My 7-11 Holiday

11days, 2 Special Administrative Region,1 China,6 hotels, this is the story of my holiday in Hongkong,Macau & China starting 27Nov til 7Dec.Thus known as 7-11 Holiday!
27Nov
1st time onboard Royal Brunei 'new' 777, leased from Singapore Airlines. One of the flight attendant onboard the flight was my ex-classmate from SMSA, Khairul Azri. The food, crew & Skyshow was ok.However a bit disappointed that the seats are ex SIA & RBA didnt retrofitted it with its signature yellow seats.Flight time was just 2h 30min,and arrived on time at Hongkong.

Nice view of Hongkong upon descend, and only to be greeted with a very very long queue at the immigration checkpoint, took more than 1hr to clear,no thanks to the flight arriving the same time with a few other flights! Baggage was already out quite a while, after we cleared immigration. After that proceed to Airport Express counter to buy ticket for train to city,HK$190 for 3 tickets (special promo), takes only around 20min! Oh yeah, the train have free wifi but its epic FAIL!
Arrived at Kowloon station conveniently located below International Commerce Centre & was ferried to the hotel,Holiday Inn Golden Mile by the free shuttle bus.The hotel was conveniently located at Nathan Road, many shops around! After checkin, time for a little 'walk'!

Since I read in Basic House website, they have a branch at Miramar Shopping Centre, walked there.Find the whole mall for it but NON! Instead, shopped at MUJI for refillable inks haha! LOL! Dinner was at a dai pai tong (or a small cafe/restaurant if you like to call it).Price was around HK$30(RM$12 or B$5), however portions are huge! After dinner, went to buy a prepaid card for surfing as I cant live without my internet haha! Costs $98 with $98 value, and charges is $2/mb with maximum charge of $28/day.

After resting for a while, went to Granville Road for some 'rejected clothes' shopping! On the way, stop by at a few phone shops to check out the phone price. It seems at big stores like Fortress prices are clearly shown but its expensive, even more expensive than prices here. However in smaller shops you can bargain, but those shopkeepers dont like it if you say 'JUST WANT TO SEE', have to say 'WANT TO BUY', eventhough you dont want to buy! For example, in a small shop Samsung Galaxy Ace was $1500 after discount
Also stopped by at Sasa, which I would highly recommend if you want to get perfumes or cosmetics products at a much lower price! Bought a few mini perfumes, then walked down to Granville Road!Bought a T-shirt that costs $70 & at a recommendation of a friend tried Hongkong Gongcha, I must say the cup size is bigger than Malaysia but cheaper than Malaysia!

28Nov
Went for my 'morning walk' aka get free newspaper & buy newspaper! HK free newspaper market is very vibrant with about 4-5 Chinese newspapers being distributed at MTR stations, and also the only FREE English newspaper in HK, The Standard, and in some areas China Daily HK edition is also given out! Of course, I also bought a $8 'redesigned' SCMP, one of Asia most well known English paper

Breakfast again was at dai pai tong, ate some dim sum, wantan mee & porridge! After breakfast, ready to depart to Macau! Ferry terminal was at China Ferry Terminal which is adjoined to China HK City, which got a lot of outlet stores like Esprit Outlet. Ferry was at 12pm & ticket costs $150 for a 1hr trip on board Cotaijet to Taipa. This is the nearest place to Cotai where all the nice 'IR' or if you like to call it casinos are located hehe! Before departure, went for some shopping at Esprit Outlet, bought a T for $129 UP $259!
Macau immigration again the line was long but it move smoothly! Oh yes, the ferry terminal was next to Macau Airport. And in Macau you can see a lot of signboards/building names in Portugese, which makes Macau unique!

In Macau, you do not have to worry much about transportation as those IRs provide shuttle bus to the city, airport, ferry terminal, border, etc etc. For 1st night in Macau, stayed at Venetian Macao Resort in a Bella Suite! Very big room,2 TV(1 colour,1 LCD),very luxurious indeed! Went for lunch downtown Macau which is a mere 20min by shuttle bus! Wanted to eat local Macau food but ended up eating some charsiew rice in a 'Water Cube like' casino named Oceanus. As usual portions was HUGE! After lunch went to Macau Tower or Torre de Macau.Ticket was $120 to go up the tower! Oh yeah HK dollar & Macau pataca is par just like B$ & S$. Can see the view of Macau from level 58 observation deck, but went up higher to level 61 where all the 'fun' is.Why stay on the edge when you can jump, WELCOME TO AJ HACKETT MACAU! Guiness Record certified World Highest Commercial Bungee Jump. They provide a X Walk, which lets you to walk outside (if inda takut),bungee jump & a slow drop

After all the photo snap, went to City of Dreams as my dad wanted to watch House of Dancing Water, a world famous $2b production.Unfortunately all the tickets was sold out.So took pictures around City of Dreams, including pictures of all the beautiful ladies standing here & there welcoming you for photo & also with a 'mermaid', in a virtual aquarium named Vquarium! Dinner was at Taste of Asia foodcourt Galaxy Macau, another IR/casino. Took pictures of Gingerbreadman Xmas deco(I miss my Gingerbread android htc phone), and also the colourful 'lucky crystal'. After that return to Venetian, for the gondola ride at Grand Canal Shoppes.A boat ride inside a manmade canal modeled after Venice cost $118, but I think its worth it with the gondolier sing for you, joke with you,get to know you better, etc! Oh yeah, did I also mention that in Venetian everyday is a blue sky day no rain haha (painting do the trick). May I suggest those that are dating to bring your partner here, as its a romantic place, on the day I went on the ride, a guy proposed to his girlfriend,in the gondola!

29Nov
Went to Venetian casino, only to end up having no luck & 'the flying lion' gracefully telan few hundred HKD!After delivering the bags to the concierge of the hotel (we are changing hotel),Hard Rock Hotel City of Dreams,we are off to the citycentre for some sightseeing on the IR shuttle bus. Before that, had breakfast at City of Dreams foodcourt, similar portions huge pricing almost similar everywhere!1st stop in sightseeing is Ruins of St Paul, however we got lost on the way there.Seeing 'clueless tourist look', the policeman approached us & we told him we wanted to go the Ruins. He then gave the directions. After Ruins, its some local product shopping aka Macau famous almond biscuits, eggrolls, etc! Then passby Senado Square & went for some 'window shopping' at New Yaohan before returning for hotel checkin

This time around the room was huge too, a Corner Suite.Interestingly tempat mandi di 1 side, cubicle in another side haha.Even better this room got 2 LG LCD TV!No need to rebut TV with my dad haha! After some rest, went to watch another show of COD,Dragon Treasure of which we as hotel guests get to redeem free tickets worth $30 each. This show was a 3D show,I would encourage you to watch it,after all its only $30!At night went to COD casino & my dad was lucky to win back monies telan by 'flying lion'. I guess the Dragon Treasure show about unleashing your fortune really helps haha

30Nov
Breakfast was at McD as foodcourt havent open yet. McD here is quite pricey as they dont have McValue breakfast like here.Today crossed the border to China(Zhuhai). Nearly got 'conned' I guess while going to Guangzhou, but after a while managed to find the 'correct channel' to Guangzhou aka CTS bus.The bus ride took about 2hr.Reached Guangzhou, only to end up with a taxi driver who said 'yes yes i know' & brought us to the wrong hotel with the same brand! LOL! Oh yes,1 interesting thing is China taxi driver dont help you to place your luggage in the car boot!He brought us to Holiday Inn Guangzhou City Centre instead of the correct Holiday Inn Guangzhou Shifu! Next time if you come to China write your destination name in Chinese!

This hotel is unique as the lobby is on the 4th floor & what is nice is this hotel is located near Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Shopping District. 1 unique feature of this street,is every few shops you will see the same brand shop again! Lunch is at KFC.KFC here is different from those here, as they sell other different items not available here like chicken wings & also rice with mushroom sauce chicken to name a few. Entered a Yishion (similar to Esprit) store only to look but end up buying a $139(rm$70/B$24) T-shirt under the range Yishion Teebox.Got a free cube calendar as free gift!Oh yeah mind you China was freeaking COLD!

1Dec
Today is a disaster as our Chinese yuan are running low & went to a few banks to ask about exchanging our RM/S$ but many of them said sorry USD ONLY! Finally found Bank of China that can exchange S$.After that, proceed to Chimelong Resort. Its something like A Famosa Resort Malacca with its hotel, circus, zoo & amusement park! Went to the Xiangjiang Safari Park, entrance was Y$180 (Rm$90/S$36).The main attraction was white tiger,Australia natives such as koala & kangaroo & as well as 'China treasure', panda! There was also a few animals shows such as African animals, tiger show, parrot talking(apparently the parrot wasnt in a mood to talk right that day) & bear playing basketball. Lunch was pretty affordable considering the portion of chicken & udon noodle was huge at a price of Y$38(about B$6), with a small cup of orange drink.

