In shock & awe!

Its still not to late to wish my teachers who have taught me in Brunei from Primary up till Pre-U level in 3 schools (SMS,SAS,SMSA), SELAMAT HARI GURU & without these teachers guidance I will not be who I am today.
Some people may have been irritated by the last 4 posting on DiGi. If you have been wondering what are those? The truth is its for a CONTEST aka HELP to PROMOTE DiGi iPhone4 'kambing'! Whats the prize? Its my ever wanted, iPhone4! I do apologise if those 4 postings sounds too 'commercial' or 'irritating', now we are back to normal programming err I mean normal posting. Most of the infos arent made up as its based on my experience & not 'copy&paste' from somewhere & not purely COMMERCIAL!
On another note, though I have noticed that more & more outsiders are visiting this blog aside from my regulars aka my friends. It could mean either:
  1. My blog is informative. (To tell you the truth I dont think so but occasionally this blog will spew out 'relevant' stuffs)
  2. My blog is full of 'crap' that people like to read
Whatever it is I thank you all blog-readers who dropped a comment & willing to visit this blog. Hope that this blog will cheer up your life, help you to make better decisions & make your brain 'spin' for a while to do some deep thinking on the points raised.

On, to today's agenda: For the past few days I have been posting various Youtube video links accompanied with some sentences in my Facebook. Most of videos are very melo aka sad songs or sad videos. 1st of all what is the 3 words playing in your mind right now? I guess people like the word 'i love u' or 'i hate you'. Ok fine, we shall talk about 'I love you' instead of 'i hate you' as 'hate' is not a very good word to be described. Fine, starting you say I love you? But what IF the person that you say 'i love u' to suddenly becomes blind? Now, you are faced with options. Dump the person you loved (you are so mean if you decide to do this, sanggup awak tinggalkan orang yang awak cintai kerana dia buta, erm excuse me isnt Cinta itu buta also?)? Another option stay with 'the person you loved' & be his/her 'walking stick' & when you got fed up dump him/her (Cant blind people provide you happiness?). Last option which isnt quite popular is Stay with them forever & ever (Ah how sweet, but be prepared to suffer a bit, you never know in the future there could be technology to treat blind eyes (actually its already existed but quite limited to the early stages of blindness only)). Please dont take these into considerations as its words from someone who have yet to fall in love & still searching even for friendships.
The bad news that I got this week is MY DAD is on Facebook. For what reasons I had no idea? But it could be
  1. Communicate better with his co-workers (Most of my dad co-workers are young people)
  2. Supervise me indirectly (Ini yang aku tak suka ni, but its good also as my dad can understand my feeling & wants better, so iPhone4 semakin menjadi reality? No oh well)
  3. NO IDEA (i really have no clue why my dad joined facebook)
Lastly, the quote for this week 'Its OK if you dont get it this time around'. Sorry if you people think this posting is to melo aka sad as I am kinda sad to what do you expect a sad person to blog? How to make people laugh? LOL!
P.S. What if someone loses their memory suddenly. All their sweet memories before they lose memory would be locked in the 'black box' in their brain.

