it isn't postponed, by having an oracle that can speak. LOL!
After watching Bridging Minds, I first headed to Great Eastern to collect something, 100 yrs old toylion, that's smiling and say "LIFE IS GREAT", yeah life is indeed great! Then, its off to The Mall for lunch. At The Mall, we saw reporters from Brunei Times, and the story is published in today's Brunei Times. They said that many youths were not worried of MOH H1N1 advisory and some were seen wearing masks. Oh yeah, The Brunei Times Happy 3rd Year Anniversary & Thank You For My Free 3 Months Subscriptions.
At the end of the day I just wanna thank all the participants of SMSA Bridging Minds supporter, even though the numbers are less than expected (Teo, Mizi, Feeqa, Zul, Evelyn, Pjah, Silah) and also to Shuaib, Mizi & Evelyn for advertising the bus. Thanks also to Chan for following the bus back, and earned me extra fares. We all had a great time.
THE NEXT TRIP WILL BE A BANG, I GUARANTEED, but some people is complaining about gender inequality in the participants lists. No empty buses, the next time!
Last talk: I tell you that recession is very horrible you know, the hungry people had hitted 1 billion people for the 1st time. Haiya, itu Mr Censorship ah very lek oh you know
Welcome To July People
2010 & Caldecott here I come
