Trip of Realities or Possibilities?

Hey there people, welcome to another episode of the game of Realities or Possibilities. Today, we are going to talk about ....,  it’s the wrong script. On 23rd November 2009, after waiting in vain for 2 years, finally the SASians of 2007 batch as well as our new SMSAians friends were able to go on a trip to i-centre, Anggerek Desa & DST HQ, Tungku Link.

Our journey started from SMSA at around 7.20am, however before we were able to depart, Miss Tan, supervising teacher got to ask for Bilik Kerani key as the bus still haven’t arrive at 7 am and usually it always arrive early, so we have to call & ask but I forgot to bring the bas company phone no., so I gotta find buku telefon for the number, haha kurang pandai me!

Then, bus jalan to BSB, otw stop-by @ Seria bus station, Masjid Zainab, Sg Liang masjid & lastly Soon Lee Sg Liang to pick up some of them. Meanwhile, as they board the bus, I became the 'ticket boy' collecting payment from those who haven’t pay. On the other hand, otw to BSB, we saw a lot embassies car going down to KB, wonder what is on there? And, we saw 1 of those cars 'rosak di tengah jalan', pity the ambassador, kesian! In the bus, Honda Accord was mentioned frequently, was about ... biarlah rahsia since its private matters.

Di i- centre

At around 9.30 am, we reached i-centre.1 of the expression that some of them said was 'so small one the building'. While waiting for the person-in-charge, we wandered around the ground floor of i-centre. Some of them were snapping pictures, some were putting their eyes on Coffeezone, and some were eyeing hot guys (some of the girls did spot 1, the name was Nick). Person-in-charge was Dewi, and she wanted to meet Teo who was corresponding with her. She thought that I’m a teacher or staff member, but unfortunately not, I’m just a student! Then, every1 trying to kacau me calling me 'Teacher Teo', haha! Isn’t there is a Mr. Gregory Teo @ Mikhail teaching Bio in SMSA? LOL!

Then, we were listened to a 'short' presentation about i-centre, which lasts for about 1hr. It was interesting, as Dewi was also talking about her experience about working as a waitress, working in the bank, before working for i-centre & there was a part of the slideshow that gives 'info terbalik' that was corrected by the Centre Manager. Won’t talk much about i-centre, otherwise readers would be put to sleep! Zzzzzzz!

i -centre was officially launched by HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah on 26th March 2008; however it starts operation in 2007. i-centre is a project of BEDB & managed by KR Consulting, a commercial arm of NUS. It was led by a Centre Director & assisted by a Manager. There are 5 division in i-centre, namely Incubation, Marketing & PR, Facility, Administration, IT Support and surprisingly staffed by only 1 in each dept! Presently, there are 16 incubatees in i-centre. i-centre organised workshops under the brandname THiNK BiG. Think you have an idea bout IT, why not join the Biz Plan competition? Hard cold cash of 20k awaits the winner. Keeran Jannings(Expansys Technologies), who got 2nd place in the THINK BIG biz plan winner with the product YouGotSnapped. It’s a Facebook application. He was also voted as the 2nd cutest guy in Brunei, as voted by readers of RanoAdidas.com in a web poll.

In the near future, i-centre hopes to have a mini-Silicon Valley ala Brunei, with the building of Anggerek Desa Technology Park next door. At i-centre, they work as a team & they play hard as well as work hard. Some of the fun activities that they have are trips to Silicon Valley, Movies nites, Breakfast Club every fortnight. Lastly, we were explained about the misconception about i-centre:

• i-centre is not an EYE clinic as many thought

• i-centre is not the same as AiTi or vice-versa, jauhnya beza

Lastly, before the presentation ended, there was a quiz session with 5 prizes sponsored by incubatees (Alif & BAG). I was lucky to win one of the prize, a notepad with a pen sponsored by Alif & Mr. Photoshop Mizi was lucky to win 2 prizes, the Alif sponsored gifts & another by BAG Network. Before we were brought for a tour, Miss Tan presented a memento from SMSA to i-centre.

Green & Blue Floor

Then, we were brought on a tour of the 2nd and 3rd floor, better known as Green & Blue floor. Security were tight here as to enter need access card. We were shown brought to Mimit room, one of i-centre incubatees. Mimit had a product known as V-Trak, which is a GPS tracking software build for G4S. Now, with this you can track whereabouts are your 'anak dara','anak teruna', boyfriends, girlfriends, husband, wife, etc. A small device needs to be placed in the car, but it costs about 1k. This is useful for those always go to Miri, if your car kena curi, you can track your car & immobilise it. The boss also revealed that they are working to get their own virtual map licensed by Google, so if they made it, then they will be the 1st Bruneian company to work with Google.