DiGi iPhone 4 Real

I Want, I Get, I Plan, DiGi! In my 1st posting, 'DiGi iPhone 4 Me', (apparently out of topics) I have stated 1 of the 4 reasons why I want an iPhone4 from DiGi is the plan. Yes, iDigi plans is 1 of my reasons. Now let me elaborate further, why I Heart DiGi iPhone plans. I Want, I Get, Best Plans from DiGi for my baby iPhone4!
1. Price - Very interestingly iDiGi88/138/238 is not priced at RM$88/138/238 per month but RM$63/93/163 respectively. You get a further RM$5 off that price if you opt for auto-billing when you sign up (Only for credit card holders, debit card dont have! Poor me having a debit instead of credit card!). At RM$58/month this makes DiGi iPhone plans the 'most affordable' in Malaysia. As we Malaysians like to compare with other countries, lets compare DiGi's entry level iPhone plan of RM$58 with Brunei,Singapore & Taiwan. In Brunei, the lowest iPhone plan is offered by b.mobile Smart Plan at B$35/approx . RM$81. In Singapore, the lowest iPhone plan is SGD36/approx RM$83 by M1 iPhone Value plan.In Taiwan, the lowest iPhone plan is NTD649/approx RM$65 by Chunghwa Telecom. If you compare neck to neck with the 'green-red' Maxis with its iValue1 at RM$100. Obviously DiGi wins! However, as a Marketing student price is still not sufficient to express my liking of DiGi iPhone plans. At RM$58/month, I can assure that its affordable for students & they dont need to 'ikat perut' just to pay their phone bills. So they can still enjoy the powers of iPhone4 without having to sacrifice much things in life.
2. Internet Usage - iDiGi plans are very generous I must say! A FREE DATA allocation of 1/3/5GB depending on what plan you take is very tempting to me. And mind you that, DiGi is kind enough to do a 'community service' to reduce the number of heart attacks in Malaysia due to 'HIGH BILL SHOCKS', by having your speed throttled instead of charging you more after the FREE DATA quota is used up! Hence, you can spend more time enjoying your iPhone4 as no high bills argument resulting from data usage will occur unlike in the 'other side', People go to shout in the service centers!
3. Friends & Family - In Malaysia, DiGi is the only service provider that have this feature embedded into their iPhone plans. Why should I move to another telco when almost everyone in my family is using DiGi? Makes no sense right? For the record, my dad, 3 of my cousins whom I always contact all use DiGi. I Get Lower Rates With iDiGi plans embedded with Friends&Family
4. All Local Networks Inclusive - The 'other side' only have the calls all network inclusive, while SMS/MMS are only for intra network (within the same network). On the other hand DiGi is more smarter in its all local networks inclusive calls/SMS/MMS included into the FREE quota.
Basically, DiGi plan is cheaper than the competitor & it gives more value proposition (FREE internet usage after quota exceeed,Friends & Family,All Local Networks Inclusive in FREE quota)
Thats Why I Heart iDigi plans.
I Want, I Get, i phone4, i best plans with best value proposition!

DiGi iPhone 4 Play

What is an iPhone without its any Apps in it? Its just like nasi lemak without the 'fragrant santan rice'. Or in Malaysia context its Malaysia without 1 of the major 3 race composition, which isnt truly 1Malaysia if 1 of the race composition is missing, and it felt a little 'empty'. Or try having a group of 'kambing' without grass, they wont be able to survive! 1 of the people I knew once told me he owned a iPhone 3G for a few years already but his phone is 'BARE NAKED' without any Apps in it, so its pretty boring. With over 250,000 Apps available for download in the Apps Store FOC or a small fee, you will find one that is suitable for you.I know that some people (students who are taking Computer Programming course), buys iPhone to enable them to learn how to create Apps for the iPhone. So iPhone especially the new iPhone4 is not only for play but work!
For me, the Apps which I like the most out of 250,000 Apps available is KBS World Radio. Weird & strange choice huh as the current trend is watching cable TV channels, streaming video online via Youtube. Why you may ask? The reason is I love Kpop music & wants to listen to them 247 if possible. Now, I am a frequent streamer of KBS World Radio using my the fast internet connection in my university as well as thru my Nokia Internet Radio of course using DiGi Turbo 3G network which requires minimal buffering. Thats a lame reason why I choose KBS World Radio apps right?
Lastly, I Want, I Get, I Apps, I Enjoy!
Have a great weekend people & Good Luck queing up for DiGi iPhone4 & be part of the iPhone Evolution process in Malaysia.

