Reminscing 2009 Thanks 4 Da Memories

There are ups & downs in life & saddness as well as happiness occassions in life. Well like d other years, 2009 is a very bumpy year in certain times & very enjoyable times in certain times of the year. Right, enough of writing essay lets get into the mains. Enjoy people & hope that you have an enjoyable 2009! Chaws for now, but 1 more thing(borrow from d Uncle in d kartoon haha) What is your most memorable memories of 2009?

Reminscing Times in SMSA 2009
1. Bridging Minds 2009 - after so many years watching it on RTB, finally I have a chance to watch it 'live', thanks 2 d arrangement by school. However, due to school hols. xtended by a wk due to H1n1, school tak boleh arrange transport so gotta 'cari jalan' keluar from deadend. We decided to sewa a small bas for those who r willling to go, but the number is too small bcoz it last minute work. People last minute work would never work unless u r really brilliant/banyak connection. Anyways thanks 2 d other 6 people who have committed to join the bus otherwise tak dapatla aku tengok BM2009 with essence of drama.
2. Trip after A Level - This is the trip that had so much problem, dont want to talk about it again, please read my earlier postings for more ramblings on this. It was the most enjoyable, informative, FUN, sempoi trip that I had ever join and co-organise. Thank Miss Tan for all the help!
3. Exams (A Level, AS) - Really tiring times had to be sacrifice (sort of) to ensure enough rest & revision (R&R). How I will perform hmmm no komen tunggu result keluar, anyways hope we can maintain SMSA status quo, alrite SMSAians?

Reminscing The Famous words 0f 2009 in my life & worldwide
Minta kalendar is the word of the day for 28 dec 2009. Why? wait for next posting in a few days
Kerja macam robot is the word of the day for July 13/14 2009. This is part of HM hard-hitting titah aimed at indecisive HOD according to Brunei Times front page report which had seen newspapers copies flying off shelves on that day.
Babal is the word that SMSAians of 2009 batch wont like because it was uttered in the assembly
You r literally a stalker - Who said this? Its Mizi in his reply to me in his blog cbox
1Malaysia - hmm a concept introduced by PM Najib to show racial integration in Malaysia. what had grown out of that? Amanah saham Imalaysia which is undersubscribed, 1malaysia f1 team which is costing billions but the returns, siapa yg tau kata for pelancongan, sahabat 1malaysia which is a loyalty program. what else? BTN racist or BTN 1malaysia? enough tak nak komen banyak nanti OSA guna susah aku!

Reminscing 2009 worldwide in a flash
COP15 - so much huhuhaha & habuk pun tadak. adalah commitment for some funds w/o real target being set. What will happen to our world after Kyoto Protocol had expired in 2012. Will it be like the movie 2012?
Tiger Woods - hole in 15 haha now thats a great birdie. The scandal which rocks Tiger Woods had really roars well into his pocket as well and media had been focusing on him almost all days.
Michael Jackson dead - The world loses the King of Pop & suddenly everyone knows MJ. Some people says 'dead people brings more money', and in this case its true
Barrack Obama - Change we can believe in, well critics had said President Obama had not stick to his pledge of stopping war by sending more people to Afghanistan. And its done after, he got Nobel Peace Prize! Its it rational to take back the award in regconition of his 'achievement' & tadung the people. haha
Funny stuffs - Cow head & Teo Beng Hock dominates Malaysia media scene in 2009. Govt have spoken, PR opposition had slammed BN, NGO & so-called NGO had protested, what else? Let the god decide who is the 'victim' that had been accused of these names cleared & those who denied these allegations to be punished di 'dunia yg satu lagi'! Lastly, Berlusconi being hit is a funny story too haha
Lastly
HAVE A WONDERFUL 2009 YEAREND PARTY & HELO 2010. Lets welcome the coming of a new decade in this new millenium with a bang minus the protests, squabble & lies. Thats it folks Chaws but 1 more thing haha, Im still a stalker finding people to stalk online, i dont mean looking at people but visit VUP(very unknown person) blogs & comment as anonymous. Ok, DiGi I take bk my words about how great is Digi turbo 3g service in kk, I got GPRS EDGE saja. But I think DiGi will be good once 3g is launched nationwide.
My new year wish
I wish 2010 to be a great yr for work, play & realx as well as love. Haha
Chaws, thank you for supporting this blog & reading my posting for the past 1 and a half yrs. Tata
P.s. Aku iski sma org yg agak New Zealand & Taiwan education trip with a group of kenalan. Inda apa2 bukan rezeki ku dapat ke overseas, dalam Borneo pun cukuplah! And I get to visit my cousins, Suria Sabah, 1borneo, centrepoint, org utan d sepilok haha & lalu arah Zahrah haha

When Life is dull get some lemons

Frosty The Snowman is going to disappear soon no thanks to no consensus in COP15. So much huhuhaha, and 'habuk pun tadak'. However, on the meantime enjoy Frosty The Snowman while you can since global warming is rapidly progressing. Alrite, time for some happiness stories since a few festivals are coming real soon.
Happiness 1 - Winter Solstice festival/Dong Zi festival
Today, is Dong Zi where we the Chinese believes that if you dont have 'tang yuan'/sweet glutinous balls you will not be a yr older & wiser. Oh yes in ancient times this festival is celebrated to mark the arrival of winter season. (Correct me if Im wrong, malas kan google wah).
Happiness 2 - Xmas
Joy to the world lalalala frosty me is freezing frrr. Jingle bells ding dong bell all the way till Xmas day eh ... right enough bk to stories! I am so envy of my friend who is in UK rite now, they can enjoy a real 'White Xmas' with snow, while we living in hot tropical Brunei can only enjoy 'White Xmas' on display at Bukit NBT & Empire. Wang, buat kau Snowman but rosak haha, inda apalah buat ABC ja. LOL! For this Xmas, Im going to KK. Yeah, at last after I had read Reef yg tinggal arah Zahrah, Hafiz I yg terovershoot jalan, Mizi who thinks Manukan is nice, dll experiences in KK. IDK if any1 tersesat sampai ke Keningau, haha! Finally, its my time to go to KK, hiphip horray! Eh wait, sakai banar jua aku ni! Cant wait to explore Suria Sabah, 1Borneo, dll. Last but not least, Xmas must talk about the Xmas gifts. So people what do you want for Xmas? Whether you will get it or not depends on your Naughty or Nice rekod in Santa's iPhone haha. I wish that I would have an iPod Touch for Xmas, which is just a dream til CNY maybe?
Happiness 3 - SMSA got talent
Ok that aint another reality show. What I want to say is SMSA is full of talented people. For instance, one student is a part-time DJ with Pilihan/Pelangi oh IDK, you know who you are I dont need to mention any names. Then another participated in P2F earlier this month and got qualified to the next round, will he or she make it to the top 12? Wait till March then you will know! And there is another one who is going to be RBA FA subject to obtaining 'flight license'. Last but not least, there another one who thinks event management is his/her 'cup of tea' (Siapa tu kan? Haha). Whatever it is All The Best for your future undertakings
Thats about it folks for this issue, next week its going to be Memories of 2009, where I will recap all the 2009  happenings. Lastly,
DONG XI KUAI LE to all Chinese worldwide, AND MERRY XMAS to Christians worldwide
P.S. This blogger thinks that people should appreciate their Xiao Kuai2 who maybe just across the roads or across the oceans. Lets go 'star shooting' with our Xiao Kuai2. Ops I havent got 1, haha. And for those Ji Mo people Im sure you dont want to be Ji Mo for your entire life, so if the chance is here grab your own Xiao Kuai2!