Lastly, we were brought to the ground floor to show us i-centre security system build by John Harith Computer. It was based on face detection and access-card scanning. The funny thing here was Mr. John Lee, one of the owners of John Harith Computer arrived and he met Harith SMSA his partner, Harith replied its partnership. After that, it’s candid moments & says cheese!

@ The Mall
After that off to The Mall for lunch. We spend around 1.5hr at The Mall before departing to our next destination, DST HQ. At The Mall, after lunch, I met Zaim and so me, Eric, Zaim & Harith wandered around The Mall (looking at stuffs at Apple Store, I want a iPod Touch any1 wanna give me, walk to the 'kedai komunis' to buy CDs, etc). Before I met them, I wandered around The Mall myself trying to find Flesh-IMP store, a Singapore brand which has just entered Brunei market. OMG, so lawa the T-shirts but the price is also 'lawa'! Before we were about to depart to DST, we were having picture time & to our surprise 2 Spaniards said they are from Spanish TV & asked us to say a few words for the camera. Ola is one of it, another I can’t remember! Then, Miss Tan said 'oh oh those students have been hooked by the orang putih', as most of us were already in the bus except a few.

At DST HQ
We arrived at DST at around 1.50 pm. While waiting for the person-in-charge, we wandered around the building lobby & snapping pictures of things on display cabinets: mobile phones, cable TV goodies (wonder why we subscribers don’t get any?), etc. After waiting for like 30 min., we went for a short presentation on DST in the auditorium on tingkat 1.5. (Yes, no typo error). How do we get upstairs, using staircase, not normal staircase, but yg ada hole in between each steps. ‘Takut ku eh’! The presentation was done by Pengiran Haji Zahari, one of the Corporate Communications Dept officers. He explained about the organisation structure, companies under DST, CSR activities by DST, etc.

DST Carnival
He also revealed that on the 5th & 6th December, they are going to held DST Group Carnival there. Many fun activities would be available & not forgetting prizes to be won. In addition, personalities from Radio Era & Astro Ria would also be present. Last yr, they held it & I was present, it was so packed. Plus, there was really cheap bundles on Go! Broadband modem+laptop+prepaid packages. My dad scolded me for so eager to buy earlier the laptop, as when I bought from DST in August 2008, it was 1199, in the carnival it was 999. So if I buy in the carnival I would save lots since my dad paid 300 for modem, 30 for the Prepaid SIM card and lastly 1199 for a Dell XPS=1529, SAVE 530! OMG! This year, I have no idea what promo they will offer, but I should be as good as last years. Right, enough of free promo for DST.

12th Floor Phobia!
Before, the presentation ended we were presented gift bag containing water bottle, and some lucky ones got extra stuff such as a mug or a planner. Miss Tan also presented a memento to DST. Then, it was off to 12th floor for a little sightseeing. ‘Laju eh lift ani’ was one of the expressions said by some of them. However, the officer said ‘Dulu lagi laju, masani inda’. I think they slow it down because of something which happens years ago, wont talk much about it. Ada yg cakap ‘Siuk ni buat prom di 12th floor’, oh IDK but for yg gayat aka claustrophobia payah kan enjoy. The view from the 12th floor was amazing, we can see ‘Green Building’(hutan), Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, JIS, the sea, MOF building, Bukit Shahbandar, etc. We had our group photo here! Then, it’s off to 11th floor @ DSTCare 151.

DSTCare 151 @ 11th floor
If you are a DST subscriber, you would call this number when you complen pasal nada line, line kena block, nada servis, speed lagging, etc. There are 12 operators at max who handles up to 60,000 calls/month. DSTCare 151 receives an average of 120,000 calls/month of which 50% would be handled by IVR(interactive voice response) without going thru operators. Here, the operators practice 3C (Courteous, Commitment, and Courage), is it? They have a mirror in front of them, and they are required to smile when answering calls. It sounds silly right? And they also got Astro equipped TV to entertain them & to check on the signals quality. Bah, siapa kan apply jadi operator?

Blok Under Renovation
After 11th floor tour, we visited another block there. It houses the Kristal FM studio as well as Network Ops Centre. At the time of visit, DJ Dafy was the DJ. He was also an ex-SMSA years ago. He explained to us about the RCS which was capable to store 300,000 songs & the manager, Azmi said that they will be buying new RCS from Germany which will be able to store 3 billion songs. Unfortunately, for 3 girls who sat down on the chair were interviewed by DJ Dafy. They are Fuizana, Zafirah S & Nadeera. They conveyed their greetings & requested Bad Romance-Lady Gaga. According to DJ Dafy in order to be a radio DJ, need 6-7 months training, since they are so many buttons to tekan. OMG, next time if I wanna be a DJ in 987 Singapore, kesian aku! After the visit to KFM studio, we had another group photo taken with DJ Dafy, Azmi & DJ Sasha (newbie on KFM). Then, we visited NOC, the place where so many Physics stuffs were explained & monitors the DST network. No cameras were allowed, due to confidentiality.