DiGi iPhone 4 Me

'Kambing' mbek mbek mbek! Urm, what that gotta do with DiGi? That was in my mind when I saw the cryptic picture in DiGi Facebook with 4 apples, kambing, 24.9.10 & DiGi. Then, I thought about it for a moment and translated it into Apple iPhone4 coming 24.9.10 to DiGi! OMG OMG OMG! But then, DiGi cheekily replied Apple iPhone4? Maybe is an invitation to DiGi Raya Open House on 24.9.10 & vegetarians can have 4 apples while the others can have the kambing. A thing to note though 'kambing' is the 'bahasa rojak' for coming! Then, more messages appear in DiGi Facebook in the another picture with the kambing had eaten the 4 apples & became fat. Finally, a little before 7pm on 24.9.10 although a slight delay than the original time of 6pm, EVERTHING IS REVEALED! Starting that moment, THE GREAT IPHONE WAR as I calls it BEGINS! Maxis (or better known as the red-green) may have brought iPhone4 1st to Malaysia at the tick of 12am 24.9.10, but its only limited to its launching area in The Gardens, Mid Valley but DiGi have been smarter in making iPhone4 available in 45 DiGi Centers & Digi stores Malaysiawide, rather than in only 1 place!
Now, on to the main agenda:Why I must get an iPhone4 from DiGi? I Want, I Get, iPhone4 from DiGi!
  1. Plan - iDiGi88 is only RM$58 - As a student, I cant afford to spend too much on my monthly phone bills otherwise I would have to eat bread with water only for the sake of paying the high monthly bills of owning an iPhone4 (Maxis iValue1 RM$100), but not anymore with DiGi! In addition, sometimes I may consume a lot of DATA sometimes exceeding the limits given so if I go to Maxis, I will get BIG BILL SHOCK! However, since DiGi iDiGi plans dont have 'BILL SHOCKS' embedded in it, I can occasionally use more DATA.
  2. BonusLink - Recently, DiGi had announced its partnership with BonusLink which means me as a BonusLink cardholder can earn BonusLink points with my iDiGi plan monthly bill payment. So, that means I can get 2 benefits at 1 time, bak kata pepatah Melayu 'sambil menyelam sambil minum air'. I Want, I Get Better Rates & BonusLink points with DiGi.
  3. Loyalty - I have been a DiGi Prepaid customer for the past 3 years (it may sound strange as prepaid customers always move around from this telco to that telco). To date, I am very satisfied with the service & the price as well as benefits. So, if I want, I get iPhone4 from DiGi to reduce the hassle of MNP problems as well as I have experienced DiGi services already so I know what to expect rather than going to another telco which I had no idea what to expect & be disapointed later.
  4. DiGi Turbo 3g - A few times during peaktime, I had able to stream perfectly without much buffering, a Korean variety show that I like to watch 'Uljjang Shidae' (Pretty Boys & Girls). In addition, the rates charged isnt expensive at RM$5/day or RM$15/week, even for prepaid! So I am prepared to move a step forward, in my relationship with DiGi!
So there you have it 4 reasons why I want, I get iPhone4 from DiGi! Basically less bill shock, lower monthly plans, being loyal to something good is never a bad decision & good network quality. And 1 more, the Yellow Coverage Fellow is Cute & Cuddly, LOL!
So even though, I have to have 'bread & water' (which is common among KLers) for meals, I wont mind I get, iPhone4 from DiGi. However, the bad news is my bank A/c dont have that much money & I would have to coerce my dad who is the 'family Finance Minister' to buy it for me which is a daunting task. I am pretty excited about the prospect of owning an iPhone4 even though now my financial capabilities dont allow me to do so now! I am sharing the joy of those who have became the proud owner of iPhone4 in Malaysia as well as had choosen the smartest, cuttest & cuddliest mobile carrier in Malaysia, non other than DiGi!
4 in Chinese means death! 4 for me means bad news as I dont have money presently to buy it! 4 also means cool, trendy & powerful. 4 DiGi is I want, i get 4 from U!