Looking Forward

Hey guys, miss me! No, alright I will start my story now rather than 'talk sampah'. 2morrow is 15th of December 2009, where a summit will be held in Copenhagen. Pendek kata 2morrow is COP15. What is it if you may ask? Its a place where leaders would speak about global warming, cutting carbon emission, polar bears drowning help! Most importantly they are gonna talk about the way forward after the end of Kyoto Protocol in 2012. If you may ask again, is Brunei going have a representative in this conference. The answer is a BIG NO, as reported by Borneo Bulletin journalist, Farah Ahmadnawi. Well, IDK if the status had changes as of tonite. But, there is something which really need to be looked at by Dept of Parks,Environment, Ministry of Development (JASTRE). According to The Guardian website,  environment statistics on brunei, something fishy is not right in Brunei. I wont comment much on this, for I may get into trouble with AGO. You can click on the link and see for yourself what is it about, if you really cares about the environment that is. So looking at that stats., who can we blame? Kerajaan Kebawah Duli? Ourself? Indon/bangla pengutip/penyapu sampah? BSP, BLNG? Korea? Japan? Lets ponder for a moment and look at our lifestyle patterns. Right, this discussion is getting very serious as 56 newspapers around the world spearheaded by The Guardian UK had made a  joint editorial plea calling for a better world in the future. On that note, I leave this discussion till here, or if you wish to debate on this kindly post a comment or on my Cbox. But 2morrow, I will be wearing GREEN to support COP15. Who says youth/teens are not aware about global warming? Siapa?
VOTE EARTH GO GREEN COP15
Looking forward on the light note
From environment we move onto a lighter topic. Im looking forward to my Xmas holiday to Kota Kinabalu. Everytime, I visit Sabah it gives me a lot of surprises, even it had only been a yr I had not visited KK. For instance, a yr ago there was no Suria Sabah aka Metrojaya. This yr, opens up another shopping option for local Sabahans, tourists esp Bruneians who have preferred 2go2 KK instead of Miri due to 'ketakutan kreta kena curi', and last but not least the orang2 Pulau Gaya aka Pulau Seberang. Recently, I had read a news article about the KK City Waterfront project which will serve as a good location for chillaxing other than Tanjung Aru Beach, when its completed in a yr or 2. KK is a vibrant city with lots of stuff to offer. In addition to visiting malls in KK, Im also looking forward to use DiGi Turbo 3G network in KK which can support speed of up 2 14.4mbps. And with Easy Internet theme it costs only RM5/day, compared to Celcom Xpax Rm6/day & Hotlink RM8/day. Now, everyone on the Yellow Nation(DiGi) can tweet,fb,poke,Youtube, blog, surf as much as you like but be warned there is a FUP(Fair Usage Policy) to ensure network are not jammed with P2P. My experience with DiGi that day when Im in Labuan was nice as DiGi EDGE 256kbps is able to beat Streamyx 1mbps. Hows that for a change? I will follow you LOL. Lastly, DiGi Music is also another thing that I would like to try RM5/month for unlimited legal song downloads. But you can choose transfer to PC or mobile only but not both, excluding those DRM-free ones where you can transfer everywhere. Enough of FREE promo for DiGi. For those going to KK, DiGi internet ada EDGE saja otw 2 KK but d KK gerenti zooming speed with 3g, starter pack RM8.50 with RM5 credit, easy topup boleh beli RM5 for 5day or RM6 tak payah 10,20 or 30. While Xpax offers unlimited fb & twittering 4 RM1/wk while the best coverage of 3g in Malaysia. Lastly, Hotlink offers almost similar coverage like Xpax but If you feel red go for hotlink. For more info check respective websites
DiGi Prepaid - www.digi.com.my/prepaid/ (DiGi Prepaid Easy)
Hotlink - http://www.hotlink.com.my/ (Your Total Mobility World)
Xpax - http://www.xpax.com.my/ (Got X Got It All)
Looking Forward towards new things
Last nite, I check on the CIE website and this is what I found. The provisional results of O,AS,A Level will be released on the CIE Direct site on 25 January 2010, and from past experience the result would be released in Brunei by Jabatan Peperiksaan roughtly about a wk or 10days after that date. Im predicting its going to be 2nd February 2010. So people keep your fingers crossed and anticipate the date anxiously. For me, I just prepare for the worst scenario even though I think I can make it as one of the top. Another heatedly debated issue is the SMS result service which is being charged $3/result which is so mahal. I wish to clarify a few points, its not DST nor b-mobile that is pocketing ur $3, its the Mach company that provide this system to MOE. Well of course, MOE gets part of this money too but most of it should be going to Mach. And yes I do agree with the suggestion that the results to be released on a special website as per suggested by the e-government survey/the letter. So people fill in the e-gov survey and let see if MOE hears us. Talking about A Level results, my dad says he will buy me an iPhone 3GS if I get straight 'A's which is practically impossible but tak mustahil if ada keajaiban. Really? So Im very anxious to know my results. Even if my dad is not going to buy me, I would buy it in Singapore when I go to further my studies there soon.
Lastly, just want to wish happy working for those who have gotten themselves part-time jobs in companies, RTB, P2F, etc. Kerja tu elok2 sikit tau, nanti bos marah susah nanti. An those who will be flying high soon, make Brunei proud. And to Ji Mo(lonely) people, go hangout or do something ya!

Anak angkat & anak sendiri

Hi there people, we meet again. Okay, I got a very BZ Sunday ahead of me as later, Im going to DST Carnival, DST HQ as well as a 'furniture treasure hunt' around BSB for a set of sofa in preparation to celebrate CNY 2010. (Tiger tiger mouse mouse it ate too much). By the way, next yr is Tiger Year. Roar, roar, roar!
Anak angkat
Yesterday I was watching Original Kin on The Biography Channel ch 731 (this ch had replaced BBC Entertainment) link. It was about Asian kids adopted by orang putih, finally met her biological/birth mother but her 'mama angkat' was so sad that she had a 'hunger strike'.  This daughter describe the situation as she 'felt in love with another mother, but the love had subdued for another mother'. And, I had been keeping a secret for yrs. Apparently, one of my relatives is adopted. Ok, wont go much into the details if my that relative finds out I will be in a BIG trouble. Whoa, that was a relief to express that secret out!
Birthday Wishes
Talking about 'anak angkat', today, 6th December was someone's birthday. He is The Youth Generation Creative Director, a member of SMSA E-Club, pro in Photoshop, possibly a future townplanner, a 2PM fan who hopes for Jaeboom to return, sells kuih bauhulu in the orientation earlier this year. He is no other than Mizi. Yeah, finally you are 18 Tahun, legal udah ni! Boleh udah minum Shandy, ambil lesen, liat X-rated! As I had said in the earlier posting months ago, the age of 18 comes with lots of perks but also a huge responsibility. And last,y age of 18 is just a number but also a transition stage in life.
DST Group Carnival 2009
A sentence to say about the carnival 'traffic is terrible macam arah warzone'. From JIS til the jambatan near DST HQ til UBD parking lot, it was jam-packed with cars. Thank goodness, there are 4 shuttle buses to and for UBD & DST HQ. 1 suggestion for next year carnival:buat arah tempat yg sanang mencari parking like the Stadium or ICC or tambah shuttle bus, 4 inda cukup, kesian orang tunggu bas. OK, so fill in lucky draw after turun dari bas, then lapas fill in dapat goodies:pensel & kipas or wristband. Yeah, its was a great idea:ISI SURVEY FORMS DAPAT GIFTS. So after done filling forms, looked around the main building, my gosh so many people wanna buy handphone, laptop & broadband packages. Then, its time to look around the booths. There was a DST pavilion with Kristal Astro, interconnection & OntheGo counters offering gifts. Siuk2 orang enjoy, suddenly ada tia orang yg inda faham bahasa  marah orang jaga counter interconnnection. Katanya '3 kali already aku datang kan main the spin the wheel & win, masih jua inda dapat!'. 1 suggestion:bagi avoiding these things from happening lagi, please tambah your contest forms, the carnival still have 4 hours 2 go but the forms are already HABIS! Then ada lagi orang yg inda berclaim anaknya aka the anak sesat & didnt know where to find the parents. The emcee who was Dafy asked siapa bapamu lai & siapa mamamu lai. The boy answered Mulwadi for both. Haha! The emcee suggested to the visitors to prevent these from happening 'tolong ikat anak biskita arah belt kita'. Oh yes, if you had read todays papers there is an article on TVKitani.link Basically its like Youtube, you can upload video on it. So any Marie Digby of Brunei? Then at 4pm there is a MTV Hour with VJ Utt. There are a few games on stage with xclusive MTV premiums up for grabs. One of the game is Feel The Zen, which is you have to taste 10 different stuffs without 'keluar bunyi' or any facial expression. Zen is a Japanese word which means calmness & peace. Oh, yes for MTV fans out there there is a UTT channel on Youtube. Thats about it for story about the carnival. One last suggestion: Why not invite Cyril T to Brunei for next yr carnival. Its sure gonna draw crowds maybe even those from across the borders.
Jatuh Imej
Just now I was reading Mr Reef experience in KK. Its was dreadful especially hotel yg iaorang tinggal tu buruk banar & sort of like 'red light area' (read its not tempat sebarangan but Api-Api Center, in the city centre). The hotel was Zahrah. After reading Mr Reef posting, adalah ku googled about it. And this is what I found:
  1. The hotel was owned by a Muallaf
  2. Hotel rate start dari RM$70
  3. Alternative to Promenade Hotel Apartments
Alternative? Macam mana at least Promenade ada Astro, wireless (xtra charges for both), yg sebuting atu, TV ja & tiba2 banjir. And Reef say its 1-star, but inda ku tau berapa official starnya! Nanti ku check arah Tourism Malaysia. 'what you pay is what you get' is the situation here but not anymore with Tune Hotels, at least nada banjir tiba2 & ada aircon.
Lastly
Alrite folks Im tired of typing already. So lets feel the Zen and be relaxed. Sayonara
This blogger finds its funny & sad when cars ride on escalator & cars move by itself. Tempat atu Z entah ada orang simpan 'fish baby' or 'chicken baby'? Pihak berkuasa DBKK, PDRM, MUIS, please check ok?

Talk of the week its all crap

It’s been a week since I last blog, oh well what to do, I’m extremely BZ (kononnya), & broadband-out-of-credit. I think I will blog about Possibilities & Realities, as well as other couple of stuffs which I had planned since last week. Here goes, enjoy and LOL (but not until Police come knocking at your door) at any funny incidents being described below.