After the zoo, went to Canton Tower. The tallest building in Guangzhou completed last year, just in time for Asian Games.A few category of ticket with the cheapest Y$50 & most expensive Y$150, and the price depends on how high up you want to go.We only went up till 162m! After the tower, went back to the hotel.I quickly went to buy a pair of shoes as my shoes tapak had already fallen apart. 1st stop, went to Yishion & saw a nice one at Y$168. At first, didnt want to buy coz it was a bit overpriced, but mum said just buy. This end up to be a wrong decision as got an 'earful' from my dad!

Last night in Guangzhou, dinner was in a famous restaurant that was advertised in the tourist guidemap! Next day, went to Shenzhen, the famous 'shopping heaven' city for Malaysians & Bruneians alike

2Dec
Travelled to Shenzhen via train, only takes 1hr in a train that travels at 160 km/h (Luckily not steam train haha). Costs y$100 for a 1st class ticket (woot), actually I think there are cheaper tickets but they want to earn more tourists money(passport required). Depart from Guangzhou around 11.20, and reached Shenzhen Luohu around 12.30. Arrived there to find another 'deadlock', asked a few taxi driver to drive us to the hotel but most of them dont know. Finally, I got help from a Ctrip staff to write the hotel name in Chinese! Finally they knew it LOL!

Our hotel was in Nanshan district, near some technological science park! The hotel was Holiday Inn Shenzhen Donghua, this time around my dad booked a Executive Suite yo! Priced at Y$833++ (about S$165++). Since its too early to check-in,went for lunch nearby. After lunch, its time to checkin.Oh yeah, another thing about hotel workers in China they all have English names like Chris,Daniel, etc etc. The room was a bit small for a suite, but there is free wired internet, free certain minibar items like juice, coke,China beer, water, nuts,Snickers, free laundry, free breakfast, free newspaper daily, etc!Worth the extra $$$ paid for extra perks! I did knew that Facebook & Twitter dont work in China, but using this hotel connection it did work!

After some rest, went out again nearby to Haiya Dept Store!Again I saw Basic house, but LADIES!Oh yeah, I even saw a brand named Harry Potter!Argh!Saw on the hotel guidebook there is a JUSCO nearby, but cant find it after walking for some time till saw some weird dark lights from some kind of tunnel.Walked to there & smack JUSCO was there! Had dinner at Coastal City shopping complex there & went into Uniqlo! Oh yeah for your info, that weird 'tunnel' was Shenzhen Bay Boulevard. Bought some bread for breakfast at Breadtalk, pricing similar to Singapore! Oh yeah went also to a big electronics to check out the phone price.1 word NO CHEAP! And interestingly, HTC phones there are sold not as Desire S,Chacha etc but their codes like A123 something! Even more interesting, there are Sharp phones, not cheap but wonder why they arent any around here!

 3Dec
Travelled by Shenzhen Metro to Window of the World. This is a place where there are mini scale figures of famous places like Eiffel Tower,Egypt Pyramid, etc. There are also various reasonably priced rides such as Colorado Springs boatride, etc etc! This time around wanted to go OCT East but its simply too far & we dont have time for it, SO SAVE IT FOR NEXT TIME. At night, since we would be going back to Hongkong tomorrow, went shopping at JUSCO for some unique snacks

4Dec
Travelled to Hongkong in a private car, around RMB200/person(B$40), crossed the Shenzhen Bay border. Arrived at Hongkong Airport(wait belum mau balik lagi), and travelled by taxi to Hongkong Disneyland! Again its TOO EARLY to check in!

Travelled by very colourful (Mickey & Friends, toystory painted) shuttle bus to Disneyland Public transport interchange where the bus and MTR station of Disneyland Resort are located. The MTR station was modeled as an ancient train station.Disneyland Resort line is served by its specially designed MTR trains with Mickey,Donald, etc figurines in the train, specially designed Mickey ears handrails, sofas, etc. And the announcement in the train are also special, Have A Magical Day! Oh I almost forgot to tell you about our destination, Citygate Outlets.

Citygate Outlets is like China HK city that I went before just its bigger with more brand outlet shops such as Calvin klein,DKNY,etc. Lunch was in Food Republic, a foodcourt there. Dinner was also here as food in Disneyland was far too expensive. Nearby, there is another attraction, Ngong Ping 360 (Big Buddha). To get up there, you either take a cable car or bus! If you want to take the cable car I suggest that you buy in advance, so that you dont queue like us for a long time til a bus company people came and said 'Its better to use bus rather than queue up for ages'. Its a 40min ride by bus or 25min by cable car(not inclusive of queue time, LOL!). The climb to Big Buddha was a very tiring climb, but my dad said that the stairs are less than Batu Caves!

It was at here that I checked my Facebook and saw someone posting about their results.Anxiously, went to check my results and was kinda surprised that I did pretty well.On the other hand, some people were in a distress mode over their result! Before going downhill, had taufa made from spring water that makes it special & at only $10 a bowl (around $1.7) its worth trying

Return back to Holloywood Hotel Disneyland for checkin. The room was pretty basic! Again no free inroom internet, however there is free wireless at the lobby which I used to chat with my friends about their results. The best thing about the room, you can take everything when you check out (except TV,phone, towel, fridge, safe deposit box, mattress, etc) including the very nice Toystory room card! Oh yeah, the elevator in the hotel can 'speak', you can hear Mickey & Minnie sound & laughter!

5Dec
This is the most exciting day as Im going into Hongkong Disneyland! Mickey here I come! The latest attraction is Toystory Land, where I went for the parachute ride.Wanted to go for the 'dog chase its tail ride',but after another thot maybe not nanti pening over!Went for 2 shows like Mickey Orchestra as well as Space Control Centre to have fun with Experiment 626 aka Stitch.Went to Tomorrowland to ride electric car in the highway of the future, and last but not least ride the jungle boatride where you can see 'angry daddy elephant spray water into the boat', 'fire', 'sudden waterfall'.Oh yeah n visited Tarzan Treehouse & went for the Small Beautiful World boatride. Food & drink in Disneyland was rather expensive, and not to mention the souvenirs too! I am 20 years old and this is the 1st time I stepped my foot in Disneyland, while some kids are lucky only few years old can already proclaim I HAVE BEEN TO MICKEY HOUSE! The highlight of the day was the 3.30pm parade!I almost forget we also went for the Main Street Railroad train ride

After watching the parade,we make our move on MTR to downtown Hongkong. Stayed at InterContinental Grand Stanford, another IHG group hotels. Got upgraded to a nicer room, but again no free internet, who cares when you have a 3 Prepaid card to surf. (Ran out of credit, search frantically for a topup coupon). Very elegant room, greeted with chocolates on the bed! Dinner was at Cafe De Coral, one of the cafe promoted in our tourist pamphlets.

6Dec
Today is a PRETTY LONG DAY! 1st stop, breakfast at SOGO foodcourt. Next up,went to the nearby Avenue of Stars which is pretty much like Holloywood Walk of Fame with the handprints of artists. Then, went to CTS to buy discounted The Peak tickets. Then, off we go on the MTR by buying a 1day Tourist Pass that cost $55 which proves to be a wrong choice as we didnt travel as much as expected!

The Peak is on the other side aka Hongkong Island. To reach the tram station from the nearest MTR, its quite a uphill walk to its Lower Garden Tram Terminus. Uphill on The Peak, there is a building The Peak Centre which is like sort of a mall & at its highest point there is a Sky Terrace where you can have a good view of Hongkong assuming that the fog/pollution is not that bad! Oh yeah, there is also a heart shaped structure where you can openly proclaim your love to your 'other half' Also in The Peak was Madam Tussad Hongkong, where you can meet Jay Chou, the hot Robert Pattinson the vampire,President Obama but 'in figurine form'. Lunch was at Hongkong Day a cafe in there, got special privileges aka my cup of milk tea was free & I must say the cup is very nice, wanted to 'kidnap' it back (joking). After that bought some souvenirs at 'wholesale price'

After The Peak, next stop is the Golden Bauhinia Square in wanchai aka Hongkong Exhibition Centre. From the picture, it look so big but its so small in real haha! Next stop,a shopper paradise Causeway Bay! Times Square had a very nice Barbie inspired Xmas deco! Times Square OMg! Its a very very high mall as in ada banyak tingkat, and so it have express escalators that 'jumped floor'. Went to Page 1 in Level 9(yikes, but I used lift) & bought a copy of Reader Digest, after conversion was around $6 only. Next stop, went for some 'look' at SOGO Hennessy Road before going for dinner in MX Maxims.

Last item for the night was to watch the Symphony of Lights which is held every night where about 40 building in both sides of Hongkong will 'perform' aka flash its colourful lights/rays. After watching the show, went to the nearby Sasa to buy Chris's perfume. Strongly suggest you all visit Sasa for cheaper perfumes & cosmetics that in Malaysia or HK department store.