This Week is interesting

2day is Mid Autumn Fest aka Mooncake Fest. So to all Chinese out there, Happy Mooncake Fest! Enjoy your lantern parade & delicious mooncakes & sip some green tea/Chinese tea. My plan for 2nite is 2 go out makan something nice as since I came to KL my menu is mostly mix rice. Yes, I will be ALONE! again if not I want to go have steamboat or BBQ!
On an another note, I HAVE FAILED! my JPJ computerised test JUST by 2 MARKS! Damn you beri laluan questions. Anyway I have nobody nobody but me to blame! You cant blame the computer cant you? May try again next week, so hope I wont FAILED again!
The hottest topics in Malaysia now is iPhone4. Yes, it 'kambing' (coming) to Malaysia on 24.9.10 (Friday). Both Maxis, DiGi are rumoured to be in a neck-to-neck competition, so till 23.9.10 11.59pm we wont know whose offers are better because both telcos are said to be fine-tuning their plans again2 till the last minute to counter each other plans/prices. On an another interesting twist, Celcom the only BIG3 telco in Malaysia without iPhone offerings will offer micro-SIM next month. This could mean its preparing to offer iPhone4 even though in July they said they are not ready yet. So, the iPhone4 playing field is getting even more crowded but 'the more the merrier' & the consumers like you & me benefits when there are more competitions. Maxis will have a classy launch of the iPhone4 at The Gardens Hotel, Mid Valley starting 23.9.10 9pm with entertainment performances. The official launch will be at 12.01am 24.9.10! On the other hand, DiGi prefers to be more quiet in their launching, with a media session on 23.9.10 6pm but they will sell it on 24.9.10 but the times are still not confirmed. On to the plans, Maxis had 'upgraded' their iValue plans with MORE DATA,SMS & MMS, however for me, who uses MORE DATA than CALLS its still not sufficient! While DiGi plans are still 'top secret rahsia besar Orang Kuning' till 6pm 2morrow. Why so secretive? According to blogs like Malaysianwireless.com, both Maxis who have already announced their plans might be amending their plans while DiGi is trying to predict Maxis next move with its 'powerful yellow coloured kambing crystal balls'. On to the price, the RRP seems to be lower than that of 3GS. Most people commented in the Forum that they are happy with the prices. For me, yeah the Prices are quite attractive but I assume with more competitions the entry level iPhone4 16GB with be available at less than RM$1000 with the minimum barest service plan aka the cheapest iPhone plan. On to the stocks of iPhones it seems that those planning to go with Maxis, will have more chance of getting the phone as it seems DiGi had many times less stock than Maxis. For me, if I can get an Iphone4 I will get it from DiGi or even maybe Celcom, as Maxis RM$100 plan is far too much! If I can get my dad to buy it would be great! So, in conclusion JUST WAIT FOR 23.9.10 to come in just a few hours & let see IF MALAYSIA WILL BE SURPRISED!
Lastly, I dont wish to speak about it here but its too depressing to keep in to myself. Apparently, something had happened in Brunei in my family & it may or may not affect me here.I hope not! A person wants to RESIGN & had even tendered RESIGNATION LETTER but the manager say NO! Why? The cause of why the person wants to resign is unclear whether its work-related or personal-related. But sometimes, some1 sengaja wants to bangkitkan your kemarahan & its a CONSPIRACY to force you to RESIGN! I dont want to be a judge of this situation!
Enough of stories, the quote for 2day 'BE CAREFUL OF PEOPLE BESIDE YOU'
Its an interesting week full of twists, depression, stress, shocks & more!

Dear people of the world, dont you notice that its getting more & more hotter recently! Some even try to heat it up 'virtually' by introducing band names like Fahrenheit or even a mall named Fahrenheit88, which I will talk about later. Ok, this time is pictures 1st, stories come later as I have simply too much things to do! Enjoy em! And please do your bits to decrease the ever increasing temperature by reusing things, reducing wastage & recycle. Dont forget to carpool & walk if possible. Public transport maybe an option too in certain places! How, I wish the world temperature rise is at O degrees as shown in Nat Geo store in Lot 10!

More crazeh ques for prizes
Lot10 Hutong main entrance
Sorry for the messy post, I purposely wanted it to be that way. Ok, I will divide this posting into 3 subdivision Hutong, 8TV & Fahrenheit88.
Hutong
This Lot10 Hutong have a lot of great reviews so I have decided to try em. Mind you, it have even been covered by Singapore, Thailand & Brunei papers, so it must be good. This is a new brainchild of YTL Group, the owner of Lot10 & its MD, personally picked some of the stalls. It was even endorsed by Cai Lan, HK famous food critics. Thus, you pay a premium for having air-conditioned food court endorsed by a famous food critics. There are noodles, porridges, etc, but it is NON-HALAL. I had Hon Kee Famous Petaling Street porridge at RM$6.50. At least, it make me really full!
Fahrenheit88
Fahrenheit88 is dubbed as the latest SHOP SPOT in Bukit bintang. It was not actually new, it was previously known as Mun Loong which eventually closes down and was its anchor tenant. Its real name was KL Plaza. It was given a refreshing new look by the company responsible for the iconic Pavilion KL. The most anticipated tenant in F88 is definitely Uniqlo, a Japanese casual lifestyle brand due to be open in 4th November. Uniqlo had taken Singapore by storm & now it will storm Malaysia soon.
8TV
Everytime I explored a place, I have an intention. This time I went down BB to Berjaya Times Square for the 8TV Carnival. There were a lot of prizes & premiums being given out if you played the games in the booths. The catch, the ques at each booth is very long, with exception of some quiz sessions where 'siapa cepat dia dapat'. Even though, have to que & berhimpit-himpit, I managed to get a poster, a CD & 2 product sample of facial products. I was hoping to get some 8TV premiums but apa nak buat, tak der nasib!