Makan ke Gym?
Before we ended our tour of DST, we were treated to a small jamuan in the cafeteria which was the same block as the gym. Then, balik to Belait!

Word of Thanks
I, as the Trip Coordinator wishes to thank 1st of all Miss Tan, who helped me with the financial matters & also searching for students to join the trip. Secondly, I would like to thank i-centre (esp. Dewi, Mimit boss) & DST (esp. Pg Haji Zahari, Encik Wahab, DJ Dafy, NOC officers) for accommodating us, explaining to us stuffs & for all the nice gifts & blanja makan. Lastly, I would like to thank all the students who have participated in the trip. I also would like to apologise to Zafirah S who gotta pusing balik to Seria as it was getting late, Mizi who gotta travel to Masjid Zainab. MAAF YE! Thanks for those who have given me compliments too!

Lastly
Siapa yg inda ikut trip ani RUGI. What you RUGI: Hmm you gotta endure tutup karan in ¾ of Belait District for a short period of time, the magnificent views from 12th floor DST, the stories of i-centre, chance to be in Spanish TV. As Shely said because she didn’t go so she didn’t know what she have miss, yes I agree! As the title suggest Trip of Realities or Possibility?, last 2 year, I would say it is a trip of possibility as it may happen, yesterday I can say it’s a trip of reality because it really did happen. So do our life, it could either be reality or possibility. Now, I have completed A Level so the next possibility in life is to obtain straight A in A Level & enter NUS with a scholarship & maybe start as a part-time DJ next year @ 987 Singapore. Whether it will be a reality or not, is another matter? So, think about it!

Garra garra go! More stories in a couple of days & pictures of the trip would be uploaded later, since they are some technical problems (missing camera). Sorry for such a lengthy post, hope you enjoy it! Next posting I’m gonna to continue to write about Possibility or Reality of Lives.

P.S. John Harith Computers Mr. John Lee & Harith SMSA haha, so what about Amici Restaurant, Mizi SMSA & Ciara the artist is the owner?

1 month, then and now crap

Hello there netizens, long time to see, as I’m in an ‘exam fever’ mood for the past 1 month or so. Now, I am bk to write more crap in this blog. Few stuff to talk about in this posting

A Level Diary
Maths P1 on 15 Oct – Easy but may have careless slips here & there as usual
GP on 19 Oct – It was unpredictable for Paper 1. In P1, I have chosen a weird question about government use of tax revenue, since the other questions I have very little idea. Most students in Brunei wont chose, as they think that Brunei is a NO TAX COUNTRY. Some of them even said that, who have chosen this question as idiot, stupid & yg sama dengannya. That means I’m stupid, HUH? LOL! Not funny at all, I’m not even laughing or smiling. Too bad while writing that essay, I misspell some words. I would say my choice in GP is a calculated show-hand bet.
Maths P4 on 21 Oct – Quite tough, and in addition maybe throw about 9-10 marks due to carelessness again!
Maths P3 on 28 Oct – Easier than I thought, but the questions on vector & differential equation can’t answer well
Maths P6 on 4 Nov – In a way, some of the way the questions were asked is weird. Example would be standard deviation in a box-whisker. Q1 and 4 could be my deciding point. Few days, after the P6 exam someone (not me) goes to ask his/her doubts to their respective teacher. When this teacher replies, he/she kind of said something which is insulting the non-A grade students. (The statement I think is not suitable to be posted here; otherwise I might be having trouble with MOE) Basically, what I can tell you are this teacher said that one of his/her ‘A’ grade student can’t answer that particular question thus affecting his/her chance of scoring an ‘A’ or even more than that. The teacher then said, you all the ‘not very good’ students get ‘B’ happy already.
Biz Studies P3 on 10 Nov – Q1 I would say I cincai it! The rest should be Ok
Accounting P4 on 11 Nov – Q1 have some careless, Q2 is Ok; Q3 is just pray I get some marks. Overall, 3 out of 6 topics that I predicted come out
Accounting P3 on 19 Nov – Most were repetitive questions but somehow some new questions, I just have a guess. No harm guessing could be right!
THE END OF MY A LEVEL EXAM DIARY, NEXT STOP UNI EXAM