7Dec
Time to balik Brunei! Last minute shopping at Hongkong Airport & price were same like downtown! Bought some cakes & biscuits from Kee Wah Bakery, a famous bakery in Hongkong

That's it folks sorry no pictures! Sorry if you find it too boring

Promises

'I promise I will be responsible', 'I promise I wont love anyone other than you', yada yada so much more quotes on promise, Yet, 'PROMISES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN'!
Well, some people are very good at keeping promises, while some people are very pro in breaking promises. However, sometimes promise are broken due to unexpected situation that arises or that person is suffering from TEMPORARY AMNESIA.
Of course, promise can be made but dont simply make promise the way 'you change your clothes' if you cant honour it. If you make a promise & didnt honour it, the person that you made the promise to will be disappointed, heartbroken and it could be the start of a 'DISASTER' that could turn into a 'TYPHOON'(if you know what I mean) if not managed properly.
On that note, Dont simply make promises, someone could get hurt physically or psychologically in the process!

Its Been A Long Time

Those years, those months (Na Xie Nian, na xie yue).Helo there fellow readers, a lot of things had happened for the past 3 months +
Remembering those month was painful, thinking about it was even heartache,to rethink how it happen I really cant imagine how it did happen. This opportunity cost was TOO  HIGH. However, slowly I learnt the reality of this cruel world that when someone found something of a very very high value like a smartphone, there are very low or practically no chance they will return it! From using a Nokia 6120, I upgraded  to a HTC Desire S smartphone & enjoyed it till the day it LOST it n downgraded to a el cheapo phone Nokia 1280! I have no idea when Im getting another smartphone unless some lucky money comes my way
Lets change the subject to Education.Well exam ended on 14th.Overall, out of 4 paper I can only bank for 1 paper aka FM to create a HD,I can only bank for a C/D for costinfo n company reporting n lastly the most disastrous waS Commbank only a P i hope
Lastly to end this post, I am still banking on IF THE OLD DONT GO, THE NEW BETTER ONES WONT COME
I shall end this post wiith a little words: Nan Ren Bu Huai Nue Ren Bu Ai(If Guys Are Not Bad,Girls Wont Like). But how huai nan ren should be?
More posting coming up, Till Then Later dAYS & Enjoy your holidays folks

Its Been A While

As I had said in my Cbox, I wont be posting as regular as previously. This is because now Im yr 2 uni student, and in other words lots of things to do.
Let Me start by wishing Muslims Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir & Batin.
Walaupun Raya, ingatlah Raya adalalh merayakan kemenangan setelah menahan hawa nafsu selama 1 bulan. Jangan makan terlalu banyak tapak kuda walaupun ia sedap, LOL!
Next, Tanggal 31 bulan 8 57, negARA kita merdeka! Happy 54th Merdeka to Federation of Tanah Melayu. Please do not rock the boat of stability and our unity which have been inherited by us from our previous generation. We must berikrar to preserve it since it is a very expensive gift even more expensive than that $24 million dollar ring!
We have been independent for more than 54 year already but some people especially politicians and someone who claims themselves as new media team of a certain party, still thinks the world is only their small box. They need to open up their minds to be more liberal and stop the old politicking way of the 50s
Akhir kata, Walaupun Enjoy, Ingatlah Ada orang yang masih kekurangan & jangan tamak.orang tamak selalu rugi, this goes to those corrupt people

Count your Blessing

Every year around this time of the year,Bruneians will rejoice over 2 things, Perayaan and Sotong Tutuk. That's the side dish but the main dish is the 15th July celebration of His Majesty the Sultan & Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei birthday, where the rakyat and the residents of Brunei will have a chance to see the caring monarch up close and personal in the Bersama Rakyat event held in the 4 districts. This is also a uniqueness of Brunei which attracts a lot of foreign tourists to Brunei.
Before I continue on further, may I re-emphasize that this is NOT a PROPAGANDA posting. Its from my true heart and soul.
Brunei is blessed to have such a caring monarch and 2 days ago, His Majesty the Sultan had consented to present keys to 650 recipients of the Kg Panaga BEDB 1st pilot housing project of 2000 houses in 2yr, which was built by Bina Puri,a well known Malaysia contractor. For your information, the waiting list for government housing scheme is very very very long, and with this pilot project by BEDB it has paved way for more mass housing project of 4000 houses in 4yr which was awarded to UEM Builders, another Malaysian company and also another 500 houses project awarded to a Singapore firm,TEE International. This shows that the government of His Majesty is willing to explore new possibilities so that each and every of its rakyat is able to have a place to call their own 'Home Sweet Home'.
After the awarding of house keys, His Majesty visited more than 20 houses instead of the initially planned 4.Despite the tight schedule, His Majesty also visited my Pre-U centre, Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali. I am thankful that even though I am not a Bruneian and only a 'penumpang sementara', I got to enjoy all the perks (well not really all). There must be some distictions between Yellow/Purple and also Green right? I do not enjoy the Transport Allowance but I am thankful that 'book loan' is given to all students. If I were to buy the books, I think it will run to the tune of $500, and with Maths only having 12books,its going to be a heavy bill.
The equal sharing of wealth from the natural resources of oil & gas that Brunei is blessed with also allows us the residents of Brunei to enjoy low fuel price in the time of cutback in subsidies in other countries. That is a very very heavy bill to bear even though Brunei is a small country, and also an oil producing country.
There are many more that I can list, but I will let the Press to do all the work in their special supplement on 15 July.
Lastly, we might think that what we have in hand is not enough as greed is part of us.However, remember that there are people out there who have less than what we have. There might be difficult times where we will have to make a choice.Make the correct choice so that you wont have to regret over the decision that you make. Count your blessings and be thankful.

DIRGAHAYU DAULAT KEBAWAH DULI TUAN PATIK, SELAMAT MENYAMBUT HARI KEPUTERAAN KE 65

Musical Post

Dont get me wrong,I am not going to sing or neither you are going so dont worry that there will be a Simon Cowell to judge your singing performance. Instead in this posting I shall blog about how some artists came to Malaysia frequently and also introduce to you some of my favourite singers/bands.My musical taste might not be really mainstream.
Malaysia:The Goldmine
You know B2ST/BEAST? Of course you do, its one of the hottest Korea's group in town and had just performed over the weekend in Malaysia as well as Singapore. To add on,some parties are trying hard to bring B2ST to Brunei, which means B2ST will be the 1st Kpop group to perform in Brunei (if they managed to bring B2sT here that is) after U-Kiss which was supposed to have their fanmeet in May postponed it for whatsoever reasons that wasnt disclosed. And B2ST had just released their new album 'Fiction and Fact'. For a little recap,B2St had been coming/will be coming to Malaysia for quite a lot of times this year only, 1st in early January for the DiGi Live Kpop concert, 2nd was the last Saturday B2sT Asia fanmeet tour held at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach of which one of my coursemate became their translator/interpreter, and the 3rd will be the upcoming MTV World Stage which was set to be held at i-city,which was a much debated location.
Alongside with B2St that came to Malaysia in early Jan, 2AM was also a regular to Malaysia having came to Malaysia for 2 times only this year. The 2nd time was a very special reward that DiGi gives to its subscribers, having achieved the 150,000 likes in their Facebook page, and guess what its FREE. For 1hr showcase! Only need to topup $50 and register for Digi music plus.
Broadcasters have also capitalised on this Hallyu Wave by providing more Korean contents especially with the recent addition of tvN HD on the Unifi IPTV platform.Across the causeway in Singapore, the upcoming KMTV in addition to Arirang TV, KBS World,tvN Asia,ONE & ONE HD will bring Hallyu Wave to even more greater heights. It is also hoped that Hallyu Wave will also sweeps Brunei with their offering of hot performances and hopefully the 1st ever Kpop artist showcase/fan meet or even a full concert in Brunei!
Hallyu Wave is indeed sweeping Malaysia, the rest of Asia and many other countries in the world with the Aegyoness of the artists, the powerful dance moves and the looks.Oppa! LOL! And not to mention lots of $$$$ going into JYP,SM,Cube,J Tunes, etc agencies of these artists
My Music,My Choice
Each of us have our own music preference, some like Kpop, some Cpop, some Indopop, some Jpop, etc, etc. For me, I like Kpop and Cpop, and my likes might not be so mainstream or in other words not so popular artist. For this posting, I shall blog about 2 artists from the Cpop world since my choice for Kpop  is well known which is CN Blue, as well as some others.
1.Evan Yo (Tsai Min Yo) - This 23 year old guy who will be coming up with his latest album soon, is multi-talented. He had been a DJ for Taiwan no.1 radio station,Hit FM I think last month for a week.He also composes his own songs, and for his last album he spend 9hours a day composing. In addition, he was also a graduate of National Taiwan normal university
For more info about Evan Yo you can go to his like page at Evan Yo www.facebook.com/evanyo.page. Some of his songs that I liked include Wo Ke Yi (I Can),Ji Mo Hao Le(Loneliness Enough) and one of his upbeat song Wo Hui Lai Le(Im back).