Before, I close up this posting I do apologise if this posting is so messy & tunggang terbalik. Till next week, have a great days ahead.
Quote of the week:Never say YOU CANT DO IT
P.S. This blogger is still trying to figure out how to solve his 'social' problems which seems not to be improving at all aka still travelling, eating alone! On the other hand, he is very excited about iPhone4 'Kambing' LOL!

My Raya celebration

Yeah, I know its kinda late to talk about how my Raya goes as its last week story. But, as you know my laptop is trying to play a game with me aka rosak til its fixed on Wednesday! In addition, I got tons of Marketing work to be rushed for completion as its due 2MORROW! Yikes, thank god I managed to get it done today! So, I had time to ramble about my Raya now!
For my Raya, I went out of Bandar Sunway again! Where to? To Shah Alam to attend the Selangor state government Raya open house at i-City. i what? This reminds me of my school trip with my SMSA mates to i-centre last December! Its amusing that they all think i-centre is a place that makes ice-cream, iPod, eyes, etc (courtesy of Ong's blog). i-City is also known as City of Digital Lights, to be simple its mega i-centre! Its not fully completed yet but people are already thronging to this place to see its beautiful LED light displays every nite! The sad news is I almost got lost on my way to i-city, luckily I am on the right track so I am able to reach there!
Lets talk about the Rumah Terbuka shall we. There were various types of foods on offer, however the choices of drinks are quite limited. Some of them include kuih Raya Ampang, roti canai Puchong, teh tarik Shah Alam, laksa Kuala Selangor, soto Kg Jawa, cendol Banting, nasi minyak Meru, etc. There is even vegetarian food on offer. However, the drinks only teh tarik & air kordial are available not even air kosong! And of course, the MB distributes 'duit raya' which was 'laku macam goreng pisang panas' it was snapped in a few minutes only! The emcees of the day are Sharifah Syahirah & Salih Yakob, 2 of Malaysian well-known 'pelawak aka pengacara'. Reports from the media stated that, tens of thousands of people came to this open house.
After 'makan', I snapped up some pictures from i-City which is the prelude of this posting. Enjoy them & dont tercekik on your kuih Raya or kuih Mor! See you in next posting

1 Problem solved & more 2 solve .....

Testing, 123 ok screen no blinking! Yahoo! Its fixed! Finally my laptop is fixed! A round of applause to Dell & its team of technicians & customer service consultants. See I told you all, dont think that when you are in a tunnel there wont be light, because in my case 'there is light at the end of the tunnel'. Ok I better stop rambling about tunnel, later you readers will become like gophers & go dig tunnel, LOL! At 1st, I thought that my problematic laptop cant be fixed as Dell 1stly quoted almost RM$1000 for me to extend my warranty. But later when I complaint via Twitter to Dell Cares. They say 'Ok bcoz of this NVIDIA problem they will have it fixed for FREE'. See thats the power of social media such as Twitter.
Ok, an update of my life as a Monashian. So far so good, although Im not very happy with my 1s submission mark for Marketing. Nevertheless, I will try to strive for at least a C/D grade in Marketing & HD in Accounting. Lectures are pretty much boring but sometimes when the lecturers crack up jokes then it becomes lively. Apparently, there are more than 50+ for August intake & not as I mentioned earlier 20+ people, as some dont attend Orientation. On the other hand, this Saturday is Monash Annual Ball. The dazzling lights & clothes imagine that. But Im not going, THE REASON: NO MONEY (it costs more than RM$100+ being a latebuyer), NO CLOTHES (last minute clothes buying wont get you satisfaction) &amp, NO PARTNER & lastly NO TRANSPORT (quoting MONGA latest issue 'You dont want to smell like diesel oil when you reach One World Hotel'
Lets turn the scope, to other things. Remember last wk, I rambled about iPhone & feelings. Today Im going to continue some more. Regarding iPhone4, the recent developments will really give me a heart attack. If the rumours are proven right its going to be out in less than 2wks & the price my oh my what a great shock  RM$2090 only. Now, go back to the 'Chapter on Feeling', last week I have releases some of my 'bu neng shuo de mi mi'. To tell you the truth, I am actually feeling a little bored already having to do things such as exploring places & eating ALONE! Although, the Chinese Zodiac book says that 'I will find some1 special this yr or next yr' So far its ZERO  NADA! Guess Luck Wont Help You Unless You Help Yourself Right? So what is actually my problem? Being anti-social? Afraid to approach people? Inter-personal skillls? Then what? My look? Enough I better close this chapter up for the time being before some1 gets more depressed reading this!
Thats about it people, I better be tolerate & close the lights as my roomate wants to sleep. Till next week,
A HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY to Malaysians & the quote for this week 'At The End of the tunnel there is always light'!

