A Day of Sienzness and more days to come

In the movie Great Day, there is a line 'Whether rain or shine, everyday will still be a great day' And today I try to live by that principle.
I send my laptop for upgrading after getting fedup of failing to do it myself lots of times. At first, the computer shop people tell me ok 1hr siap! But 2h which is after my lunch & a walk round Pyramid I go and check 'still installing'! So being 'so called rajin', I revised for my Malay exam on Monday morning (Im not supposed to take this but the inefficient Malaysia govt department especially MQA, makes my life miserable, what is so difficult about verifying the papers, signing it & printing and faxing it! Saya yang menurut perintah keluar bercuti ke? Excuse me mana 1Malaysia Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan? This is 1Malaysia Rakyat Disusahkan, Pencapaian Diperlahankan!) (if any govt officers read this please pass the message to MQA!).
Sorry I gone overboard to another issue! I revised at first at the many benches, but then there is no 'feel', hence I went to Starbucks and order a green tea latte and sat there for a while to revise. A change of environment from my usual bedroom or monash 2nd floor library. Yeah its a bit noisy but still ok!
While there, check Facebook & found out MYFM Cruisers were at Pyramid. So went there to see if I got any luck to win the prizes. Apparently, lady luck is with me today as I won a CNY CD after playing a game of match the number with your IC number and rock paper scissors. In addition, I also got a can of Revive and also something for my breakfast tomorrow, Gardenia Fluffy bun haha save me 80sen!
After that I went to Popular to look at magazines, then I wanted to check whether my laptop siap already or not. Near the e Centre, I saw many people and Onefm logo (I actually saw this logo hours ago when I pass by but didnt know for what). Apparently, Onefm is giving away prizes including cash (angpau). And Jane onefm DJ is dressed in a bunny costume. Apparently because she lost in the Onefm Morning Kaki 9am segment Guy Vs Girls! And people were queing up to play rock paper scissors again, so I joined to queue also but apparently 1st time que I lost, but 2nd time lady luck is with me I won, got a RM$10 angpau from Onefm. My 1st angpau for the lunar new year of rabbit! After that there was a round of Q&As with prizes, and lastly the RM188 angpau lucky draw. Dont ask me for belanja coz I didnt win this! Really bah, you can check my wallet, LOL! And there was a picture taking session so I take picture with Jane and also her partner in Morning Kaki, Jack.
After that, went to get my laptop. The guy said he didnt manage to install it! Oh well, time to upgrade to 7 I guess!
What a day, 6hours spend doing nothing lepaking at Pyramid. However, I did earn a CD & RM10, the price NOT ABLE TO STUDY! Very sienzlah nothing is done!
And to add salt to the wound, this sienzness will continue till the day I return to Brunei for CNY holiday. Exam for MNS starts on Monday OMG! After exam MNS, there is no break for me because after CNY is Summer Sem Exam. After the torturous Summer Sem, now comes the chamber of Torture where you will be tortured further haha!
However, on Friday I shall take some time off from my revision to visit Karnival Karangkraf where I can buy my fave Remaja, Klik at much lower price with freebies! And also get my mum her fav mags at much lowered price too! You might wonder weird eh Chinese read Malay magazines, eh we are 1Malaysia, LOL!
Alrite, time to close up this posting. The next posting will be done in Brunei at the comfort of my home!
Have A Great Weekend & See Ya In A wk! Life to be enjoyed & cherished