2.yen-j - This 23 year old who have been nominated for the latest Golden Melody Award Best New Artist Award which was won by Wei Li Ann. Last year as reported by Singapore's Mypaper, yen-j said that its jazz over medicine for him but his dad has given him a timeframe of 2 year to make it or break it,of which if he fails he would have to continue his studies to become a doctor. However, after the success of his 1st album, his dad changes his mind and gave him a 10 year time instead. In my own POV, even though he doesnt win the best new artist, he was more successful as seen from the popularity of him songs that became the OST of 2 Taiwanese drama. Some of his song that I liked include Good Thing from his 2nd, latest album that was released last May, Not Lonely. And this song is my ringtone!

P.S. this song was inspired from the recent tsunami that hit Japan

Thats it folks see ya,jom music

Review:MH is Malaysian Hospitality?

Its been a while since I had taken a flight with Malaysia Airlines, the last was my flight to Taipei in December 2008. This time around for my flight back to Brunei for sem holiday, I had chosen MAS based on the fare (RM$6/7) but there was a ton of other surcharges and taxes about RM$160! The flight no was MH730, a Boeing 737-400 which was the most common fleet for MAS flights til they got more 737-800 which was so much nicer! The flight ETD was 1.30pm.
The check-in process was fast as I had performed Online Check-in. After check-in terus went down to escalator to the International Departure area.
Boarding commences quite late, a little over 12.40pm. And boarded the plane at 1.10pm, picked up a copy of Star paper at the plane entrance. 2 flight attendants greeted us while another few were on hand to assist with your hand baggage. Interestingly, the Star paper dont have the Metro section which I was awaiting to read every Saturday as The Bangsar Boy column was interesting to read, nevermind that Metro pullout got tons of ads!
A few people called for service just before takeoff and the FA gladly brought the pillows and blankets that was requested.
I was seated at 7C, but since my sides B and A was not taken apparently I got 3 seats for myself haha! Flight time was officially 2h 20min which was similar as Air Asia but not RBA which is only 1h 50min or 2h 5min. Puzzling, same route timing different.
After takeoff to cruising altitude, the co-pilot made a long announcement regarding our flight.Quite a chirpy co-pilot I must say.
Then it was makan time. What in the world was served hmm Chicken kebab with rice or beef with kuskus (what is that dont ask me),Arabic choices. This is again puzzling as Brunei is somewhere in ASEAN and not in Middle East.I was hoping MAS serve nasi lemak but apparently from my reading of flight review nasi lemak was served too frequently that many complainted! The meal was served in a 'eco-box', inside was a small cup of Spritzer mineral water,a pack of Cadbury Gold chocolate,a slice of cake and of course the hot meal. Not too bad tasting but I would prefer if there are carrots in it haha!
Since the last time, I saw from blogs that MAS still gives away stationery kit I decided to request for a pen and a postcard. And yeah I got it, but kinda disappointed that MAS didnt issue new postcards.MAS should take this opprtunity to issue new postcards of the new 738 and also the new airbus 330.
In flight angri Bird fiesta was on haha! people playing on htc, ipad, iphone, etc
The descent route was apparently different from usual, last time I use Air Asia it uses Muara route,RBA uses Bandar route while MAS uses a route that allows me to see Kg Wasan (lots of paddy).
Immigration at Brunei was a little longer as before our arrival it was still clearing Air Asia flight pax.Baggage was out quite fast and the new trolley sponsored by Tel Bru was smaller but better.
So, in conclusion was MH Malaysia Hospitality and not only airline code? Yes or No its your own to judge but from what I say it is. Tutup cerita LOL!

225th post

Been a while since I had posted anything on this blog and guess what this is the 225th blogpost since the 'birth' of this blog in year 2008. Loads of things happen between the last posting and this posting regarding my life, the world at large, etc, etc. Will try to keep em short n sweet to avoid my blog becoming a 'Jigglypuff', LOL!
Education Update
Exam period is from 7-21 (yesterday).7,10,13,21 were the exam dates and all of them were 3hr paper.
7th is Biz Stats - not too hard but not easy either just right.I just hope that I can get a upper D but a low HD will be a bonus
10th is Biz Law - 1 of the toughest unit of the 4 (maybe not) units, the only open-book exam. From the name of the question I can summarise Dr Doom I am DOOMED! Hopefully I didnt misunderstood the facts of the question, otherwise a potential D can turn into a C or even P,but if I did it nicely could be HD
13th is Money n Caps - Not as hard as I thought but I think I screwed up the stock exchange question and my prediction went very off haywire.Could be a D
Yesterday Financial Accounting was a disaster for most of the students I think. Too much theory and some of it was so hard, I really hoped I didnt screw up the Point of Regconition question otherwise potential 18 can become a disastrous 9 or lower n there goes my biggest HD hope
A note to notice since it is MISSION QUITE IMPOSSIBLE to get straight HDs,I promise that if I get it I would start contributing to the World Vision monthly contribution to help those children in poor countries to have a better life. In addition, I badly need to boost my badly battered average grade of 67.5 to at least 70!
Alrite I was distracted just now by 2 things which I will blog about later, back to blogging
On another note,I had just allocated for next sem all are my core units.Commbank,Company reporting,Financial Management n 1 more forget haha
Well thats about it for my educational update.sem 1 has finally closed it curtains for me and now the d-day awaits on July 11!
This sem I did lots and lots of group studying instead of me studying alone. Sharing knowledge is a good virtue and I works on the basis of what goes around comes around. No I dont expect any financial returns from them although i joked around wanting a business class ticket back to Brunei and also venison  haha.Only god can decide whether I deserve to be rewarded financially or non-financially.
20th BIRTHDAY
Happy Belated 20th Birthday to this blog owner from all the staff n administrator (ada ke?) of this blog.May I have a blissful, happy for many many years ahead til I became successful in life. I thank god for whatever that I have now even though its not as good as some other rich/smart/good kid have, I am grateful for it. On the day, my fellow coursemates blanja me at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng, and they also got to enjoy a huge glass of HK milk tea courtesy of my birthday (the one in my Facebook DP). Thanks for the treat, may you all have a great year ahead of you!

I stop here for the time being,my hand is tired typing, will continue some more in 1hr or so.At the mean time, enjoy this blogpost

Movie Galore before 'Nightmare' Comes

Before this, when people ask me have you seen this movie, that movie, I say sorry saya tunggu DVD. Now, Movie becomes part of my live. I have no idea how many $$$ have I contributed into 'Sugar King' Robert Kuok coffers (GSC is part of PPB Group owned by Kuok) or Ananda Krishnan coffers (TGV Cinemas is part of Tanjong Group owned by Tan Sri Maxis Astro). Sometimes I watch movie every other day, every week!
Ok here's some of the movies that I had watched recently
Fast 5- definitely awesome, awesome cars, actions. Most said its best movie of the year, well I agree on that
Priest - I am personally surprised this movie passed thru Lembaga Penapisan since it had some Christianity element in it. Movie about priest killing vampires, good albeit quite short 87min
THOR - This movie becomes part of the hype in Singapore elections. With the Thunder and Hammer, it will be a great power aka force to be reckoned, just like in Singapore PAP (lightning), WP (hammer). I watched this at TGV KLCC courtesy of Everyone Connects, and in 3D! Not to mention, among the 1st to watch in the world n Malaysia!
Next week, I am going to watch Pirates of Caribbean subject to no other plans by my fellow coursemates, courtesy of NEXT programme!
Lastly, if you are a movie fans take advantage of TGV offers by Daily Sugars. Buy movie ticket for only $7 (mind you Wednesday is $9 and student price is $10). But be reminded 1 person only can buy up to 10 tickets!
The bad news are slowly crippling in, EXAMS ARE NEARER! Its going to be a nightmare!
Till, next posting maybe next week or after exam.
Sarcastic Enjoy dearer sugar, or maybe in some shops cheaper drinks if you prefer kurang gula or no gula (Personally I feel, even sugar price belum naik drink price sudah naik 20sen for some drinks!). This is my 'dark secret' but whenever I go buy coffee at Pacific Coffee (my weekly coffee dosage nowadays), I 'borrow' some sugar packets hehe!
Unsarcastic 9sen for 1min of conversation from anywhere in this world to your loved ones/friends in Malaysia, all thanks to 'Mobile Phone Reinvented, Communications Redefined' powered by YES4G by YTL. YES had just made 'apples speak' by introducing YESlife iOS for iPod Touch, iPhone n iPad on Friday. And YES is going to make 'dancing robot and 'berry that cant be eaten' speak the YES way'! Amazing isnt it be amazed when you say YES, Malaysia's fastest 4G internet with voice or as the quote of Wing K Lee, CEO YTL Communications 'We are the fastest guy in town'. Jim Carey starred in the 'Cable Guy; so I called YES4G 'The Internet Guy'! For an update:YES had carried 224TB of data, 1.75m min n 859k SMS since it launched in Nov 2010. The data usage exploded 117% over last data in March of 104TB, I think this is attributed to Valuepacks.Voice min also exploded 75% from 1m! Kudos to YES! And thank you to me for being such supportive of YES4G. More amazing things in the YES story, coming soon!