Problem terlalu banyak

Annyeong haseyo people! If you count using ur jari-jemari (if your jari-jemari tak hlilang disebabkan 'accident' main meriam buluh), Hari Raya yg datang setahun sekali akan datang lagi in 2-3 days depends on penglihatan anak bulan Syawal. Baju baru, duit raya, kuih raya, bermaaf-maafan, sate, kuih Raya, open house!
Harap Maafkan Ye! Jangan Ada Dendam Ok! Biar Kosong Balik Buku Kesalahan, Balance B/d 0! LOL!
Before I start listing out my problems, I shall talk a bit about my dream phone for the moment iPhone4.Starting initially the price of iPhone4 in Brunei is almost 2500 at emall.com.bn! So damn high! Then after QQestore,shopping.com.bn also started to have it, prices started to drop astronomically till now the lowest is 1200+! However, what is special this year is AV Electronics, the sole agent of Apple in Brunei had also joined in the bandwagon of the 'iPhone4' craze by offering 16gb @ 1038, 32gb @ 1198! Way lower than what the other offers, the bad news is waiting list is very long & expect waiting time of 6wk! At 1st I thought of buying from Brunei, but when I checked with DiGi in Malaysia, they said microSIM wont be available till iPhone4 launched officially in Malaysia! Thats the mood spoiler!
However, there are questions playing in my mind regarding all these too drastics price changes. In some blogs/forums, its rumoured that iPhone5 will be out early next yr. While some people speculate that its bcoz of the 'dead antenna' issue, but so far from my understanding users in Brunei dont seem to have that problem, however it seems that my roomate who happens to own 1, always have 'dropped calls' issue perhaps related to his telco & not the phone?
Another reason could be Steve Jobs when launching iPhone4 announced that this is the fastest rollout of iPhone series in its history. So I am assuming that Apple is trying to make it more affordable for more people! As 1st time in history, its available online in Apple Store in a few countries!
Problem 1:Laptop RIP?
Apparently, my decision to get Dell XPS M1330 which I thought was the higher-end of Dell laptop during the DST Inforama 2008 promo was wrong! I should get a Macbook perhaps! Why did I say so? This is bcoz I think almost all with the same model as mine have the same problem aka display problems caused by a faulty GPU! Some problems occur in the 1st yr, some less than 1 yr, some like mine in the 2nd yr! Dell has taken measures by extending 1 yr the warranty for NVIDIA GPU chips. Apparently, I couldnt get a free fix bcoz both the ori & extended warranty had expired!  And my dad refuses to pay almost RM1000 to extend the warranty. The only option for me was to use this laptop till its 'very last breath' aka RIP! Which I dont know when this laptop will RIP!
Problem 2: Life Adjustment Troubles
Jay Chou popularises the sentence 'bu neng shou de mi mi' (English the secret that cant be disclosed) through his movie, Secret. From my observation, it seems that some people are having troubles adjusting life in the uni. 1 people said that 'The 'feel' of a uni isnt same with the 'feel' of secondary school'. There seems to be nothing right 'studies no good, social life not so good' aka cant find a girlfriend to balance up studies time & not many friends. On weekend, no where to go! Everyday asides from studies, go to work out to kill time till late at nite! From this story, I understand that 'I need to let go of some of my 'bu neng shou de mi mi' starting now! Ok, I will start sharing some of my feelings.
- I always thought that when people besides me laugh, its bcoz of my appearance! When actually, its not the truth, its just my perception!
- From my Primary school days till NOW, I have little or no 'REAL' friends, whereas this person stated above got a few 'TRUE' friends. My friends are I think mostly cyber friends or 'Hi Hi Bye Bye' friends. This is the situation that Im still trying to mend up until today but FAILED!

