My last bluff of the feb 09 b4 mar 09

Jom jom jom jom jomheboh heboh! Eh, salah channel!Today, Pre U2 students with PS set 1 including me, dikerah for national service aka angkat kerusi @ DS(dewan serbaguna). I am not complaining about this though, in fact I applaud it because selalunya I have nothing to do if no h/w is supplied. One interesting thing, I learnt today is apparently China students are better than Malaysian Malay students in bahasa Melayu. Stress eh, Monday got vector test, the topics that I am the paling inda faham because you need to berimaginasi(not those yellow-minded imaginasi). Ok calm down, if you are stress try this cara. Take a deep breath, then release it and say ah what a wonderful world is today. Set 3, no Accounting so spend my time in library cracking my head to do Maths. In the afternoon, go to OGDC to snap photo to send for the wristband programme. I think Monday, I will write SAMPAH answer for the test. So on that mental note, gotta do Maths revision secara paksa after 9pm.

Reflection of my choice

Today, is the 1st anniversary of my 1st Pre-U classes start. In business studies, we learn about the problem of choice. I faced this problem days after my O Level results was out. I can choose either to go to Science stream or downgrade myself to Humanities stream, based on my so-so result. At the day of registration for Pre-U at SMSA, I decided to take a calculated risk decision to go for H instead of Sc, even the registration teacher ask me are you sure twice. Until, today I am still thinking whether I made the right decision! This cant be answered till the AS/A Level 2009 will be released in 2010. I am thinking do I go to Sc stream, for the sake of higher status or will it fit my future plan? I am wondering if I do choose Sc stream what will be my subject choice(definitely not bio, bcoz i cant draw), can I coupe the higher pressure, etc. After I had a recap on what happen when I was in Sc stream in F4/F5. It was a disastrous 2 years i.e. I broke test-tubes on Chem prac twice(luckily not the pippette/burette otherwise Mr Ismail will be very angry), I cant do titration, I cant light Bunsen burner, Physics class was best though, Bio class was disastrous i.e. I cant answer teacher questions bcoz I dont read bio notes, during Practical, I can barely do nothing & became laughing stock during practical, etc. After considering all these, I made my mind, thats it keputusan muktamad! After all, I am not suitable for Sc stream, bcoz I cant do this & that. So, on that reflective note, I hope the 2009 PreU1 had made a wise subject choice, otherwise use the cooling period of 2 wk to change. I cant change now, bcoz its too late already. Form 4 AS already send!

My day + Jom ketawa

Oh wat a hectic day, today is. 1st, menu of the day is GP Paper 1 test. Payah wah, rushing lagi tu. Cher, pls kesian me & give me a pass, although its OUT OF TOPIK if you are reading this! Macamlah ada teacher want to read student blog! After, the test its my PS, go to library; working out vector question, Im totally blank! Then, in biz studies class, cikgu talk about macam ikan sardin, jump into a big swimming pool, then give essay h/w. Then 2 more class & its 2pm! Hurray balik awal. Ok, I know most of you all will be flooded by h/w by your "kind" tutors. So, to cheer you & me up, here's a lawak yg tak berapa lawak but laughlah if you want, that I learnt during my holiday to Taiwan last December. Sejuk yo, masa tu! Here goes: Di dalam satu kelas Bio (not in SMSA k!), there is a teacher with a few students. The teacher ask which bahagian badan yang akan mati dulu before you die. Ada yg say kepala, mulut, telinga, tangan, tapi ada seorang student yg pemajal jawab kaki. Cikgu tanya why? Ia menjawab setiap malam ia ternampak bila bapanya angkat kaki mamanya ke atas, mamanya meneriaki, aiyah matilah ku! The end of the story So on that joking note, I shall fly out to the reality world.

23 feb 09

25 years ago, Brunei achieves its independence from Britain on 1st January 1984, but it was celebrated on the 23th of February. Today, Brunei is 25 years old, still young and energetic. History class are boring aren't they? zzzz..
Today, I went for a marathon to and back the town 2 times, to get a couple of things, as well as some commemorative stamps from the post office.
Lives are getting tougher, classes are getting more difficult, exam dates are fast approaching, pocket moneys are lesser, but we must weather this storm, as every 12 year cycle, the world is in turmoil.
While looking at online news on Brunei, I read about the PWM Gala night held yesterday, where 400 Malaysian students were awarded for their excellent academic achievements in the year 2008. Some of the winners were from SMSA. I wished that next year, I will be able to get one of those awards. So, on that note, I shall make my move to the exit door of the AS/A Level Academy Awards aka do outstanding h/w dues!
P.S. The Academy Awards results:
Best supporting actor- Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight)
Best supporting actress - Penelope Cruz (Barcelona)