OTR Driving Lesson n Club21 Sale!

Yesterday, I went for driving lesson number 2. It was on the road! 1st round the instructor, Cikgu Kamal drive and I sat beside him while he explain things to be done. After 1 round to Laluan 1. Its my turn to drive. Sad to say I dont have a good clutch control, and causes the car to 'mati engin' lots of times, even worst at the traffic light causing angry drivers to hon at us! At least Im a little improved last time I still need to look at my leg and the gear while changing it but now no need already yeah! LOL! Dont be too happy yet, the most important thing is clutch and gear control so that wont 'mati engin'.If I cant do it right, my JPJ test is going to be GG! Thats why I hate manual cars!
After my driving lesson, went with Tommy to Mid Valley for the Club21 Designer Clearance Sale. Actually I wanted to go today but since Tommy ajak me so I go with him yesterday. There we meet JX car in the carpark haha LOL!
Ok before I go on further what the heck is club21? Club21 is owned by Christine Ong, and you may ask again who is she? She is wife of Ong Beng Seng, one of the richest Malaysian in Singapore. Concorde Hotels,Hard Rock Hotel in Asia are owned by him. Oh yes, he is also the organiser of F1 in Singapore! Back to Club21. Club21 is the Asia license holder for Calvin Klein, DKNY, Armani Exchange (AIX), Giorgio Armani and more brands. In other words all the CK, DKNY stores in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand are owned by Club21.

how much damage had I done to my bank account? Not much just $350 for 4 piece of clothing! Let me give you the breakdown: (estimate UP coz the cashier took the price tag,i wonder why, over markup?)
AIX top looks like jacket UP $499 offer $50!
AIX plain T-shirt UP $239 offer $50
CK plain shirt UP $439 offer $100
CK pants (dont know what design just take only) UP $769 offer $150

Spend like 2hr there and only got 4 piece of clothing haih! And there are a lot of sweater, dont know why are they selling sweater in Malaysia.such a hot weather! Perhaps they want more people to sweat more! And there are no fitting room, otherwise I would get 2 pants!

Anyway even though I spend quite a lot its well worth every sen, and giving my body a 'luxury covering over my skinny body' haha LOL!

The brand that I really wish have sale like this is Esprit and Topman. I never see them having such sale but in neighbouring Singapore they organise it!

Righty, my hand is over tired typing these whole week, assignment and this blogpost. See ya soon and Happy Labour Day Extended Holiday Till Monday have a great weekend ahead!

Fun Time

I dont know is it funny or WTH but I got a funny tale to tell! 2 part in this post 1st part trip to Genting,2nd part clubbing 1st time!

Went up to Genting with my Monash mates, Tommy, his friend, Michelle J, Michelle T, Elaine from Sabah n Carmen. The actually plan was I was to enter the casino n try to win some cash with the guys but apparently some slips by me, make me having to enjoy in the outdoor park instead with the girls instead!

I could enter the casino with no problem, just enter selamba je! Then I head for the slots n inserted $10. Played till the credit want to finished, but suddenly I got a 'small durian runtuh'! I remembered what my dad say about casino 'When win stop'! So after winning $3, I decided to cashout. To my dismay there are no cashout button,so I called for the attendant. He give me a slip to collect the money. Then at the counter while waiting, suddenly policeman come and take me into the control room to be interrogated/interviewed. Asked the usual questions, nothing much and tell me only can enter in 2012 as Im underaged! And was 'chased out' of casino! If only I would wait for Tommy's green card then I would be $3 richer or $50 richer or $50 poorer!Apa nak buat tak der nasib la nak dikatakan

Then I joined the girls for fun in the outdoor park. I didnt go on most of the rides but I did go on the Cyclone, Malaysia 1st roller coaster, Spinner,Merry go round n Dinosaur island boat ride! However, poor us it rained and rained! And Elaine was frustrated that she couldnt get on the 360 degree coaster! Had McDonald for lunch, my goodness double the price!

Had a rather late dinner with them at Murni SS2.My goodness this mamak is so packed to the max even till the kaki lima! Had nasi lemak which is good, as good as the one I get from Teh Tarik Place but its ayam goreng is bigger and slightly cheaper!

Had a great time with them though even though I was 'chased out' from casino haha! And had rather interesting talk with them

Turn the clock forward to Monday, went for movie with JX n Tommy after Moncap class. Watched Scream 4! But I dont know what to say, the main essence is a phone call:Who is this then this is the last person you would see alive then a masked guy come to stab! I dont know what to say! Dinner at mamak near Taylors. Had Indomie with chicken $7! Mamak boleh jadi millionaire la macam ni! Anyway I miss Indomie!

Turn the clock forward again to Thursday nite! Club N Drink nite with Monash mates, JX n his gf, Wen Li, Tommy, Chris, Shu Wern, Chris friend and Elaine ! At first, I didnt want to go but I now realised that its so much fun! Earlier planning was to stay at Republic till late but they thinks Republic is too quiet so decided to go MOS after some drinks! 1st on the menu, Long Island, lemon tea mixed with bacardi n whatever I dont know! Next on the menu, Cokabel (coke + black label). Cokabel tasted awful even with 75% coke 25% black label, but Long Island is nice though. In total I had 3 glasses so I think I can tolerate better alcohol now after my 1st time experience last Xmas. But after 1-2 glass starting to feel a bit dizzy but still ok!

After that went to MOS for dance till around 2am. Had to pay cover charge $40 though inclusive of 1 drink! After MOS, again went to mamak. I cant barely sleep.slept at 4am woke up at 8am feeling energized haha!

Clubbing and drinking is going to be part of my life, but cant overdo it!Its costly and not good for health! Some alcohol is good though when you want to release stress or celebrate something!

Signing off, I gotta struggle for some more weeks since exam is nearer n assignment due date is coming soon!

Sohai Mode

Apologise for neglecting this blog for 2wk again! This is because Im in a 'sohai' mode, which I will explain in a bit. There will be another round of marathon posting to compensate it! So dont sue me for duty of care due to negligence coz you aint going to get it haha (ops law overloaded)!

1st of all you want to know what is the meaning of sohai right? The better meaning of it is crazy! Another meaning of it maybe too XXX to be posted here! Well there is your friend Google, so google it!
For the past 2wk I am in a 'crazy' mode. Last wk, I went to Putrajaya n KLCC. You must be thinking gila ker apa budak ni? Yes, I covered 2 places within 1day! Tak saya tak gila, saya terlalu 'free'!

And experienced so many kind of transport. I used the fast ERL train from Putrajaya to Kl Sentral which takes around 15min which is really fast compared to using bus, however it costs a 'worth it' $9.50. And if you bring your laptop or anything that have wifi, you can get free 4g wifi from YES4G which is the sister company of ERL, all under the umbrella of YTL, the builder! And also as usual Rapidkl bus and LRT as well as in Putrajaya Nadiputra bus.

I went to Putrajaya to collect my Facebook contest prize from Alamanda Putrajaya. The prize was well a lucky dip, and I got half a dozen of Big Apple Donut. In addition to that, I also gets to see Putrajaya as the Nadiputra bus takes a long long detour!

Next stop KLCC for PCFair! As expected KLCC is full of PC n gadgets buyers! Before that, I went for a quick 'tea break' at La Cucur, which is famous for its Malay kuih! Tasty but pricey, 3 piece of kuih $3.60! But their kuih have some special taste which I cant describe you have to try it yourself!

And the PCFair spans 2 floor and many halls! The 3rd floor is for AV things, Intel and gaming things. Saw Chris, my classmate.wanted to go say hi but sees he is so busy with his sales so dont want to kacau him. And in other halls are the computer vendors, saw YES doing joint promo with Acer. And in their Facebook, some people wonder why YEs dont have their own booth? In the directory YTL Communications is listed as 1 of the exhibitors in the telco zone! My damage is just a Singapore branded Sonicgear headset costs $26.90

Yesterday, I was also in the same 'gila' mode!Travelling to PWTC and Mid Valley! Went to PWTC for KL International Book Fair. And my favourite publisher Karangkraf had set up its booths near the entrance which is so good for visitors. Bought 3 Klik,3 Remaja at discounted price and got freebies! However I think the freebies are less 'syok' compared to what I get in Karangkraf Karnival in January! Buy Klik I get Mentholatum sample! Err, Klik is an entertainment magazine so I expect to get some movie freebies or the much wanted Kpop artist posters and postcards. And Klik posted on their Facebook, ari Sabtu/Ahad baru ada! Ei geramnya saya! Sometimes being early got no perks! For Remaja I got DiGi freebies which is ok.And also fibre powder and Garnier sample! Next I continued my hunt to find Berita Publishing to get my mum magazine. However Berita decided to hide itself up in a small corner and its so hard to find!