Trouble in Labuan
Harap maklum sebelum mengenakan tindakan undang2 mengikut OSA, Akta MCMC, dsb.
The old PROTON Wira car that my dad had driven since tens of years ago is creating a lot of problems, in other words it’s having PMS! Apparently, it had chosen a ‘good’ day to kena this PMS, which is the day when I went to Labuan last Sunday. Listed below are the problems that it had created from Sunday till Monday
• Engine wont start, my dad knock the battery with playar, then it got ‘brainwash’, then it starts (kena brainshock the engine)
• Tyre got infected by the battery. Tyre pancitlah! Had to drive to nearby Shell to ‘pam angin’
• Tree got too overactive caused by hormones (Bio students is this right?) that it grows so much till it blocks the car way. Had to cut it with scissors, as parang & sabit had already given to orang Timor pemotong rumput on bicycle who promised to help to trim down the trees, but didn’t. (Tadung orang ani!)
• Everyone was looking at our Wira because it was ‘senget’ due to the tyre. (Wah popular kami ni eh, semua meliat kreta kami!). And there was one kind motorcyclist who kindly pointed to us ‘kreta awak senget’, which we already knew and OTW to fix it. This is the beauty of living in small towns like Labuan & Seria. If you are in a ‘bandar besar’ like KL, who cares whether your car senget or whatever, as every1 is chasing time. ‘Time in large cities are extremely precious’
• When we finally got it repaired by changing the rosak/bald tyre, after sometime it rosak again. This time, replace the valve and everything OK!
• Before we went to repair the tyre, the car window apparently also got PMS, so we had to repair it before going to repair the tyre. The car window won’t close, as the parts rosak.
• All these problems are causing hours of lost time for us to enjoy in Labuan & even settling all the things that have to be done.
Labuan is a very calm place to live if you like peace. It’s practically a ‘dead town’ of 80,000 people only. Basically, it’s calm and no-jam but apparently there will be occasional jams occurring thrice in a day only, when cars want to board the ferry to Sabah. So, want to come to Labuan. Are you ready to pay RM$8 for a short taxi ride? Are you willing to pay up to RM$3 for roti canai & teh tarik? Then Labuan is the place to visit, otherwise I would advice you to go to Limbang, Miri or KK, because it’s BORING & MAHAL!

Possibilities & Realities in Life
Life without any challenges is not fun at all. It could be challenges in terms of financial, love, job, study, etc. However, life with too many challenges until someone can’t coupe with it is not nice too, as it may drive those that are too desperate to do ‘silly things’. So, here I am talking about Possibilities & Realities of Life. Let me start with a short story on a movie that I had watched weeks ago, The Last Holiday. This woman in the movie, who was played by Queen Latifah, had a job in a dept. store & she loves to cook. One day, she was diagnosed with a ‘life-threatening’ disease, and had only a month to live. Hence, she decided to withdraw all her savings & used it for a dream holiday to meet her idol chef in a ski resort far2 away. Oh, I forget to state that she had kept a Book of Possibility which includes info of the chef that she wanted to meet, as well as a picture of her with the man that she loves. While, she was having her holiday in the ski resort, many extraordinary things happened to her. And lastly, she found out that she didn’t have any ‘life-threatening’ disease at all, because the hospital misdiagnosed her due to faulty machine. At the end there was a Book of Realities which shows that she had married the man that she loves and opens a restaurant with him. This move had taught me to enjoy every bit of our life, as we can’t predict what would happen in the future. We can only plan but the God will decide. So, if you ask me what are in my ‘Book of Possibility’ right now, I had a lot to say, but as a human we cannot be greedy and the God don’t like greedy people & greedy people may not even get any of their wishes granted. For a Pre-U student, I would say to pass A Level with a grade that enables me to enter NUS. Although, I do hope that I would get Brilliant Awards, the possibility is very low looking at my performance. ‘Arah sekolah langsung tak dapat award, nak aim for Brilliant Award!’ Whereas, in my ‘book of realities’, I can say that I have completed Pre-U. It not quite a big achievement though, compared to those who have completed Pre-U with awards. For my long term, ‘book of possibility’, I hope to gain some experience working as either an accountant/auditor for a few years, then maybe try my hands in F&B biz. My aim is to revolutionise the F&B industry. Meanwhile, I do hope that I can be a radio DJ even though I am not very good at talking but I’m creative with my thots. Ok, people I’m closing this story. So, what are your book of possibility and book of realities, share it through the CBOX.

Lastly
This post is getting very the panjang macam galah panjang. So sorry about that, I really need to express my words out. Anyway, people don’t be afraid to voice out your opinions about any issues (excluding those sensitive issues); neither the govt nor the laws can restrict our thots. They can’t zip your mouth; they can only prevent people from reading your thoughts if it’s deemed too sensitive. As Prof Madya Dr Abu Hassan Hasbullah, a future studies expert said ‘KRITIKAN BUKAN ANCAMAN’. Look at criticism positively, instead of shooting down criticisms. 'Cis, si anu si anu cakap ku macam orang babal di belakangku, dapanku like friend'. Well, try to improve so that no people would call you babal at your back. I had heard a lot of these criticisms on me, since Primary, but peduli apa ku, biar tah iaorang cakap jangan dilawan karang timbul pergaduhan. Adios, people.

Trip of Realities or Possibilities?

Hey there people, welcome to another episode of the game of Realities or Possibilities. Today, we are going to talk about ....,  it’s the wrong script. On 23rd November 2009, after waiting in vain for 2 years, finally the SASians of 2007 batch as well as our new SMSAians friends were able to go on a trip to i-centre, Anggerek Desa & DST HQ, Tungku Link.

Our journey started from SMSA at around 7.20am, however before we were able to depart, Miss Tan, supervising teacher got to ask for Bilik Kerani key as the bus still haven’t arrive at 7 am and usually it always arrive early, so we have to call & ask but I forgot to bring the bas company phone no., so I gotta find buku telefon for the number, haha kurang pandai me!

Then, bus jalan to BSB, otw stop-by @ Seria bus station, Masjid Zainab, Sg Liang masjid & lastly Soon Lee Sg Liang to pick up some of them. Meanwhile, as they board the bus, I became the 'ticket boy' collecting payment from those who haven’t pay. On the other hand, otw to BSB, we saw a lot embassies car going down to KB, wonder what is on there? And, we saw 1 of those cars 'rosak di tengah jalan', pity the ambassador, kesian! In the bus, Honda Accord was mentioned frequently, was about ... biarlah rahsia since its private matters.

Di i- centre

At around 9.30 am, we reached i-centre.1 of the expression that some of them said was 'so small one the building'. While waiting for the person-in-charge, we wandered around the ground floor of i-centre. Some of them were snapping pictures, some were putting their eyes on Coffeezone, and some were eyeing hot guys (some of the girls did spot 1, the name was Nick). Person-in-charge was Dewi, and she wanted to meet Teo who was corresponding with her. She thought that I’m a teacher or staff member, but unfortunately not, I’m just a student! Then, every1 trying to kacau me calling me 'Teacher Teo', haha! Isn’t there is a Mr. Gregory Teo @ Mikhail teaching Bio in SMSA? LOL!

Then, we were listened to a 'short' presentation about i-centre, which lasts for about 1hr. It was interesting, as Dewi was also talking about her experience about working as a waitress, working in the bank, before working for i-centre & there was a part of the slideshow that gives 'info terbalik' that was corrected by the Centre Manager. Won’t talk much about i-centre, otherwise readers would be put to sleep! Zzzzzzz!

i -centre was officially launched by HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah on 26th March 2008; however it starts operation in 2007. i-centre is a project of BEDB & managed by KR Consulting, a commercial arm of NUS. It was led by a Centre Director & assisted by a Manager. There are 5 division in i-centre, namely Incubation, Marketing & PR, Facility, Administration, IT Support and surprisingly staffed by only 1 in each dept! Presently, there are 16 incubatees in i-centre. i-centre organised workshops under the brandname THiNK BiG. Think you have an idea bout IT, why not join the Biz Plan competition? Hard cold cash of 20k awaits the winner. Keeran Jannings(Expansys Technologies), who got 2nd place in the THINK BIG biz plan winner with the product YouGotSnapped. It’s a Facebook application. He was also voted as the 2nd cutest guy in Brunei, as voted by readers of RanoAdidas.com in a web poll.

In the near future, i-centre hopes to have a mini-Silicon Valley ala Brunei, with the building of Anggerek Desa Technology Park next door. At i-centre, they work as a team & they play hard as well as work hard. Some of the fun activities that they have are trips to Silicon Valley, Movies nites, Breakfast Club every fortnight. Lastly, we were explained about the misconception about i-centre:

• i-centre is not an EYE clinic as many thought

• i-centre is not the same as AiTi or vice-versa, jauhnya beza

Lastly, before the presentation ended, there was a quiz session with 5 prizes sponsored by incubatees (Alif & BAG). I was lucky to win one of the prize, a notepad with a pen sponsored by Alif & Mr. Photoshop Mizi was lucky to win 2 prizes, the Alif sponsored gifts & another by BAG Network. Before we were brought for a tour, Miss Tan presented a memento from SMSA to i-centre.