Review:Room 18 is better than last time & Great Day is indeed great

Well hello there, guess what today Im super hyper, why? Because I went to 2 malls in 1 day! Usually I went to only 1 mall in a day but today I think Im overexcited hence visited 2 malls. I went to Mid Valley as well as 1Utama. At Mid Valley, as usual went to my favourite department store Robinsons to check out my fav brands from Korea, Basic House & The Class. Unfortunately, there are not much new arrivals and also the new arrivals are Winter clothes. You dont expect me to wear a jacket on a hot 1st day of CNY right? I also went into a few shops in The Gardens, but got shocked by the price tag (well I still can afford it but its kinda too much LOL!). For example, Banana Republic shirt RM209! Hence, to cut the long story short I dare not to enter any other shops such as AIX. I went to Isetan well the brands they sell are ....... not my taste!
In 1Utama, I went inside Zara and again shocked by the price tag! Luckily, Zara will hold their warehouse sale I guess soon.Well, thats about it for the opening, the stories of me frantically went to 2 malls and got nothing, LOL! Now, the 2 main course, enjoy it!
Food Review: Room18 gets better
Remember, few weeks back I blog about my experience at Room18 and how slow the service is! Well guess what, today as I went to Mid Valley again, I went for my lunch there again! My order same like last time, with the addition of char siew chee cheong fun (RM8.80++). This time around the food arrive in 15min, which is half of the 30min taken last time!
My comment on the chee cheong fun, I like the fact that they have 1 stalk of vegie with it, and the soya sauce is separate. This is good for people who dont want to eat salty food. However, the chee cheong fun is a bit sticky and not really smooth. Tai Thong can do better than this.
Lets comment a bit on the pricing of Room18. Well its pricey but once in a blue moon have a great meal its ok wat. As I just have a very stressful week trying to figure out how to do my Management report, I deserve to be rewarded! However, I think the venison meal that I had is reasonably priced at RM12.80++, since venison meat is quite rare, few restaurants I went and looked at the menu but NON!
Movie Review: Great Day is indeed great
Since its almost CNY, its time to get into CNY mood! Hence, I went to watch Great Day, a Malaysian CNY production at GSC 1Utama. GSC ticket prices of RM11 are cheaper than TGV RM14 for public holidays/weekend. Even the popcorn set is cheaper a large popcorn and 2 regular drink costs less than RM10 while that of TGV more than RM11. The bad thing about GSC is there is a lot of ads before the movie starts, so much of GSC being the no.1 cinema in Malaysia, LOL! And by buying a popcorn set, I got very nice angpau packets. Never mind its promo material, at least its nice, LOL!
Right about the movie, too commercial related eg promoting Astro, Da Ma Cai (at least they dont promote Maxis, LOL!). Never mind about Eu Yan Sang, Spritzer and Nippon Paint as its the movie sponsor. The movie make me laugh and at time I almost cried! This movie teaches you about filial piety.
And I notice that there are some subtitle errors, dia datang is written as dia dating. Do you know  how far the difference of the meaning is? Again while at a RapidKL bus, I saw Great Day ads, I says on cinema from 13 January 2010? Huh? Astro can do better than this!
Now onto some of the quotes from the movie that I like 'No matter rain or shine, everyday is still a great day'.
Is it worth you money? Well, if you got the cheapest tickets it certainly does, LOL! Oh by the way most of the screen timings are FULL HOUSE! I wonder if people go to watch (include me) because of support Malaysian production or its really good? For me, I watch because I am too tired of watching English movies already and also of course support Malaysian production.
Coincidentally, after the movie there is a meet n greet session at 7.30pm. Present were the director Chiu, some of the actors & actress Royce, Vivian and Wan Wai Fun. As well as the singers of the theme song Rainbow house, Fyone and Stephanie. I got a postcard by answering a question, and the postcard was autographed by the 4 persons, as well as I also got my ticket autographed. Its really priceless!
Right I shall end here, my brain juice is drained thinking about my Management report for the whole week.
No more assignments to worry for me, but there are still a few classes to attend as well as compulsory subjects exam to be taken.
Tomorrow I am going shopping or look look again nearby Sunway Pyramid, Empire and Subang Parade. Let see if I can buy something and get the Sunway Pyramid very nice angpau.