After PWTC off to Mid Valley. As usual had my lunch at Room18 which is as usual packed! Tried the new Venison Stonepot set @ $18.Includes a seaweed soup,2 piece of dimsum(fried prawn dumpling n fried radish cake).not forgetting venison hot in stonepot (poor deer/payau), and a bowl of premium rice! also ordered a 3 filling chee cheong fun!Last time I ordered a pork chee cheong fun @$8.80 n with additional $2 I get 2 more filling! With the 18 Room its only $4.80.almost the price of kopitiam chee cheong fun!

After lunch, went to Robinsons only to be disappinted by them! Wanted to give them business but I only saw Winter collection instead of the new Summer collection which they claim is in store and selling fast.Never trust Facebook people, LOL!

Enough of craziness story, my hand is tried too. Another coming up!
P.S. I got myself 2AM showcase ticket thanks to DiGi but should I go? Hmm

Invest, Eat & Crap

Welcome again to the extended version of my weekly posting! Since I got nothing better to do, its only reasonable if I continue updating this blog! If I go out sure will spend money, especially with the f1 sale going on,sure my money will drain out of my bank A/c like the speed of a f1car!

Which brings us to the 1st topics Invest! I do not know whether it is a good or bad time to invest but I had started investing in the stock market! Its a small investment though, only 100 shares of a few REITs which I think had the potential!1st wk of investing,I had been taken on a roller coaster ride as the price goes up 3sen,6sen and drop 5sen respectively. And apparently Im going to receive my returns soon as the financial report is coming out soon! Its not a zero risk game though, but considering property price are strong and doesnt show sign of going down and baring any circumstances (touch wood) like SARS,H1N1 or anything else bad, its pretty safe! I made the decision to invest as I want to be 'money smart' instead of 'money drainer'. If I just keep the money in the savings A/c earning a paltry few cents that is even barely not enough to buy a Chupa Chups I guess haha! But luckily, I had found an account that pays 10X more interest that normal saving! But its still quite low,so I diversified my portfolio further into REITs recently and soon Cash Fund which offers 2.6% according to the ads! I dare not go into buying stocks as Im still a 'newbie'!

With all the fruits of my 'frugal'(karit lifestyle, karit ka haha) spending, which most of my allowance is channeled to investing, its time for a little celebration Eat! Room18 which is part of Tai Thong Group had its 2nd anniversary promo where you can order selected 18 items on promo at incredible 18 Deals prices some as low as $1!I was asking around my circle of friends whether they want to go or not and I blanja them, but seems  that nobody interested to go considering Tropicana is quite far and MV is badly jammed usually! Hence, yesterday I went to eat with my cousin, and it was packed! We ordered simply too much that we were full from lunch till dinner (other words to payah makan dinner!). Just a duo mix rice set with drink n dessert,a meat rice set,2 drinks,2 item from promo,2 dimsum item which costs around $70! I have been raving about Room18 but the blogs were divided some of them said its no good, some say so,little say great (except me). I think its bcoz they are used to eating may different restaurants and so they had higher expectation considering its part of Tai Thong! And Im only used to home cooked food hence my expectation is lower perhaps! Each people had there own taste n opinion so different review!

Last but not least time for a little 'current issue crap', not serious political things though! 2 of my fav artists Hsiao Hung Ren/Jen & Blue J Ji Jia Song had released their new albums! One of Hsiao Hung Ren song is named 'Wo She Shou Shou De Nan Shen' (Im a Thin Guy). Some of the lines of the lyrics if Im not mistaken (forgive me if its wrong), says that coz Im (not me the song lyrics) thin and unattractive. its difficult to woo the girls! This line sounds so 'me', hence I gotta buck up by starting going to the gym(? maybe) or play more sports! On the other hand, Blue J new album one of the song is titled Gold Fish tears (I guess), is about the feeling of a heartbreak or breakups! Havent listen to it gotta download it first to listen a few times then I can get the meaning!

Signing off! just like Tiger Huang song Mei Na Me Jian Dan. Life is not so easy! Things are getting tougher and everyone is being competitive. It is the reality of the survival of the fittest.Who doesnt buck up shall lose!

Assignment,Phone & Internet (API)

Helo dear readers, Im back (Wo Hui Lai Le). Sorry for neglecting this blog for almost 3wks as I am extremely busy with my 'brain-cracking' Law assignment, Stats assignment,Accouting assignment as well as a few online quizzes!
However after fumbling with endless phone calls even at 1am in the morning from my team-mate and also other coursemates, in addition to understanding standard of care, duty of care, etc, etc. Finally Im freed from all these worries! Yeah!
This time around the Assignment Period 1 sem 1 2011, I had joined into discussions groups instead doing it alone! As some people say 2 heads are better than 1! And its also interesting to have people to dispute your points or prove you wrong!
Afther aP1 is over, I can have a little breather before starting off either on a '1-man show' or duo show for my MonCap 2000words report!

10 lines of rambling on assignments is bad enough to read so lets move on to a lighter topics! Around my circle of people I know, around me, more and more people are indulging into the lifestyle of 'smart phone'.Welcome to the era of smart phone! Its either Blackberry, Androids, iPhones! Less and less people are using Symbian or JAVA phones like yours truly (well there are still though but theirs are a bit hightech one got touch screen or QWERTY keyboard)! There are people who try to persuade me to buy Blackberry but sorry Im not so interested in BB. Not bcoz of its function but the shape of the phone! I prefer to have an 'enlongated' and sleek phone like some Androids released by Samsung recently or Apple's iPhone range! To tell you the truth Im actually waiting for iPhone 2011 edition (whatever the name is called 4g/4gs/5). According to news report which are simply giving me too much 'info overload', its not going to be anytime soon due to 'Mother's Nature fury that hits Japan'! Some claims in July/Sept it will be out however Apple said its annual WWDC which is so far the platform to introduce new iPhone, they will concentrate more on software! This is really heart breaking! I hope Mr Steve Jobs n Foxconn n others release the new iPhone ASAP as my crappy Symbian phone of 2yr+ is faltering already n Im ready to splash RM$2k for a spanking new iPhone that is sleek n classy! Baru ada class LOL!

From phone talk, we move on to the last 'talk' of this posting. Internet! As I posted my Speedtest on Twitter occasionally, my Brunei friends have been amazed by the speed given by YES4g, my current ISP powered by YTL Communications, the builder company! From a 400kbps download rate to speed of 8 mbps in Speedtest and even a Mnet Asia Music Award live streaming from red carpet at 4pm till the end of the award at around 10pm for 6h (less CF time) with little buffering! This proves my choice of ISP is right and tonite Im going to put it on a test again to stream Hitfm Award from 5.30 (red carpet) till 11pm the end of award.Let see from 10k users to now 150k users, will it still perform? And i found that if I have the bandwidth and speed suddenly from a low user I became quite a high user, in a month I used around 7GB! Amazing is isnt it! Haha

Signing off now, and Im going to do another posting (its going to be a marathon run) today

Plain Crap:A YES,a language & some $ talk

Apology to Earthlings who were waiting for me to post up something last week but Im terribly busy last week so cant post a thing or rather cant find time. Last week I was bugged by a tutor who literally left almost 20 of us who was in his tutorial group on a 'cliffhanger'! In addition, I was busy with group discussions for assignments that is going to be due soon or in other words this week! Anyways, I managed to find some time today to post up something, enjoy people and I see you probably next week or so?