Green & Blue Floor

Then, we were brought on a tour of the 2nd and 3rd floor, better known as Green & Blue floor. Security were tight here as to enter need access card. We were shown brought to Mimit room, one of i-centre incubatees. Mimit had a product known as V-Trak, which is a GPS tracking software build for G4S. Now, with this you can track whereabouts are your 'anak dara','anak teruna', boyfriends, girlfriends, husband, wife, etc. A small device needs to be placed in the car, but it costs about 1k. This is useful for those always go to Miri, if your car kena curi, you can track your car & immobilise it. The boss also revealed that they are working to get their own virtual map licensed by Google, so if they made it, then they will be the 1st Bruneian company to work with Google.

Lastly, we were brought to the ground floor to show us i-centre security system build by John Harith Computer. It was based on face detection and access-card scanning. The funny thing here was Mr. John Lee, one of the owners of John Harith Computer arrived and he met Harith SMSA his partner, Harith replied its partnership. After that, it’s candid moments & says cheese!

After that off to The Mall for lunch. We spend around 1.5hr at The Mall before departing to our next destination, DST HQ. At The Mall, after lunch, I met Zaim and so me, Eric, Zaim & Harith wandered around The Mall (looking at stuffs at Apple Store, I want a iPod Touch any1 wanna give me, walk to the 'kedai komunis' to buy CDs, etc). Before I met them, I wandered around The Mall myself trying to find Flesh-IMP store, a Singapore brand which has just entered Brunei market. OMG, so lawa the T-shirts but the price is also 'lawa'! Before we were about to depart to DST, we were having picture time & to our surprise 2 Spaniards said they are from Spanish TV & asked us to say a few words for the camera. Ola is one of it, another I can’t remember! Then, Miss Tan said 'oh oh those students have been hooked by the orang putih', as most of us were already in the bus except a few.

At DST HQ
We arrived at DST at around 1.50 pm. While waiting for the person-in-charge, we wandered around the building lobby & snapping pictures of things on display cabinets: mobile phones, cable TV goodies (wonder why we subscribers don’t get any?), etc. After waiting for like 30 min., we went for a short presentation on DST in the auditorium on tingkat 1.5. (Yes, no typo error). How do we get upstairs, using staircase, not normal staircase, but yg ada hole in between each steps. ‘Takut ku eh’! The presentation was done by Pengiran Haji Zahari, one of the Corporate Communications Dept officers. He explained about the organisation structure, companies under DST, CSR activities by DST, etc.

DST Carnival
He also revealed that on the 5th & 6th December, they are going to held DST Group Carnival there. Many fun activities would be available & not forgetting prizes to be won. In addition, personalities from Radio Era & Astro Ria would also be present. Last yr, they held it & I was present, it was so packed. Plus, there was really cheap bundles on Go! Broadband modem+laptop+prepaid packages. My dad scolded me for so eager to buy earlier the laptop, as when I bought from DST in August 2008, it was 1199, in the carnival it was 999. So if I buy in the carnival I would save lots since my dad paid 300 for modem, 30 for the Prepaid SIM card and lastly 1199 for a Dell XPS=1529, SAVE 530! OMG! This year, I have no idea what promo they will offer, but I should be as good as last years. Right, enough of free promo for DST.

12th Floor Phobia!
Before, the presentation ended we were presented gift bag containing water bottle, and some lucky ones got extra stuff such as a mug or a planner. Miss Tan also presented a memento to DST. Then, it was off to 12th floor for a little sightseeing. ‘Laju eh lift ani’ was one of the expressions said by some of them. However, the officer said ‘Dulu lagi laju, masani inda’. I think they slow it down because of something which happens years ago, wont talk much about it. Ada yg cakap ‘Siuk ni buat prom di 12th floor’, oh IDK but for yg gayat aka claustrophobia payah kan enjoy. The view from the 12th floor was amazing, we can see ‘Green Building’(hutan), Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, JIS, the sea, MOF building, Bukit Shahbandar, etc. We had our group photo here! Then, it’s off to 11th floor @ DSTCare 151.

DSTCare 151 @ 11th floor
If you are a DST subscriber, you would call this number when you complen pasal nada line, line kena block, nada servis, speed lagging, etc. There are 12 operators at max who handles up to 60,000 calls/month. DSTCare 151 receives an average of 120,000 calls/month of which 50% would be handled by IVR(interactive voice response) without going thru operators. Here, the operators practice 3C (Courteous, Commitment, and Courage), is it? They have a mirror in front of them, and they are required to smile when answering calls. It sounds silly right? And they also got Astro equipped TV to entertain them & to check on the signals quality. Bah, siapa kan apply jadi operator?

Blok Under Renovation
After 11th floor tour, we visited another block there. It houses the Kristal FM studio as well as Network Ops Centre. At the time of visit, DJ Dafy was the DJ. He was also an ex-SMSA years ago. He explained to us about the RCS which was capable to store 300,000 songs & the manager, Azmi said that they will be buying new RCS from Germany which will be able to store 3 billion songs. Unfortunately, for 3 girls who sat down on the chair were interviewed by DJ Dafy. They are Fuizana, Zafirah S & Nadeera. They conveyed their greetings & requested Bad Romance-Lady Gaga. According to DJ Dafy in order to be a radio DJ, need 6-7 months training, since they are so many buttons to tekan. OMG, next time if I wanna be a DJ in 987 Singapore, kesian aku! After the visit to KFM studio, we had another group photo taken with DJ Dafy, Azmi & DJ Sasha (newbie on KFM). Then, we visited NOC, the place where so many Physics stuffs were explained & monitors the DST network. No cameras were allowed, due to confidentiality.

Makan ke Gym?
Before we ended our tour of DST, we were treated to a small jamuan in the cafeteria which was the same block as the gym. Then, balik to Belait!

Word of Thanks
I, as the Trip Coordinator wishes to thank 1st of all Miss Tan, who helped me with the financial matters & also searching for students to join the trip. Secondly, I would like to thank i-centre (esp. Dewi, Mimit boss) & DST (esp. Pg Haji Zahari, Encik Wahab, DJ Dafy, NOC officers) for accommodating us, explaining to us stuffs & for all the nice gifts & blanja makan. Lastly, I would like to thank all the students who have participated in the trip. I also would like to apologise to Zafirah S who gotta pusing balik to Seria as it was getting late, Mizi who gotta travel to Masjid Zainab. MAAF YE! Thanks for those who have given me compliments too!

Lastly
Siapa yg inda ikut trip ani RUGI. What you RUGI: Hmm you gotta endure tutup karan in ¾ of Belait District for a short period of time, the magnificent views from 12th floor DST, the stories of i-centre, chance to be in Spanish TV. As Shely said because she didn’t go so she didn’t know what she have miss, yes I agree! As the title suggest Trip of Realities or Possibility?, last 2 year, I would say it is a trip of possibility as it may happen, yesterday I can say it’s a trip of reality because it really did happen. So do our life, it could either be reality or possibility. Now, I have completed A Level so the next possibility in life is to obtain straight A in A Level & enter NUS with a scholarship & maybe start as a part-time DJ next year @ 987 Singapore. Whether it will be a reality or not, is another matter? So, think about it!

Garra garra go! More stories in a couple of days & pictures of the trip would be uploaded later, since they are some technical problems (missing camera). Sorry for such a lengthy post, hope you enjoy it! Next posting I’m gonna to continue to write about Possibility or Reality of Lives.

P.S. John Harith Computers Mr. John Lee & Harith SMSA haha, so what about Amici Restaurant, Mizi SMSA & Ciara the artist is the owner?

1 month, then and now crap

Hello there netizens, long time to see, as I’m in an ‘exam fever’ mood for the past 1 month or so. Now, I am bk to write more crap in this blog. Few stuff to talk about in this posting

A Level Diary
Maths P1 on 15 Oct – Easy but may have careless slips here & there as usual
GP on 19 Oct – It was unpredictable for Paper 1. In P1, I have chosen a weird question about government use of tax revenue, since the other questions I have very little idea. Most students in Brunei wont chose, as they think that Brunei is a NO TAX COUNTRY. Some of them even said that, who have chosen this question as idiot, stupid & yg sama dengannya. That means I’m stupid, HUH? LOL! Not funny at all, I’m not even laughing or smiling. Too bad while writing that essay, I misspell some words. I would say my choice in GP is a calculated show-hand bet.
Maths P4 on 21 Oct – Quite tough, and in addition maybe throw about 9-10 marks due to carelessness again!
Maths P3 on 28 Oct – Easier than I thought, but the questions on vector & differential equation can’t answer well
Maths P6 on 4 Nov – In a way, some of the way the questions were asked is weird. Example would be standard deviation in a box-whisker. Q1 and 4 could be my deciding point. Few days, after the P6 exam someone (not me) goes to ask his/her doubts to their respective teacher. When this teacher replies, he/she kind of said something which is insulting the non-A grade students. (The statement I think is not suitable to be posted here; otherwise I might be having trouble with MOE) Basically, what I can tell you are this teacher said that one of his/her ‘A’ grade student can’t answer that particular question thus affecting his/her chance of scoring an ‘A’ or even more than that. The teacher then said, you all the ‘not very good’ students get ‘B’ happy already.
Biz Studies P3 on 10 Nov – Q1 I would say I cincai it! The rest should be Ok
Accounting P4 on 11 Nov – Q1 have some careless, Q2 is Ok; Q3 is just pray I get some marks. Overall, 3 out of 6 topics that I predicted come out
Accounting P3 on 19 Nov – Most were repetitive questions but somehow some new questions, I just have a guess. No harm guessing could be right!
THE END OF MY A LEVEL EXAM DIARY, NEXT STOP UNI EXAM