My bluff of the day

I started my day with, both Opera Mini as well as, Go Broadband, not co-operating. Hope that, DST tecnical team can do something about it fast. So far, only Go is working, Opera Mini still down. DST need to do something, although there is only 2 player in the market. I wish have have another choice of mobile browser besides Opera, but wat do you know? Opera is Monopoly, unless I upgrade my phone to a smartphone or iPhone, which I may not due to financial strains, etc. Maybe, I will upgrade, if I pass my AS, A Level with good results and go to Singapore to further my studies. Mobile there are so damn cheap, but it ties you to a contract.
At school, I have an Accounting test, which I think I made a lot of careless mistakes. Stupid me, serve me right because, I don't check me work carefully, despite completing it earlier. It will be a lesson for me in the future, especially as AS Level is approaching. Apparently, teachers are patrotic or what?, for not supplying us with the daily dosage of h/w despita having a long weekend. Bless the teachers!
Today, I learn that policemen job are not only catching criminals but also catching snakes, coaxing cats from trees, etc. In the earlier posts, I have also said that, I am awaiting my superbands from Singapore. And, today I got it. If the NUM teams are reading this: thank you to Mr Shenzi, Mr Jonathan & NUMcrews for creating this NUM Superband project to create awareness on drug abuse. Thanks again, I will be sending my pictures to you guys really soon. This is just like what Brunei A Team but, they dont give FREE wristbands!
Today & tomorrow, many celebs will be heading to Genting for 2 big events live on TV. Check your Tv guide for these. On that note, I shall conclude but do read the following supplements for National Day in Malay!

60 Earth Hour in SMSA?

The Sunday Times said global warming is speeding up, no-thanks to China & India. No wander, heat strokes attack Australia, and a poor koala injured as well as, getting herself a boyfriend for Valentine's.
On the local front, Brunei had been hit by a wave of landslides & the worst ever flood affecting 3 districts. In addition, these floods causes a huge power disruption, traffic jams, it also shows how caring Bruneian are by looking at the donations pouring into 'tabungs' nationwide. On behalf of the victims, I thank donors & may God repay your kindness. Enough rambling! Oh 1 more thing, Brunei Times questioned if all these disasters can be prevented.
To a small extend, YES WE CAN! On the 28th March 2009, WWF will organise 60 Earth Hour in a few cities worldwide. It will be held from 8.30 pm-9.30 pm. What you need to do, is simple. Just switch off all lights for 1hr thats it plus dont operate any electrical appliances except fan/air-cond if possible. In Malaysia, 8TV has pledged to halt broadcast at that prime-time. Hm, not bad for a money-minded, biased station. I wonder if warga SMSA will join in this effort? Bye
P.S. I am waiting for my superband to arrive from Singapore soon, where I will be sporting a red&white wristbands to support a good cause. (for more info on these FREE wristbands: NUM Superbands on google)

Let me summarise what bad news I have seen, 2 accidents had causes Seria bypass to be closed 2 times in 1 wk! As a result, Jalan tengah is badly congested! Yesterday, BB reported about a 26 yrs old woman being detained in Shanghai for trafficking drugs, as she was duped by an African man she knew on9. So many similar incidents, have occured previously but 'tak ada yg dijadikan iktibar'! Lastly, a teen,13 yrs old boy was a father of a baby while the mother was 15! Deepest condolences for the Buffalo air crash victims family, lets have a moment of silence. Bye and reflect 4 a moment

CNY last day!

Da tuan yuan lalala, lai qing zhu lai zhu fu ...
Today is the last day of CNY & no more party mood. Its back to working as hard as an ox!
Happy chap goh mei to all Chinese wherever you maybe or either you are British-born Chinese, Asian-born Chinese, half Chinese or pure Chinese.
Its also known as the Chinese valentine's day where single men & women would go 'pao kam' i.e. go to rivers or stream nearby to throw mandarin oranges with name & phone no! These oranges would be picked up by singles. However, as time passes by, this tradition is slowly forgotten by our youngsters. This job is done by match-making agencies or internet as revealed by today's mypaper! Thats a wrap.

For more info:www.hecas.edu.bn Update: Due to complaints that HECAS portal is down, MOE had advised applicants to visit any 1 of the 4 HECAS terminal school at the Career's Office.

8th day of cny

Oh wats up to all? Hope that you have been enjoying your weekend. Apparently, there is more rain brought by La Nina. Don't ask me who she is! Perhaps some Geography students or teachers can explain that. What I know is I have been catching a cold since yesterday. Achoo, bless me! Well, as I read today's paper, heatstroke is attacking the land Down Under, Australia. For the last note before I start the main focus, I am chasing time as unpleasant weather have been affecting my GP homework progress. Malaysians, including myself have been known to do things the very last minute. However, there is exception i.e. in the case of a brilliant student. The 8th day of CNY is important to us, the Hokkien people as its the birthday of Jade Emperor. At midnight, we pray & offerings to the Jade Emperor hoping that our lives will be blessed.