Amazing YES or plain trick?
Malaysians have been amazed by YES since its launch in November 2010. This include me (Yours Truly), who have done so much promotion for YES that I managed to get 2 new customers for YES (banggalah, LOL!). In addition, my Bruneian fellow friends were also very much interested in YES service, and was amazed by its low ping(latency) & also blazing speed of download. There is a saying that says 'Good things should be shared with others, so if you get fast internet why not share which ISP you are using so that your fellow friends can also enjoy the same' Sharing is Caring! Last week, Star published an interview with Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, the man behind YES4G (or better known as the people network). He states that YES4G network is able to support 15 million/15 JUTA users before it gets congested and require upgrade! I beg to differ Tan Sri, but Im more pessimistic I say 1.5 million users and Yes will be congested! 15 million is like half of Malaysia population! Is YES really prepared for that much of users without upgrade? Lets wait and see! In another update, Tan Sri Francis also said if there is 20 million/20 JUTA users on board YES4G network, they will do a Groupon and give more discounts to users (other words lower rates). It is also mentioned that they are targeting 400,000 students nationwide next! Ok, but your student plan (Campuspack) is more costly than normal Valuepack.Apa macam ini?
Language Language
Last week, it was reported that the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaya came under fire for asking undergrads to improve their English! Im not here to comment about that, but Im here to present my observation of which I always runs into trouble with! Generally, (not all) city folks/KLians are more inclined to speak English, even when you speak to them in Chinese/Malay. Not talking about Bahasa Rojak here. While non-KLians are more adaptive, you speak English with them they reply in English and so on so forth. This is just a general observation, please dont find me and give me a piece of you (Disclaimer haha, Biz Law class teach me to use disclaimer)! KL is an international metropolis so apa nak dihairankan!
Money Not Enough Meh!
Im not here to create a script for Jack Neo famous Money Not Enough continuation but rather to blog about what was talked about this morning, which I think was rather a heavy topics for us students now. Previously I had blogged that scholarship students from certain countries can get up to RM$3500/month as allowances! That is like the salary of an account officer I guess! Students have been grapling with increasing cost no thanks to 'people 1st' government policy of reducing subsidies, for the betterment of our future generation! 1 full tank of petrol requires Rm$50 for a small car, and imagine 4 days of class commuting to and for your house to uni, how long can it last? Not to mention if you have to go dating with your girlfriends if any, hangout with friends at mamak stalls. Imagine how much the petrol and toll costs a month? This is only 1st part of the story! Havent even talked about food, etc, etc! Talking about food, dont you find it rather irony that uni food are supposed to be at par or cheaper than outside? However for my case and perhaps a few others, this is the case! There had been already talks of further reduction of subsidies for flour n sugar, but the govt quashed it as baseless but often gave warnings 'WE CANT TAHAN ANYMORE'! Bracing a 10-20sen increase in drink price/50sen increase in food price once in a blue moon is acceptable but once every 3 months is a big NO NO! Not to mention gym, phone, internet,Astro, shopping n more, allowance of RM700-1000 a month might not be enough if you are not smart enough and you spend money like running tap! What if (touchwood) you get samans, how to pay? Then, the emergency savings come into play! But if you dont have how? Sie liao loh! (die already) or you are in a big trouble! Even if you have quite a sizeable savings like me, with the paltry interest banks give (0.1-2% at most) and luckily I found the one the give 1.5%! Inflation is going to eat up your savings, and here comes investment into the game! Investment is not a zero risk game but there are some low risk investment such as REITs which so far so good!
Well there you have it 3 feature stories for this week. hope you enjoy it.before I end condolences to Japan tsunami n earthquake victims, stay strong and rebuild Japan as Asia powerhouse! And today, some video had been exposing some opposition figure that the govt didnt like! Mind you we had a Johor video last time, then a superimposed picture of somebody, some nude pictures of some politicians, and a whole lot more in the past. Now, some alleged video of this person with a prostitute? Have their thinking drop so low til the Gutter Level?

Enough, of me talking crap! I gotta go lots of things to do! Bye, have a great week ahead

Chillax Days

Well hello there its Sunday again! Entering 3rd week of Sem2, and the bad news are slowly creeping in! Assignment due dates are in 12 days (the earliest), in between tons of notes, tutorials, online quizzes to be answered! And mind you, 1st 2wk lessons seems ok but starting wk 3 Im starting to see 'stars' aka blur, especially Money n Cap & Biz Law (2 of the most difficult units). Ok, I wont bore you dear readers of this 'boring wordy' blog with details of how difficult it is. Instead I will blog about MATTA, Shogun Nite Out & Saturday! Enjoy
Shogun Nite Out

On Thursday went to eat at Shogun with 9 other people (JX and his girlfriend, Wen Li, Yun Soon and his girlfriend, 'birthday girl' Shu Wern, Elaine, Shu, Andrea & Tommy (thanks for driving me to and from Pyramid). Paid $52 for the buffet which I think is quite reasonable for the range of food. This dinner is to celebrate the completation of Management & Microecon units, and also to mark the start of Assignment Time sem 2! Lots of things were talked about (off the record not posted in this blog or anywhere else but in our brains, haha LOL!) I had quite a lot of food:tempura, dimsum, fish, 2 soup, lots of drinks, fruits, ABC, teppenayaki, sushi (forget already). Not quite tasty as people say in blog! But its enjoyable as Im eating with a bunch of people that is not considered 'boring'!

MATTA
This crazy fellow (Yours Truly) travelled all the way to PWTC for no apparent reason just to see MATTA Fair when he is supposed to do uni related things! Ok the truth is I am 'researching' for destinations to go during my holiday in Jun or in Dec! Choices are HK/Shenzhen/Macau, South Korea! And in the fair, I found something quite unusual travel to North Korea? I remembered I watched a video on STOMP, that in neighbouring Singapore NATAS Fair which was held a little earlier than MATTA, there was also tour offering to North Korea! Its a country that people wont normally travel to but it seems there are more and more tours to North Korea even from Brunei!
visit korea sparkling and get free teddy?nope try again!

Cant go to Korea? No worries take a pict on this Hallyu Wave board

Saturday Day Out
Saturday I met up with my cousin at 1U and also to go for the CDRAMA Music Carnival to get some CDs autographs. 1st we went for lunch at Fish n Co. Pretty reasonable price I must say for such a large portion of food in a pan! And dont forget to try Cola/Kola Tonic their signature drink!
Then after that almost 2pm so I go to CDRAMA Carnival to buy CDs and also to catch a glimpse of artist (details later part of this blog)
Sorry That I bought your CD haha LOL!
Sorry That I Love you! Know this song people? I suppose you do if you listen to Chinese radio stations! Its one of the hits song currently on the charts! And possible one of the most liked love songs for now! I think on Friday there was someone I know RT a tweet that says 'buka Channel V ada orang putih nyanyi pikir nyanyi lagu English tapi actually lagu Cina'! And who is this 'orang putih nyanyi lagu Cina' that Im talking about? He is Anthony Neely or Chinese name Nee An Tong!
What can I say about him, his dad is from US and his mum is from Taiwan. He is not an ABC I think (because ABC is both American Chinese parents)! He had just recently released his album Lesson One! Enough history, lets get back to the meet the fans session
At the carnival, he sang 'live' Sorry That I Love You and autographed the lyrics book! In addtion he also shook hands with the buyers after autographing them! CDRAMA had a 20% disc of the CD price so I also didnt miss the opportunity to get autograph and shook hands with him. The only bad thing was too many rules were imposed due to lack of time (eg no photograph on the stage)! Enough said, I will let the pictures to speak for itself and also a video of sorry that i love you (if you are interested)!
Bye see ya soon with more interesting content

snap people snap as many picts as possible
singing sorry that i love you live
posing with fans background n cd
apa khabar malaysia!
People queing up for autographs
He is also 988 15th anniversary Ambassador.Earlier on Friday he went on air live on 988 for hours as guest DJ
Anthony Neely signing autograph
My own copy of Lesson 1 and autograph!

The Week That Twas!

So, I had been almost a week Im back to KL for 2nd sem 1st yr of my degree! Lets break the stories up into a few small parts. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
Air Asia Flight
The flight well nothing to shout about since its AirAsia, an LCC. Well there was some delay I supposed is caused by the pretty uncomfortable air condition.I think the worst turbulence that I had experienced!
In Brunei Airport, when the loaders were unloading cargos/bags/etc from the aircraft, suddenly a few kotak of Dell products fell off as the hatch was opened! Wonder if the computer was damaged. And apparently, there were a lorry + of Dell products, and some of the people who were waiting said 'They just umban aja'!
Since its an afternoon flight I decided to order nasi lemak for my 'early dinner'. I came with a small tiny cup of tea/coffee. Costs RM$12 but its really filling, the rice was fragrant, half an egg, some ikan bilis, few pieces of chicken rendang and a whole lot of sambal.I must say the rendang was a tad too spicy for me compared to what I had in my previous flight with RBA!
New Sem,New Vision
New sem, new target to be achieved! For the start, let me talk a bit about my Summer results, not great but I passed with credit, ok finish! The biggest shock of this sem is the amount of work that have to be put, as well as a Law book that costs $399 despite of floods, drought, etc in Australia (man Australia is very costly). So far so good for the lectures and tutorials! But its only 1st week and still 11 weeks to go! Haih! And I guess I knew nobody in the tutorials since I choose the 'less laku' ones haha
Movie Nite
Of late I had been playing an online treasure hunt on Fb organised by Maybank FUN! The organisers decided to book a cinema for movie nite on Thursday. So, I registered for it and it was held at GSC Tropicana City Mall. After my dinner at Room18, went for registration & got goodie bag! Event started at 8pm, and movie 127 Hours started at around 9pm. Before movie there was a speech on NEXT programme (if you want to learn how to be rich and have a chance to meet the top bosses in Malaysia like the man behind YES4G, Tan Sri Francis Yeoh of YTL, the man behind Now Everyone can fly, Dato Seri Tony Fernandes, and more!) as well a beach ball game (not kidding a beach ball game in a cinema). In the game there were cash prizes, food, Starbuck vouchers! Although I was entitled for the Starbucks voucher but apparently the official didnt see me hence forget about me, and I have no luck in winning the RM180/100 cash prizes! But had a great nite though!
Zoom to Robinsons
Yesterday, I went to Robinsons (again!) to go for the GP sale preview for Robinsons cardmembers! Only bought a T-shirt UP RM69 but I only paid RM$47.10 (less RM$15 voucher that I earned + 10% disc). And they were serving good coffee, mind you not Nescafe or Super or Power Root but Italiano coffee thats made one by one! You can have latte, capucino or espresso! All for the customers
Say YES again?
News reports state that YTLComm aka YES4G is exploring to apply for license to offer its service in Sabah & Sarawak, which is a good news to me. For the record, Sabah & Sarawak dont have Unifi like Semenanjung do hence the main ISP is Streamyx.Hence if YES is coming to 'other side', Sabah & Sarawak will be enjoying full blown 4g speed with voice n SMS in a package. In addition, after 105 days of service, of which the 1st few days was a disaster but YES managed to make it up with a 'sorry gift' of 10GB for early adopters, it had carried over 1 million min of calls, almost 700k of SMSes & a whooping 105TB of data! It is also revealed that more than 100k of people had 'said YES' aka used YES service (proud to say include me). Finally, 80% of customers (including me but not lately) are satisfied with YES!
Yesterday, YES added more value n device into its offering. There is now a V68 (valuepack68) with 3.5GB,150 min of calls + SMS & V150 with 10GB,250 mins & SMS. For EPP, campuspack28 with 1Gb,100min,400SMS.
For device the much awaited Zoom is launched at RRP of $399, while the not so nice 4g phone Buzz is launched at $499 (which is lower than previously stated $599)
For the record, I have purchased a valuepack and still cant used it yet, perhaps its my fault or YES system need sync training!