Trip after A Level Update
After so many mud-slinging and an hour spent calling to DST, RBA, RBC, RTB, Empire, the trip that I have been planning FINALLY WILL BE A REALITY ON Monday, 23rd November 2009. At first, I only got like about 12 confirmed to go, but when I asked Miss Tan, Accounting tutor to be supervising teacher, she really helped a lot in terms of getting more people to join the trip. Otherwise, It would be a lose-making trip. So, this trip we, are going to visit i-centre in Anggerek Desa & DST HQ, Tungku Link. I will post up pictures and stories after the trip!
JUST WANT TO THANK MISS TAN & ALL THE 28 PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE MADE THIS TRIP A REALITY!!!!
THANK YOU, XIE XIE NI, TERIMA KASIH

General Crap
Lately, I am so into Evan Yo songs. He is a Taiwanese singer who has just graduated from National Taiwan University. He has just released his 2nd album, Loneliness Enough with songs such as Loneliness Enough and Small Kid Be Good (Xiao Kuai Kuai), or whatever, LOL! For fans out there like me (not a real hardcore fan though, I am hardcore fan of Mr Blue J), DiGi Music will present a mini-concert of Evan Yo & Y2J (a rock band) in 1 Borneo Hypermall, KK, Sabah on 6th December 2009. Admission is Free but you have to subscribe to DiGi Music Unlimited to get entrance tickets. Damn, if I knew Evan Yo would have a concert in KK on the 6th, I would not go to KK in Christmas but instead on the 4th or 5th. Air Asia can you pity me change my ticket FOC boleh?

Tutup Cerita
Ok, folks my hands are already complaining, I guess I would stop here. Sorry for the very lengthy post. See you when I see you again. Signing Off

Terrible Thursday (Double T)

Morning Greeting
Sunday morning people, so good morning to all but it maybe not a good morning who are chasing time(a Nat Geo game name few years ago) aka those who are sitting for Sociology in less than 24 hrs time. So good luck guys!
MPPs sings over PA system but ....
Yesterday, MPPs were singing a song over the PA system that was composed by themselves & dedicated to the teachers, in conjunction with Teachers Day on Sept 23 2009. They also wishes the teachers a HAPPY BELATED TEACHERS DAY. However, I heard some very negative comments from some of the students in the canteen. I think appreciating teachers is GOOD so what about out-of-tune? The main thing here is the intention or niat!
Coming Near Your Doorsteps
In a few days time, Im gonna sit for my 1st A/AS Level paper which is Maths 1 followed by GP. Thanks to me taking AS in June, I can avoid 4 papers which is a good thing since there will be clashes which is not very nice clashes. Just a piece of info to share, according to an ex-SM of a school, they normallly advise students who have got A-C grade in June AS in their papers to be exempted from taking AS papers in November & only concentrate on A2 papers. But, our case our tutors want A grade only then we can be exempted.
The Big Story (Terrible Thursday)
As people say save the best for last, so this is my last story for this blog posting. On Thursday afternoon, bak kata pepatah 'malang tak berbau', me & Angie got involved in an a******* in front of Balai Bomba Seria & St. Angela's School (my ex-school), in the middle of a busy 12-1 timeframe. Ok this is my theory of what happened, not the police or the auntie who drives us to school or that fat victim uncle version! I was feeling that the car was slowing down, then suddenly BANG! Using the principle of F=MA, the car was slow but the force was huge! Next is the auntie driver version, she said she was driving slowly & couldnt see the car in front pasal its silau or bright sunlight. Lastly, is the fat victim uncle version, who claims that 'Anakku 2 orang terantuk kepalanya & the engin baru ditukar seribu labih' and blames the auntie for driving fast and causes the fiasco. The fiasco involve the 1st car in front a Toyota Prado, a blue Nissan (victim), a red old Toyota (people that was blamed). Lets analyse the situation, tha victim uncle said the auntie drive fast & bangs to his car bumper then he crashes into Prado & his car front hancurlah! Eh helo, Prado is very toughlah even though the belakang car bang your car slow/fast the impact should be about the same. Luckily, nobody was injured but I got some trouble moving my right arm & Angie got a bump on her head, and to be fair to the victim the 2 anak terantuk kepalanya! Earlier this year, my horoscope/zodiac states that I may have some problem with the authorities such as police & Immigration and its so true as 2morrow I had to go to balai to beri keterangan.
Lastly
Just want to wish everyone who will be sitting for O, AS & A Level exams in Brunei especially those in SMSA and Youthgen team, GOOD LUCK & MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU! I will be back in a couple of weeks, since exam is stressful thus no mood/idea to blog. BYE, HAPPY EXAM!

Few more days, BIG complaints

Welcome to the last few days of my 'waktu relax' as my 1st A Level exam will be Maths 1 on October 15th, which I really needs to work hard for it. Sekelip mata saja sudah October, thats mean A Level is just around the corner.
The plan is to work as hard as possible but will try to maintain my regular TV time, its impossible that I will revise 247 non-stop, then before I sit for exam, masuk hospital sudah tu.
On Monday, the 1st day of school we, set 3 Accounting plans a surprise party for Miss Tan, our tutor. She cried as she was touched by one of the speech written by one of the students.
As A Level approaches, apparently more & more students are taking study leave. And teachers are apparently not very happy about it. So, how many are plannig to take leave starting next week? Satu, dua, tiga, empat khayalan menjelma!
Talking about BIG complaints, I really will complaint! Starting from last August or so, apparently the boys toilet in secondary block was locked almost all the times. I wonder why? Some sources, tell me that the school wants to preventing people from smoking in the toilet. Even though, the school wanted to prevent students from smoking pun, pity some of the students who needs to 'clear their tangki oftenly, otherwise some other problems will exist'. Next BIG complaint that Im gonna talk about is BLACKOUT! Apparently, starting from Sunday nite while I was watching the finale of I want to be a model, it suddenly blackout, but the funny thing is only half of the house blackout while another half OK. On Monday morning, then it starts to blackout in the whole house till about 4pm. Then, at night the HUGE BLACKOUT that affects most of Brunei Muara, Tutong & Belait district occured. Luckily while other was 'berpanas', I was able to watch The Amazing Race. But then, the next day it blackout again! TWO BLACKOUT IN 2 DAY! Havent the pihak berwajib mengambil iktibar dari kejadian lepas i.e. January blackout. This blackout really angers people especially businesses and students like me, as we need light to revise. However, we can use also candle to study just its more romantic, LOL!
Lastly, HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL, MOONCAKE FESTIVAL, CHUSEOK FESTIVAL to people depending on whereabout are you! Enjoy mooncake with your loved ones with a cup of tea is the best thing!

What if I studied 4 hours a day and still cant get good grades, but some smart brads only studied 2 hours a day and still get good grades. Might as well, dont study even with long hours of study still cant get good grades!
This another quote from somewhere - School is not about knowledge you get from books but its also about learning how to interact with people (which I done badly). It doesnt matter if you 'fail' but make sure you learn some life lessons while there.
That's it for this post, will take a long break from blogging will be back October 3. Lastly, HAPPY TEACHERS for teachers whether you are at east or west

My Crazy Translation of my fav song for this yr

Its so much FUN listening to the radio, while they are playing with Guessing English songs translated into Malays. The song that I heard just now that was translated into Malay was Akon's I will be with you, but I like better the Chinglish version by Wilber Pan & Akon. Its still raya mood just the 3rd day, so how many 'duit raya' have you collected, how many 'tapak kuda' have you eaten? Right back to my crazy translation, of Spilled Water Cant Be Retrieved Back something something enjoy people!