Sekian terima kasih & selamat berhujung minggu

Kalaidescope:2010 Tales from Me

Well what do you know, we bid farewell to 2010 few hours ago, now we are in 2011. Brand new year, and brand new decade, of course these comes with new challenges to be faced and new possibilities to be explored.
My 2011 resolution is to erase from the minds of people that I am a 'cold' attitude person, and if erasing is not possible then I wanted to change people's perception of me. Another resolution is to keep up this resolution till the end of 2011. However, 2011 was a rocky start for me as I got sick on the 1st day of the new month, new year and new decade. Now, this will give me an idea of what lies ahead for me for the next 364 days and beyond. Enough of crapping and I have got lots of complaints that my posting were too long, hence for this posting I will keep it as short as possible.
Education: Passed my A Levels with 2A 2B. This is rather good result for the average student but bizzare for a good student. After a series of appeals and disappointment, finally I was admitted into the August 2010 intake for Monash Malaysia Bachelor of Business & Commerce
Financial: Lots quite a bit in organising the Prom Nite, of which we depended on the Facebook for selling & promoting our event. However, this lost was partly compensated when I got the BLNG Achiever Award which includes a cash prize of $400. At KL, I got my very own Visa Debit card,  but its not a license for me to simply swipe it although sometimes I did do that, hehe
Travel: 1st time in my life I went onto a cruise. And tried my hand at game of chance hehe, won quite a bit but in the end lost back. As people say the house always wins! Locally, I have travelled to many parts of KL/Selangor e.g. Mid Valley, 1Utama, Bukit Bintang, Petaling Jaya, KLCC, i-city and of course not forgetting Bandar Sunway
Life Skills: Got my L license after failing written test once, now Im currently learning how to drive with Cikgu Kamal of Metro. He is a patient man but at the pace that Im learning I guess it will take ages for me to get my P lesen. On another lighter note, in my previous postings I had stated that I have tasted alcohol for the 1st time in my life during the Xmas Eve party. Its better to learn how to drink now, rather than 'throw faces' in front of the big taukes, in business dealings in the future, LOL!
Entertainment; Had quite a bit of entertainment in 2010. For instance watching live from Arena of Stars, PWH Music Awards and just recently ntv7 Star Live Concert in Bukit Jalil. And in 2010, I watched quite a lot of movies and for your info I last went to cinema, like 13 years ago! This year I have watched Meet The Parents, Skyline and another was a horror movie, forget the title to 'cure' my depriveness of cinema LOL!
Tech Matters: In KL I have experienced the service of a few ISPs. They were Sunway Digital Wave (slow but free), DiGi Turbo 3G/DiGi Broadband (fast at certain times), Maxis Broadband (poor), Monash internet (very fast), and just recently I said YES to YES4G (very fast at certain times, constant in most of the times and peak time slow). As a student, I need to bargain hunt for the cheapest & most reliable internet connection, hence these I have used so many ISP services to test em
Human Relations: It was rather good, but it started quite shaky as most of the times I gotta do things alone (eating, travelling, etc). When, I started to join them in their Movie/Dinner nites, feel that I was being accepted to their groups. Yeah although, there were 'bad' influences from some of them, it was rather mild aha, but some of them were bringing good influences. Well from the current stage, i would say Im a company rather than friend to them, but if they think otherwise is good to know that.
I guess thats about it for my 2010 tales, by the way before I ended this posting.Let me tell you what I did during New Yr eve briefly.
Went to have dinner with Ben, Michelle, Sally, Elaine (ok there is 3 Elaine in our batch of students, this is Elaine from sabah) & Jen Yang at BBQ Plaza. Bumped in to JX, someone JX loves, Elaine (see more confusion, this is Elaine from Brunei), Shu Wern, Andrea & another guy. Pyramid was pretty small huh for us to bumped into a few of our coursemates in a nite, just like back home in Seria (starting to miss home syndrome). After dinner, we went to TGI Friday for card game till midnite & had countdown there, Quang joined us here for the games. And when, we wanted to exit the carpark it took us more than 1hr as there were a series of 'queue-cutting'. Those in Jen Yang car were speculating how long we will exit the carpark, as the car was parked on the Rooftop and its quite a few floors to exit it. Well, fortunately after some deadlocks, it was smooth and we reached Sun U at 2.15am

Well thats about it for 2010, as 2011 opens there was already a lot of planning for after exam activities such as the whole class go clubbing at MOS, while another suggested to have the famous Sate Haji Samuri in Kajang. I say since its CNY still after exam, maybe we can have a big Reunion Dinner