Enough, the problems have bugged me too much I better close up this blogposting. Before I click 'publish post', SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN kepada semua rakan2 berugama Islam saya serta semua yang menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Semoga Aidilfitri Tahun Ini Membawa Transformasi Baru Kepada Kehidupan Kita Semua & Kita Akan Dapat Menyambutnya Dengan Meriah.

Ikhlas Dari Saya Dari Hati  Salam Perayaan!

2 Secrets,a bookfair & some patriotism

Helo, Salam Merdeka to those in Malaysia & Salam Bercuti 2 those in Brunei. This week again, I travelled out of my 'comfort safety zone' of Bandar Sunway to downtown KL right in the Golden Triangle area. Nada kerja lainkah anak ani, every week travel ja! Well, actually bcoz Im ahead of others as my tutorial dah siap 2 wk in advance for Accounting & Finance, a round of applause please! However, Im still struggling with Marketing as that 'old person' assignment burn my head! This time around Im travelling 1 bus, a LRT ride to KLCC to go to Bookfest @ Malaysia 2010. I have been always wanted to go to this bookfair but bcoz of time constraints & school commitments in the previous years, nada dapat pergilah!
Secret No 1: In the Rapid KL bas
On my way to the LRT Kelana Jaya from Sunway Pyramid, I overheard a few 'guy & gals' discussing about conducting a 'race'. I wonder which uni/college/uni college they are from? Monash, Taylors, Sun UC, Metropolitan, etc????? There were talking about sponsors & cash prizes for the race. Some of the sponsors that they maybe approaching are a bank, a dept store, a resort,a gym,a deodorant brand,an apparel brand, etc. To me, it sounds FUN the way they will be conducting the race i.e. public transport treasure hunt race! I hope its for Monash so that I can join in.
A bookfair:Bookfest @ Malaysia 2010
I didnt knew how many of you are 'ulat buku' like me rephrase Im 'ulat magazine & newspaper'. In this modern technology geek world, books are 'so lame' right? You prefer your Astro (cable TV), Youtube, whatever Blackberry,iPhone,Facebook,Twitter, etc better than books right? No doubt some still read 'light books' like gossip magazines like OK,Helo,People,Mingguan Hiburan, etc. However, I can tell you this Bookfest is not just about books (well mostly are books) but if you are a 'bargain hunter', Bookfest is a good place 2 search for bargain stationeries! A little background on Bookfest. Its organised by Popular (yeah Bruneians know this bookstore very well if they had been to Miri or KK or KL or Singapore, etc) since 2006. Hence this is the 5th year its being organised, with the theme ' Reading embraces the world'. Its considered Asia's biggest book expo with exhibitors from Taiwan, HK, China & of course Malaysia! And did you know that there is also a Bookfest Singapore? The bad thing about Bookfest is you have 2 pay 4 entrance RM2 & still cheaper than Metro Ahad (RM2.30) here in Malaysia. It worth it lah! your RM2 considering how many thousands of books & stationeries are on BIG offer! So, Brunei is on holiday now right? So kepada orang2 Brunei yang suka buku adalah dialu-alukan untuk mengunjungi Bookfest yg bertempat di KLCC (KL Convention Centre) dari 4-12 September. Tiket masuk hanya RM2 & ia amat berbaloi! Lets talk about what I do there. 1st, I go to renew my Popular Card for 1yr @ RM12 bcoz ada free gifts (for mine its a T-shirt notebook & Bookfest 2009 notepad leftover kot jangan membazir). Then, I went to do 'charity work' by buying a Bookfest bag @ RM3.90 where RM2 of each sales will be donated to Yayasan Sin Chew which oversees a old folks home! After that, then I go to take my entrance handband & get my Bookfest catalogue cum tiket validated. Main entrance is via Hall 5 & Bookfest spans from Hall 1-5. Hall 4 & 5 is what I described as a giant Popular Bookstore. All of the English books are inside here as well as stationeries. In this hall, I bought all my stuffs since its damn cheap. As much as I want to buy, but my capabilities are limited as Im using public transport. In the Popbasic booth, I got myself 2 files @ RM8 normal @ 6.90 each & 2 pak of testpads @ 9.50 normal 6.55 each! In the Pilot pen booth, I got myself a pack of 3 ballpoint pen @ 1.80 (member price) non-member 2.40, normal 2.90, and guess what the very famous Pilot Rexgrip can be refilled the refill is 1.30 normal 1.70. Its half of the price of the pen & saves the environment too! And I got myself Pilot latest product, Pilot Progrex mechanical pencil at 2.30 normal 2.90. And from the online games booth, I got FREE pen & bookmark just by showing my Bookfest tiket! 1 thing I like about Bookfest is when you take things from eg Pilot booth you no need to pay there, but you pay when you want to exit. Its centralised cashier counters. Lets talk a bit about the other halls, Hall 1-3 is all Chinese books but still I still go to jalan 1 round. Taiwan books are very interesting but too bad I dont read Chinese! After my rounds at the halls, my earlier planning was go to Wisma Central to have some 'cheap' food but since I bought a bag full of stuffs, malas want to jalan forces me to have 'reasonable by KL standard but expensive by my standard' food at Bookfest. I had wantan mee @ RM8! Good thing is the noodle inda kan simpan the colouring kuning so taste great!