Oh air tertumpah ke atas tanah
Oh ow woo ow woo ow wo ow
Oh ya
Ini adalah saya, cerita saya

Rap 1
Tak payah penjelasan
Awak tak perlu memberikan lebih penjelasan
Awak tak perlu berpatah balik dan mencari
Trend cinta sejati akan berubah
Cinta itu ada permulaannya tapi tiada penghujung
Orang selalu menyesal, bila air tertumpah ke atas tanah

Korus
Jadi, ayah bawa impiannya, impian sejak kecil bersamanya
Berkembang dan menjadi terkenal di Bandar
Muzik adalah masa depannya
Mak adalah rumahnya, kalau mak dah pergi siapa lagi yg akan menemani dan bercakap dengan dia, kecuali muzik
Korus 2
Vancouver hujan, Bandar cerah
Mengapa dan Kenapa hujan lebat ini mengeluarkan makna dariku
Aku sedang memikirkan kenangan manis
Muzik menandakan masa
Beri awak dengar perasaan sebenar saya, air tertumpah ke atas tanah

Korus
Rap 3
Januari 1995, kami tiba di Vancouver
Tak tahu bahasa orang putih, hmm hanya bahasa Melayu
Ayah dan mak bawa impian mereka (ke Vancouver), harap anak mereka akan merealisasikan impian mustahil mereka
Muzik impian saya
Darah ibu dan ayah saya kata 'Air tertumpah ke atas tanah'
Rap 4
14 jam penerbangan, 6 tahun kerja keras
Saya pulang ke rumah kami yg nyaman berbekalkan piano, keyboard dan komputer riba saya
Blue J adalah nama saya, JMY adalah masa lampau saya
Sekarang buat satu remix
Ini adalah lagu saya & ayah

Air tertumpah ke atas tanah
Air yg tertumpah ke atas tanah tak boleh diambil kembali
Apa gunanya menyesal sekarang?
Korus 2

Thats the end of my translation of this song. Thats a wrap for this posting. Bye, Enjoy Your Raya while I try to enjoy mine with lotsa worries. In case there are copyright issues with this post, I would gladly remove this post. Thank you

The near future ahead

Selamat berpuasa for another day for Muslims in Brunei, as the Hakim Sharie Brunei have announced that, 'anak bulan Syawal' isnt sighted. Well what do you expect, today is a rainy Saturday with a short period of sunshine only, you cant be expecting to sight the 'new moon' which is micro in size in a cloudy & rainy day. But, who knows that even on a cloudy day also can sight the 'new moon', as its all in the hands of Allah. Kata orang: Kita hanya boleh merancang, tetapi Allah yg menentukan.

Im now in a very bad mood, as my future is like 'hanging on a cliffhanger' now! There are a few options for me though! Currently, Im waiting for my student pass to be processed by MOE, before Im allowed to stay till at least A Level had finished by the Immigation. But, after that date as of now I still had no idea what is ahead for me. Lets me share each option that I have.

Option 1
Find a Bruneian penjamin - According to the immigration, if I can find a Bruneian penjamin who can 'jamin' me to stay in Brunei, I will be able to stay in Brunei till perhaps January or February 2010. The problem is SIAPA MAHU JAMIN ANAK ANI YG INDA BRAPA PANDAI & RAJIN?
Option 2
Keep on renewing visit pass every 2 wks - This is a very good option indeed, I can 'balik kampung' & jaga kedai with my sepupu yg tunggu result SPM for 2 wks, then return to Brunei for 2 wks, then going through this routine balik-balik every 2 wks. But, the Immigration is not going to be happy if I keep on doing like this a few times, & I will be BANNED from entering BRUNEI! Plus, it more paperwork for immigration as well as money spend for me too!
Option 3
Part-time job - This is going to provide me with some hard cold cash to be earned & spend my holiday time productively. According to Employment Order 2009 (as if I know the law) , the only job that I can do as a PADI/foreigner is 'buruh kasar', 'pemotong rumput', 'supermarket work' & other odd jobs. Well, I must say office boy job or account assistant job is ok too looking at my situation, but they are only open for Bruneians saja. Thumbs up to the Brunei government, for 'mendahulukan orang lokal dalam peluang2 pekerjaan'!
Option 4
Voluntarily join PLKN for 3 months - According to my calculation, with this option I can fully use my 6 months holiday before I enter Uni, if I pass A Level that is. Tapi PLKN is latihan ketenteraan berkonsep 1Malaysia with Malays, Chinese, Indians, Orang Aslis, Ibans, Dusun, Murut, etc in 1 camp. There are a few modules in PLKN such as Kenegaraan, Ketahanan Diri, Kebajikan kot. It would be really FUN, minus the FUN if the coach is very strict, pasti setiap hari aku kena marah!
Option 5
Leave Brunei after 31 December 2009 - This is 1 of the worst pilihan that I have compared to the other 4 options, as I gotta leave Brunei which I had called 'home' for the past 12 years. I really will miss Brunei: its cheap stuffs, its people of course and the 'soil, 'pasir', LOL!
Change the scope, now. HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY TO Detective RABBIT (bukan nama sebenar) which somehow got lost on its way to 'find Alice in the Wonderland', and found itself landing in Brunei as my best friend. Panjang umurnya, 18 tahun udah kita ustaz eh salah orang pandai yg bakal ke England lepas Raya! Saya sebagai seorang rakan yg baik (kononnya), mengucapkan selamat panjang umur, murah rezeki & sukses selalu, mungkin awak salah seorang Sultan Scholars in the future.
Talking about Sultan Scholars, His Majesty the Sultan had presented to 5 students Sultan Scholars for 2009-2010 academic session on Thursday.2 of them were from SMSA, namely Muhammad Ayyub Hj Kamaluddin (Ketua MPP 2007-2008) & Nur Amirah Ibarahim. Wohoo, congrats to SMSA & its tutors for producing so many brilliant students since the establishment of 6th Form in KB. For the record SMSA had 3 (including those awarded recently) of its ex-students had received the Sultan Scholar scholarship since its introduction in 2007. Sultan Scholars is one of the most prestigious scholarships in Brunei, which is awarded on the basis of merit & impartiality (dont care who you have 'connection' with or what is your race, I like this). So, for 2010-2011 I am predicting at least 1 student from SMSA will obtain Sultan Scholars. So, all the best SMSAians in the A Levels, do your best & you never know you may achieve it too!
This post is getting extremely LONG, so I need to close it with a greeting.
MAAF YE!
Sekian, terima kasih jumpa lagi NEXT WEEK!
P.S. Tahun ni tak de iklan Petronas hasil Yasmin Ahmad yg amat ditunggu2. Tetapi karya2 beliau akan sentiasa diingati oleh rakyat Malaysia! 1 month, 3 month, 2 week that is the question for me now!

Reminscing The Times (1 yr after 915, 916)

Last year, on Sept 15th, Lehman Brothers collapsed and triggers the 2008-2009 economic meltdown which indirectly affects us. As in our pocket money had shrunk, and our 2009 CNY 'red packet' had dropped in value (I have to work hard in my uncle shop to earn my big CNY 2009 'angpau', YES ITS PARTLY TRUE!) . Meanwhile, on the next day Sept 16 of last yr, something that was supposed to happen did not materialised and the status quo remains, for a period that it is yet to be seen! Would not talk too much about it, as I dont want to be charged under Sedition Act! Too much serious talk will make my blog reader boring!

Next, continuing the memories of Pre U. The focus for today is Accounting classes. Accounting class was pretty havoc most of the times with the presence, of the '3 musketeers sitting at the back of the class', till one of them changed to set 5, then it was quite quiet with occasionally too much noise being created! Talking about noise, we enjoyed 'bargaining' with Miss Tan, Accounting tutor about our extra class timing, afternoon classes timing & amount of H/W! Most of the time, we managed to haggle down, but sometimes, she pretend to be deaf and therefore, SHE WINS! Although she can be 'mean' sometimes, she can be 'kind' also, as in she always belanja us keropok, cookies, candies, 'cockroach egg'. (Luckily none went to hospital, LOL!) Oh yeah, lastly we also enjoys spotting her typos errors which were so frequent, as she just 'copy & paste' as she admitted it herself. For example, creditors become crebtors! Close, memories stories for now, more in next posting!

Just now, while have a short dooze, had a such a 'scary' dream! I wonder what it means? It was about computers, and .........

Thats a wrap for now, lastly SELAMAT HARI MALAYSIA KEPADA WARGA MALAYSIA TERUTAMA SABAHANs (termasuk saya) & SARAWAKIANs & SELAMAT BERSUNGKAI IN 1 HR!

Hah, mainlah 'meriam buluh' kalau tak takut kaki patah, tangan patah, mata rosak, dsb. Main saja bedil yg diluluskan jangan main ini!

Things really gotta change

On a hot Saturday morning, the day after the 911 8th anniversary, there were 'cold war', 'peace talk', 'supposedly World War', for the students as their parents meet their children teachers and the teachers shall expose all whatever the student had done in school (good or bad), subject to 'self-censorship'. The hall was pretty busy for the 1st hr, but after that it slowly became 'a creepy place' because it was very quiet. And, I have to wait for the 'closing ceremony' of the MPH for my dad to come as he had meeting earlier, and got lost somehow! Dad I already told you before:GET A GPS! LOL! Well that is a witness account of what happened just now in MPH!

Nihao people, zheng zi how ma, Cai Nu Li To Achieve Better Next Time! JIAYOU! *suddenly jumping* Finally, after my phone went 'babau', my dad had agreed to buy me a new phone, YAHOO! Inda pulang very latest tapi bolehlah ada 3.5G, camera & bluetooth its enough for me. Probably, the phone is on the 'next plane to Brunei' or still with the Merlions? Next yr, Im gonna get an iPhone 3GS when I go to Singapore to further my studies. Phone talk tutup kedai, its time for some serious talk!