Trip after A Level Update
After so many mud-slinging and an hour spent calling to DST, RBA, RBC, RTB, Empire, the trip that I have been planning FINALLY WILL BE A REALITY ON Monday, 23rd November 2009. At first, I only got like about 12 confirmed to go, but when I asked Miss Tan, Accounting tutor to be supervising teacher, she really helped a lot in terms of getting more people to join the trip. Otherwise, It would be a lose-making trip. So, this trip we, are going to visit i-centre in Anggerek Desa & DST HQ, Tungku Link. I will post up pictures and stories after the trip!
JUST WANT TO THANK MISS TAN & ALL THE 28 PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE MADE THIS TRIP A REALITY!!!!
THANK YOU, XIE XIE NI, TERIMA KASIH

General Crap
Lately, I am so into Evan Yo songs. He is a Taiwanese singer who has just graduated from National Taiwan University. He has just released his 2nd album, Loneliness Enough with songs such as Loneliness Enough and Small Kid Be Good (Xiao Kuai Kuai), or whatever, LOL! For fans out there like me (not a real hardcore fan though, I am hardcore fan of Mr Blue J), DiGi Music will present a mini-concert of Evan Yo & Y2J (a rock band) in 1 Borneo Hypermall, KK, Sabah on 6th December 2009. Admission is Free but you have to subscribe to DiGi Music Unlimited to get entrance tickets. Damn, if I knew Evan Yo would have a concert in KK on the 6th, I would not go to KK in Christmas but instead on the 4th or 5th. Air Asia can you pity me change my ticket FOC boleh?

Tutup Cerita
Ok, folks my hands are already complaining, I guess I would stop here. Sorry for the very lengthy post. See you when I see you again. Signing Off

Terrible Thursday (Double T)

Morning Greeting
Sunday morning people, so good morning to all but it maybe not a good morning who are chasing time(a Nat Geo game name few years ago) aka those who are sitting for Sociology in less than 24 hrs time. So good luck guys!
MPPs sings over PA system but ....
Yesterday, MPPs were singing a song over the PA system that was composed by themselves & dedicated to the teachers, in conjunction with Teachers Day on Sept 23 2009. They also wishes the teachers a HAPPY BELATED TEACHERS DAY. However, I heard some very negative comments from some of the students in the canteen. I think appreciating teachers is GOOD so what about out-of-tune? The main thing here is the intention or niat!
Coming Near Your Doorsteps
In a few days time, Im gonna sit for my 1st A/AS Level paper which is Maths 1 followed by GP. Thanks to me taking AS in June, I can avoid 4 papers which is a good thing since there will be clashes which is not very nice clashes. Just a piece of info to share, according to an ex-SM of a school, they normallly advise students who have got A-C grade in June AS in their papers to be exempted from taking AS papers in November & only concentrate on A2 papers. But, our case our tutors want A grade only then we can be exempted.
The Big Story (Terrible Thursday)
As people say save the best for last, so this is my last story for this blog posting. On Thursday afternoon, bak kata pepatah 'malang tak berbau', me & Angie got involved in an a******* in front of Balai Bomba Seria & St. Angela's School (my ex-school), in the middle of a busy 12-1 timeframe. Ok this is my theory of what happened, not the police or the auntie who drives us to school or that fat victim uncle version! I was feeling that the car was slowing down, then suddenly BANG! Using the principle of F=MA, the car was slow but the force was huge! Next is the auntie driver version, she said she was driving slowly & couldnt see the car in front pasal its silau or bright sunlight. Lastly, is the fat victim uncle version, who claims that 'Anakku 2 orang terantuk kepalanya & the engin baru ditukar seribu labih' and blames the auntie for driving fast and causes the fiasco. The fiasco involve the 1st car in front a Toyota Prado, a blue Nissan (victim), a red old Toyota (people that was blamed). Lets analyse the situation, tha victim uncle said the auntie drive fast & bangs to his car bumper then he crashes into Prado & his car front hancurlah! Eh helo, Prado is very toughlah even though the belakang car bang your car slow/fast the impact should be about the same. Luckily, nobody was injured but I got some trouble moving my right arm & Angie got a bump on her head, and to be fair to the victim the 2 anak terantuk kepalanya! Earlier this year, my horoscope/zodiac states that I may have some problem with the authorities such as police & Immigration and its so true as 2morrow I had to go to balai to beri keterangan.
Lastly
Just want to wish everyone who will be sitting for O, AS & A Level exams in Brunei especially those in SMSA and Youthgen team, GOOD LUCK & MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU! I will be back in a couple of weeks, since exam is stressful thus no mood/idea to blog. BYE, HAPPY EXAM!