The Unexpected Plan
Didnt knew why I went up to 3rd floor of Convention centre for the Yamaha Piano 'exhibition of the yr'. However, boy was I pleasantly surprised that I learnt a lot about piano! Let me share some of the things I learnt about nowadays you can plug in your pendrive & play to the tune of your fav song. Another type allows you to put in your fav CD & it will auto play the key without you press on it. The most basic piano aka electronic type starts at 7000+ while those Grand type the more high class 1 can go up to 100,000+!
Secret No 2:Asia's best kept secret writer
This Singaporean writer keeps my mind guessing who he really is bcoz he is always 'in the dark' aka he never shows his real face. The song that I can use to describe him is Wang Lee Hom song from his latest album The 18 Martial Arts, Nie Bu Zhe Dao De Shi (All That You Will Never Knew). He is 1 & only Russell Lee, the author of the True Singapore Ghost Stories series which somehow never will be completed since there is so much 'mysteries' around us! Before his autograph & meet the fans session in Hall 4 in a section known as the 'Secret Garden' he was given a chance to speak a few words. He ask the spectators/fans do you want to see his face. They replied yes but then Russell said 'Since this is the Hungry ghost month, Im afraid when I open this mask everyone will run away bcoz they are scared' But the audiences reply no! Russell spoke again 'I am not Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian but I am Singaporean. I think this is what Singapore PM Lee meant about the 'Singapore Spirit' in his 2010. National Day Rally speech. Why cant we Malaysians act like Russell Lee by saying Im not Chinese, Malay, Indians, Eurasian, Orang Asli, Bumiputera Sabah/Sarawak but I am Malaysian'. Since this is still 'Merdeka Mood', here I proclaim that I am Malaysian rather than Im Chinese Malaysian! Russell jokes by saying 'If you take a pint of his blood & put it under the microscope & look closely, you find find the 5 stars & stripes which can also be found in the Singapore flag' Then, its game time as well as writing tips from Russell. He ask 1 of the spectators what do you see? This boy answered people/book fans. The way Russell sees it is different he sees a garden with gardeners, flowers & seeds. The garden is Bookfest while the gardeners are the organisers/parents while the seeds are the children. He is trying to imply that parents should nurture their children to read whil they are still at a young age. His writing tips was Do you have a great story, thats it! Then, came the last Q&A with the gift TSGS book 20 paid by Russell for those who can answer his question. He told a story and ask what is the name of this story. Thats simple, I had ever read the story but I forget the name if not I can save RM12, LOL! Nevermind, my RM12 is worth it bcoz I get to shake hands with Russell Lee & take pictures with him. Also had a short conversation with him & his signature 'Russell Lee handshake' (which includes a high 5). In addition, that I got his book autographed, he also gave me an autographed poster as well as a notebook & a wristband! Its going to be my prized asset! If he comes for next yr Bookfest Im going to meet him again!
KLCC
KLCC basically is famous for its Petronas Twin Towers & of course Suria KLCC Mall. That Suria is a very high class mall so I dont dare to enter any of the shops. Yeah, they are some mid range brands but those are also available elsewhere! Anyway, this KLCC enforces a very strict picture taking policy so I can only take a few picts inside! I bought some keychains as a 'imbal balas' to my friend who bought me a keychain from Dubai last time.

I guess thats about it for this time & sorry that this posting takes a long time to be posted due to my damn laptop having so much problems. Really need to bring for checkup! Before that, enjoy some of the pictures I had taken! Bye & Salam Mesra!