The journey of a PreU student is almost coming to an end, but the journey to the finish line is very very tiring as a lot of hardwork is required, and the 50% given by teachers are already almost fulfilled, now the another 50% depends on yourself/myself. And maybe some % depends on the Cambridge examiners mood, but the main thing is to reach the finish line with a good position, you gotta have the will to succeed, willing to work hard, sacrifice other unimportant things (gaming, TV, relationship but dont let it putus), and of course have to work hard. But, you cant also discard other technical issues such as 'pens', as I got lots of bad experiences related to 'pen rosak' in tests, I really hope that problem wont affect me and others sitting for A Level. As I type, this post, really I really have to start working hard on my subjects such as Biz Studies & Maths, while maintaining my standard for GP & Accounting(Miss Tan hopes that I can get perfection, 10 chuan shi mei). Expectations are really running extremely high for me as this teacher expect Top in The World, Top 10 in the world, etc. I also dont want to disappoint them when the results come out in February 2010, so theme is WORK HARD and dont just make it 'kata lain, buat lain'. 'The grass is not always greener on the other side'. Klik had something really interesting to inspire every1:Sesungguhnya kelmarin bagaikan mimpi yg telah berlalu sedangkan esok adalah suatu harapan yg indah walaupun hari ni adalah realiti kehidupan sebenar! Another is from Blue J song lyrics which if translated goes like this:YES PLEASE DONT GIVE UP DONT SAY NO! WHAT WAS BEFORE THE EYE WAS A DREAM, STICK TO IT OR GIVE UP!

People this post is getting very long, because I gotta express my feelings out because this is 'My Life, My Expression'. Lastly, last few days had a few photo session with GP set mates & Accounting set mates. Thanks to Shuaib & Terence for being the photographer.
THATS IT PEOPLE, HAPPY HOLIDAY BECAUSE ITS NOT SO HAPPY BUT TRY TO MAKE IT A HAPPY ONE! AND HAVE A PRODUCTIVE 1!
P.S. 12 most annoying type of Facebookers include me sorry facebook friends for annoying you all for the past 1 yr! Today is the 22th day of Ramadan which is part of day 21-30 of Ramadan which is known as Lailatul-Qadar, where Muslims are encouraged to pray to Allah, as the pahala is 1000X more than usually. Macam pandai Agama pula aku ni, hmm!

Reminscing The Times (Feb 08 - Sept 09)

Salam 1Malaysia, Sawadikap, Anhyeongsayo (ngam kah?), Hi, Maybe Im Back Kot?
Its exactly 562 days since 28th February 2008 (PreU batch 08/09 starts), but it seems that it was just last month that I had started PreU courses. Many interesting things happened, right from the beginning of the orientation till today (either sad, happy or shocking things, events) and the story will still go on until end of November, when holiday start for us till result is released. From Dec 09 till end of Jan/early Feb 2010, just sit back relax and enjoy the long holidays or have a productive one by getting part-time jobs (including membajak sawah incase your family have 1, fishing but be careful you dont want to fall into the longkang/river/sea). And even organising activities such as trips, proms, parties like what Im gonna do, if I get the necessary things and permission, incase police make spot-checks.
Recapping what happen during GP classes, especially presentations were FUN . We had a short-acting while doing the topics 'Care for the aged', and the winner of GP Class Oscars goes to Miss Tiqah HL berlakon sebagai Dang Kasum, eh salah Tiqah Bling-bling. Jangan marah, musim Puasa ni, inda baik! Next time, I will post up our dialogues and my dear blog readers you shall have a good laugh, since the whole class laughed at our 'drama'! Another was the game of guessing 'how many deaths due to diseases in Brunei', while presenting on Health & Medicine. 1 student commented in the assessment sheet, 'Its ironic how no. of deaths can become a fun game'. Our group presentation on corruption was also FUN, because of weird facts and true facts and 1 of them were really funny. A person who was convicted for corruption said "I dont know how to launder money, I only know how to do teeth cleaning'
Thats about it, since I have wrote so much and I dont think people will want to read such a long post, so I will continue in my next posting on Saturday after I got my results.
Terima Kasih, Kamsanida, Kap kun ka for reading this post on PreU memories. Signing off!
P.S. Space policeman is a weird song! Go to Kaohshiung is also a weird song, oh yes there is a Love River/Ai He (nama sebenar) there!
Raya Kedua, I got a doa selamat to attend as my best friend is flying to UK after Raya, so sad I couldnt go UK. Haha, need to buy cara Melayu, wah 1st time aku pakai cara Melayu (upholding 1Malaysia concept)
Last word of this post:Sorry kepada pemilik blog Reminscing The Times. Mizi R Kerana Aku Pakai Nama Blogmu As My Post Title!

Stories of life

Salam 1Malaysia, to all my blog readers whether you are in Brunei, Malaysia or anywhere else in the world, maybe even in other planets, since recently there is a program called 'Hello from Earth', where you can send message to aliens, perhaps if they exist. Today not going to talk much about my life, but instead will tell a story.

Qualifying results were pretty good so far, except some 'marks thrown to the drains' due to my carelessness again! Mrs Joan was pleased with her set's performance as we, the students of set 1, 2, 3 are at the top again! *drum roll, salute 2 all* As usual, she was very impressed with my essay, that I was one of the 3 students that obtained the highest mark of 40 in P1! Pressure on me, as she hopes that in Nov, I would be one of the students that got Top In The World for GP. Well lets see how it goes!

Just now, heard something exploding, thought someone was playing 'meriam buluh' in the afternoon, but nah 'just tyre punctured'. I have nothing else to say, let's start the story. Enjoy

Story of life 1
Andy was a student of a school in Bandar Kupang. He comes from a middle class family, but he had a distant uncle, named Mr A who is very rich that every year he contibutes millions of kupangs (currency in Country Kupang) to the higher-education institutions in that country. But, what he dont know is this so-called uncle of his, dont want to mengaku Andy's father side family members as his relative, because the gap between them were like Petronas Twin Tower and rumah setinggan. Even though, Andy's father mother (grandmother) was Mr A sister, he refused to mengaku them as his relative, after some incidents happened years back and also he 'pandang rendah' pada orang miskin. Once, Andy went to his uncle house during festivities, too bad his uncle and his auntie were on a cruising trip, perhaps trying to avoid 'poor relatives'. Another time, Andy's dad tried to call this Mr A because his sister had passed away but failed to contact him, maybe because he had changed his phone no. to avoid 'poor relatives' to ask for assistance. Sister had passed away also 'tak nak' pay last respect! At least pergilah. if though dont want to give any 'wang derma'. This is totally, 'putus tali persaudaraan'. Kesian, Andy family! This year, Andy is going to sit for Kupang Senior Exam (Pre U exam), and next year going to university. Andy grandfather say to Andy's dad, apply scholarship at his great grand uncle foundation, Great Mr A- Foundation. Sure dapat punya. Andy wasnt so sure about applying for it, since the scholarship is limited and competition was intense. Although, Andy was his family member, I dont think that Andy would get it if he was to only depend on 'connection' because this Mr A dont even know Andy, and the money was adminstered by a group of professionals.
The morale of the story is if you are not the same status with your relative, you will be looked down at like what Andy experienced. Unless, your relative remember that before he becomes rich, he was poor too!
That's it folks, for this posting. Before I leave, dont let the cows roam around as you may get fined, or even your cow will end up in expected place or even get it head smashed and make headlines.
Sayonara, salam 1Malaysia, Salam Perpaduan Semua Kaum, Toleransi Asas Keharmonian Kita. Selamat Berpuasa, Selamat Berhati2 Waktu Malam kerana ini bulan 7 kalendar Cina

Lesson in life

1st of all congrats to 84.58% of 1899 students who have sat 4 BGCE AS Level June 2009 & passed it, especially 2 SMSAians. 4 those who have passed with flying colours (at least 1 'a' grade) congrats also. For those who have passed with 'not-so-nice' grades, your life journey is still very far, as the aim is the peak of the mountain, continue working hard. Me? Um, let's just say I passed, no need further comments! Ok before I move on 2 another story, some interesting point 2 note about this AS exam! Accounting 2 & Biz Studies 2 marks that have to be obtained to get an 'a' grade as well as a pass is quite low.