Thats about it folks, i catch you up soon! too much to do. Before I go, just got a new roomate from Penang, a Med & Bioscience student. Gotta gotta go bye

Companion or Friend? Or Lover?

In 2008, when I went to Taiwan for a holiday, came across a feng shui shop. The sifu 'tilik my nasib', and apparently what he said was quite true. He said that in the future if I were to suceed, I would need to depend on people around me especially friends. The problem is my relationship with people is kinda 'cool' like. The sifu also knew I had this problem, but he say there is no feng shui remedy to this but instead you have to work it out on your own.
What do I mean by 'cool'? Definitely not cool fashion style! For example, when talking to people, I have problem starting up a meaningful conversation. I need someone to start the ball rolling! Perhaps I should join the Speakers Club to improve this? Another is when chatting, yes I do fare better in chatting with people online but sometimes I do run out of things on what to chat. I cant be chatting about the weather every time right? I cant understand why I cant communicate well in real life but can communicate in cyberspace. Am I living in my own dimension?
Since everything is a result of chain of reaction, if you dont have a good relationship with people/act cool to them, then if they have outing they wont ajak you. However, if you have quite a good relationship with people you will get invites to join them for movie, steamboat, clubbing, partying, dinner, etc. I must say some of these invites comes 'unexpectedly' i.e. Im on my way to somewhere but on the way met my friends and they ajak me to join them. However, I must say I am not invited to all of these outings! Excuse me, this is not a 'talian minta simpati'!
As I said in my previous posting, I may not have a lot of friends but I do have a lot of companion. From companion, if you have a good relationship with them, they could turn to be your friend. Some people categorize them into 2:'minum friend' and 'true friend'.
Minum friend is the friend that you ajak out for drinks and you talk to them about your problems (I dont think I have any since I havent went for round of drinks or clubbing yet)
True friend is self-explanatory. These are friends that stay with you when you are in need, dont take advantage of you, are difficult to come by and should be treasured. (I think I have a few of these).
From friendship it may develop into love. Am I looking for love? The answer is YES! And I have been getting a lot of signals already!

More open about myself

For the past year or so, I have been blog-hopping around a few blogs of people that I know or  maybe dont know. 1 of the blog that captures my interest is lonelyreload.blogspot.com by Mr Lonely or a 20 something Mr Lim. His blogposts as he describe it himself are emo in nature. Its very much focused on money and love. He also posts up some interesting stuffs that he got from Apple Daily as well as CARI mandarin forum (too bad I read no Chinese so too bad I cant understand). What do I know about this guy? Very little, his uncle, Captain Lim is a pilot with Air Asia (or retired already), he lives in Klang and studies in TAR College, Gombak. Thats it I guess! Interestingly, there are not a single photo of him in the blog. He is afraid of people knows who is him really, due to the nature of his blog I guess? However, if you people want insights to live his blog is worth visiting.
P.S. Im not being paid for advertising his blog!
This blog (Yours Truly 245isme.blogspot.com) have been around as long as your Go! Broadband is around. This blog is turning 3 come May. I also have been quite 'secretive' about my life, but not as secretive as the blogger, Mr Lonely stated above. This is because I have occasionally posted my photos up, but not always since I look bad in photos (I wonder why?). What do you know about me? My birthday is 24 May, an international Malaysian currently undertaking my degree in Monash Malaysia, dont have a lot of friends, loves to save paper (LOL!), very poor (haha), not smart (literally). Not a lot right? Well today, I shall be more open about myself. Studied in a chinese kindergarten, Tadika Chee Hwa in Labuan before. Moved to Brunei in 1996/97, and studied in St. Michael's, Seria til Form 4, Form 5 in St. Angela's & last but not least Pre-U in Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali. What can I say about myself last time? Hmm a 'pai kia' (bad boy) maybe? You have no idea how many damages have I done as a kid haha!
Wokay, I guess that's enough for this posting. I shall post up more about myself as I continues to open up more about my life. However, in a article that I have read recently it advises people who blogs not to be extremely private in disclosing your lifes!

Feature:Love is in the air for some and shattered hearts in the air also

99,999 or 9999 roses in a bouquet, a self-cooked candlelight dinner with a glass of wine perfect (if you are not underaged/your religion allows it),a romantic day in planning. Imagine how happy your girlfriend will be? However boyfriends will have sakit kepala counting the sens and dollars of the cost. I think its a small price to pay compared to what you get! LOVE is Priceless, for dates and flowers there is M*****card, LOL! If you get the 'correct formula', you might get what you want perhaps a kiss if you have never kissed before or 'that thing'. Dont need to be so specific this is not a 18SX blog. However, those thinking of 'that thing' better think careful its not 'Do and Go', its 'Do and Sign'. A very heavy price to pay for few hours of 'high'!
For those who are celebrating as a couple for the 1st time, it must be a great experience but however those who have been coupling for quite sometime and celebrated Valentine for a few times already, if each year the planning like 'plain air kosong' aka same every year, I think your partner will be sienz! The male need to think creatively to think something sweet and special for every year Valentine day, to surprise your partner. However in some other countries like Japan and Korea, I think on Valentine's day the ladies/female will be giving chocolates to the male, and the males will  'balas balik' one month later. This is 360 degree round from what is practiced here.
Righty let me talk about something I had read on the newspapers. The weekendT columnist(guy) didn't know what to give to the girl that he wanted to date on Valentine day and so ask his mum! What! Some people say mum knows best, right maybe in some cases but not this time! The mum said give a pandan chiffon cake (yes no typo)! So, this guy give to the girl the 'gift', and yes you guess it right She walked away and dated the guy who smiled at her! 'Durian runtuh' for that guy, and poor columnist he have to have his own cake and eat it too.
According to a magazine article, it says 'the Romeo' in the guys soul is slowly waning, some of the examples are instead of writing love letters, now you confess your love in Facebook (I wonder can you check in love in foursquare?), another is no more go all out to chase a girl, now its 'come we pak tor want or not?' Straight and simple or in Management terms efficient or is it effectiveness haha. No doubt, there are still people who go all out to chase a girl instead of terus popping that sentence out the moment you see 'the one'!
For singles out there (including yours truly and god knows how many more people out there), dont be despair if you dont have a girlfriend to celebrate Valentine with you this year. We all hope that this is the last year we will be celebrating solo Valentine. Valentine is a day of love not only for lovers, but also family and friends. No rule book say that Valentine day cant be celebrated with family & friends. Valentine is a day of love all day round!
For those who have already broke up (worst case is broke-up the day before Valentine), dont be despair. Your destiny have already been written that this is not 'the one'. As an old Chinese proverb say 'The old one dont go, the new ones wont came'. Who knows you will get a better partner in the future. For those who are still using 'GPS' to search the right one (like yours truly & others), when it is time then you will find your other half! Sometimes you dont realise when the 'right one' is just around the corner! Even if you are thousands of km away fate will bring 2 souls together if you are fated to be with the person. For those, who have someone in mind already but cant get it. Dont worrry, if its yours it will be yours!
Time to close this full of love posting, to lovers out there especially people I know my coursemates and friends, Happy Valentine Day and may you have a sweet & memorable time with your partners. To those celebrating solo Valentine, have a great one too and its not too bad either!
P.S. Dont jump jump jump if not ready (If you know what I mean)