Lesson 1:
Ah Chong, Ahmad & Muthu is going on a bus. 2 of them is going to Bandar Serai, they asked the driver is this the bus to Bandar Serai, the driver say yes. So, they board the buslah! When, the bus started to move, arrived at a junction they realised that they have boarded the bus to Bandar Kuaci. BUS SALAHLAH! They then tell the driver that, the driver felt pity for them since its musim Puasa, he drove them to Bandar Serai, their intended destination. My question is who is the bus driver and why the bus driver made the mistake or the passengers is at fault? Haiya, minta kuah dibagi gula, hmm angguk2 geleng2 LOL!
The morale of the story is 'tanya sebelum naik bas nanti naik bas salah entah ke mana'
Lesson 2:
Ah Lim, Leman & Loga is in a shop. They are going to buy some drinks for their sungkai party late in the evening. After choosing their favourite beverages, 3 of them went to the counter to pay their purchases (yelah, takkan nak dicop sebagai pencuri minuman kot!). When the cashier scanned the items, one of them realised that the price was not as stated in the price tag. He then, asked the cashier, the cashier then lari litang pukang macam dikejar pegawai to check it. A few minutes later, she returned & said 'sorry the price on the POS is correct & price tag is salah'.
The morale of the story is check your receipts, price tag & as well as look as POS, you never knew when you will be stripped of a few dollars by the shop. If the difference is a few cents dont make a fuss, just pretend nothing happened. To shopkeepers pleaselah dont put misleading price tags, later people called Jabatan Kepenggunaan baru tau!
Ok people I hope that you have learned a few tricks thru these 2 lesson in life stories. After waiting for months, finally I've got my own Uniqlo T-shirt. Its nice , next time then I will post the UT picts, Anyone want 2 b my model?
Lastly, wish MY NEGARAKU, Malaysia Selamat Merdeka Ke 52. 1 Malaysia is the theme.
1 bangsa, 1 negara, inilah Malaysiaku yg ideal
That it folks, secondary stress level have just goes down by 2rw since Qualifying is ending 2mrw while the primary stress level will still be high as A Level is just around 2 months 2 GO!
Bye, Selamat Merdeka, Selamat Berpuasa
P.S. Suddenly I remembered something that my ex tuition teacher, Miss Yong have told me back in yr 2003-2004 regarding the school where she taught, SMPAPHRSB. Somebody have been caught di belakang sekolah, for doing something! Is this true, can any1 provide me some info any ex-SMPAPHRSB?

17 Days

That is the length of time I had not been able to tell stories in this blog, as Qualifying Exam is really cracking my head over anything else. Its 17 Days! Ok stop complaining, semua orang tengah stress ni menghadapi Qualifying Exam & waiting anxiously for AS June results
For the past 17 days, so many things had occured around our surroundings, the nation as well as around the world. Someone in somewhere in the cyberspace, describe its as 'tongue-bitting, amusing'.
Qualifying Exam for me was quite unpredictable for some papers, while some I totally had no idea what I wrote in the answer scripts. Anyway starting 31st August 2009, tutors will start distributing back answer scripts. I really hope that the papers will be as patriotic as me as 31st August 2009 is Malaysia's 52 Merdeka celebration. *Tanggal 31 bulan 8 57 merdeka merdeka hari bahagia sambut dengan jiwa yg merdeka*
As of now I & a few thousands around Brunei who had sat for June 2009 O, AS & A Level is still waiting for our results. CIE had released results on August 10, and hardcopies of it are expected to arrive in Brunei in 10 days. My prediction it should be released on Monday, 24th August. Anyway, good luck to all who have sat for it. We have done our best and the 'powers above' have decided what our grades are. IT WILL BE SOON!
Happy Belated 18th Birthday To Angie IC No 9108XX-XX-XXXX, too bad you cant really celebrate it. Now you are legally allowed to drive, drink, etc. Jabatan Latihan Khidmat Negara sila cari orang ni, dan tangkap dia ke Kem PLKN di Sipitang or Kuala Sepetang. (Boh, I am a bad friend always ask for Maths help for her but say tangkap her to PLKN, SORRY YA!)
Lastly, good luck to the Perancang Bandar Brunei Pada Masa Depan dari SMSA for your participation in the Habitat Day competition. Brunei will be awaiting your masterpieces that can get Aga Khan Architecture Awards
Sebelum menutup bicara, ingin saya mengucapkan Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puasa Dalam Bulan Ramadan Al Mubarak Yg Mulia Ini Kepada Umat Islam Di Serata Dunia (terutama kepada Dr Rabbit, my dear friend) , Semoga Ibadat Anda Semua Diterima Oleh Allah.
Oh ya, lastly Hungry Ghost Month will also start soon so people dont lari2 waktu malam2 buta nanti perkara2 yg tak diingini terjadi (faham2 ajelah)
SELAMAT BERPUASA, CONTROL SIKIT ITS A HOLY MONTH

True Confessions

Nobody in this world is perfect not even a student who obtained 'perfect 10' in Maths test. We all have flaws and we learn from mistakes. This include people like me and you.
These few days, set 4 Maths had been SCOLDED repeatedly by our tutor, Miss Tor. The reason is not doing our work properly aka mainly copy. I had been praised as 'hardworking', but here all my blog readers, I wish to say that IT AINT TRUE. Thats 1 confession, I AM NOT A HARDWORKING STUDENT!
Another confession, people thinks that Im very innocent, rajin, smart, blablabla..... Didn't someone ever told you that 'Never Judge The Book By Its Cover'. Innocent looking, hmm no comments about that but Im certainly not as you think (not so innocent). Rajin maybe not, as I only try to complete the H/W of the day and nothing more usually. Smart, nah Im just lucky that I got through to Sixth Form.
Another thing, is that when Im in Secondary level, I always talk bad things about my teachers, 'di belakang mereka'. Sorry teachers
Another thing is Im also envious of whatever people have. For example, someone have iPod Touch, I dont have I really want 1, so I pester my parents to get me one, they refused. P.S. For those thinking that 'anak tunggal' get all the perks, well think again because I aint got a lot.
Ok, thats quite it of my darker side, I will try to change some of them so that I wont have the same regret again & I want to have one of the most memorable things in my life.
Bye, Happy Sunday

New Look

Helo netizens & friends, welcome 2 my blogpression, My Life My Expression. Like the new look, oh well it isn't that nice anyways. Ok, back to the main agenda, I will be grumbling, crapping instead of previously writing so many serious stuffs. So, the 1st grumble & confession will be posted in a matter of hours. Enjoy, and thanks for visiting my 2nd home.

Past Regret

A windy & cloudy, rainy SUNDAY afternoon indeed as many people were scared of the tsunami that may be caused by the eclipse. In fact, my house windows were vibrating when the strong wind blows, while for those living near the pantai, you will feel a very cold breeze from the sea, right?
Back to the title of this post, 'Past Regret'. Let's share some personal stories of my 'past regrets'. Ok, I have got past regrets on choices that I had made in the past & now its affecting me positively or negatively. (There must be positive & negative sides of something right?). I had made wrong choices for MP3 player, mobile phone, my life direction perhaps? While for some people, their past regret was about their love life. 'When you have feeling for someone, just express it otherwise if that 'someone' already been snatched by another person, then you will be disapointed. And thats a past regret. Enough of past regret, lets move 2 something else.
May I introduce you to someone now. Most of the forum post described him as 'cute & handsome', yalah siapa yg inda suka handsome & cute singers especially from Korea. Hallyu Chaoyo wave is hitting Asia rapidly, but Im not gonna talk about any Korean artist, sorry! First his biodata (courtesy of Fampar.LiveJournal.com), then his picts

Random Facts:
-He didn't like music at first, but his father made him learn music. Going against his father, he learned ballet, but encountered an injury when he was 16 years old. At that time, his father half lured and half encouraged him to try out the music world and that was how Blue J became infatuated in music.
-The whole Ji Jia Song's family emigrated to Canada in 1995, returned to Taiwan in 2001.
- He became Wilber Pan's piano teacher and simultaneously became his producer and good friend. In 2005, the two of them worked together for Wilber's "Expert" album and continued with "Around The World" and "Play It Cool"
"Spilt Water Can't Be Retrieved 2009" is actually a song his dad produced and his mom wrote in 1989
-Blue J finally released his first album in 2009!
Some of his songs that I like are "Spilt Water Can't Be Retrieved 2009". This song is inspired by a classic Taiwanese song Jeremy's musician parents co-created 20 years ago. It's 1st integration of Taiwanese and Mandarin and Chinese song RAP. A combination of different musical styles, Acoustic R & B in the end, together with story-telling Rap, also part of Pop Refrain lyric, music among the remake of the old record player difficult to recover the ground water sampling; music arranger, the guitar Acoustic R & B performance, the instruments are done a different role in the distribution of so erhu violin tremolo, also played guitar in the end when the shells of the round of the Chinese musical instrument pipa. He links on a variety of instruments.
Another is 'The Same Regret', which is also one of the song in the drama starred by Wilber Pan, his good friend as well as Rainie Yang.
Next, is 'The Last Supper', its his only English R&B song in his 1st album, Blue J. However, most of his song have some English lyrics in it. For example the 'spilt water' song got a line that I really liked is 'YES PLEASE DONT GIVE UP DONT SAY NO'

Oh, thats him by the way

Here's another pict of him from his blog (Credit: Jeremy Ji blog)
Ok, I guess we have enough of artist stories, me not good at telling entertainment thingy. Ok, lets move on to another story, about ABC
ABC is not your Ais Batu Campur, but it meant American-born Chinese. These artists are really into the spotlite recently. Some of them include Wilber Pan, Khalil Fong, etc. Most of them cant write & read in Chinese, just like me. However, Im MBC not ABC but Im still not good at Chinese. Blimey!
Last piece, before I pen off, it getting long my post. For the past 2 GP debate, I have been appointed as 'timekeeper'. But, this Tuesday, the topic is 'We Should Be Our Own Censors'. And my team is opposing it, lets see how we fare against the Goliath. Its is gonna be David Vs Goliath? We shall see
On that note, Im gonna resume with my delayed work that should be done earlier. Till, next time Dont Ever Have Any Past Regret & Make The Correct Choice! Sayonara