Few more days, BIG complaints

Welcome to the last few days of my 'waktu relax' as my 1st A Level exam will be Maths 1 on October 15th, which I really needs to work hard for it. Sekelip mata saja sudah October, thats mean A Level is just around the corner.
The plan is to work as hard as possible but will try to maintain my regular TV time, its impossible that I will revise 247 non-stop, then before I sit for exam, masuk hospital sudah tu.
On Monday, the 1st day of school we, set 3 Accounting plans a surprise party for Miss Tan, our tutor. She cried as she was touched by one of the speech written by one of the students.
As A Level approaches, apparently more & more students are taking study leave. And teachers are apparently not very happy about it. So, how many are plannig to take leave starting next week? Satu, dua, tiga, empat khayalan menjelma!
Talking about BIG complaints, I really will complaint! Starting from last August or so, apparently the boys toilet in secondary block was locked almost all the times. I wonder why? Some sources, tell me that the school wants to preventing people from smoking in the toilet. Even though, the school wanted to prevent students from smoking pun, pity some of the students who needs to 'clear their tangki oftenly, otherwise some other problems will exist'. Next BIG complaint that Im gonna talk about is BLACKOUT! Apparently, starting from Sunday nite while I was watching the finale of I want to be a model, it suddenly blackout, but the funny thing is only half of the house blackout while another half OK. On Monday morning, then it starts to blackout in the whole house till about 4pm. Then, at night the HUGE BLACKOUT that affects most of Brunei Muara, Tutong & Belait district occured. Luckily while other was 'berpanas', I was able to watch The Amazing Race. But then, the next day it blackout again! TWO BLACKOUT IN 2 DAY! Havent the pihak berwajib mengambil iktibar dari kejadian lepas i.e. January blackout. This blackout really angers people especially businesses and students like me, as we need light to revise. However, we can use also candle to study just its more romantic, LOL!
Lastly, HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL, MOONCAKE FESTIVAL, CHUSEOK FESTIVAL to people depending on whereabout are you! Enjoy mooncake with your loved ones with a cup of tea is the best thing!

What if I studied 4 hours a day and still cant get good grades, but some smart brads only studied 2 hours a day and still get good grades. Might as well, dont study even with long hours of study still cant get good grades!
This another quote from somewhere - School is not about knowledge you get from books but its also about learning how to interact with people (which I done badly). It doesnt matter if you 'fail' but make sure you learn some life lessons while there.
That's it for this post, will take a long break from blogging will be back October 3. Lastly, HAPPY TEACHERS for teachers whether you are at east or west

My Crazy Translation of my fav song for this yr

Its so much FUN listening to the radio, while they are playing with Guessing English songs translated into Malays. The song that I heard just now that was translated into Malay was Akon's I will be with you, but I like better the Chinglish version by Wilber Pan & Akon. Its still raya mood just the 3rd day, so how many 'duit raya' have you collected, how many 'tapak kuda' have you eaten? Right back to my crazy translation, of Spilled Water Cant Be Retrieved Back something something enjoy people!

Oh air tertumpah ke atas tanah
Oh ow woo ow woo ow wo ow
Oh ya
Ini adalah saya, cerita saya

Rap 1
Tak payah penjelasan
Awak tak perlu memberikan lebih penjelasan
Awak tak perlu berpatah balik dan mencari
Trend cinta sejati akan berubah
Cinta itu ada permulaannya tapi tiada penghujung
Orang selalu menyesal, bila air tertumpah ke atas tanah

Korus
Jadi, ayah bawa impiannya, impian sejak kecil bersamanya
Berkembang dan menjadi terkenal di Bandar
Muzik adalah masa depannya
Mak adalah rumahnya, kalau mak dah pergi siapa lagi yg akan menemani dan bercakap dengan dia, kecuali muzik
Korus 2
Vancouver hujan, Bandar cerah
Mengapa dan Kenapa hujan lebat ini mengeluarkan makna dariku
Aku sedang memikirkan kenangan manis
Muzik menandakan masa
Beri awak dengar perasaan sebenar saya, air tertumpah ke atas tanah

Korus
Rap 3
Januari 1995, kami tiba di Vancouver
Tak tahu bahasa orang putih, hmm hanya bahasa Melayu
Ayah dan mak bawa impian mereka (ke Vancouver), harap anak mereka akan merealisasikan impian mustahil mereka
Muzik impian saya
Darah ibu dan ayah saya kata 'Air tertumpah ke atas tanah'
Rap 4
14 jam penerbangan, 6 tahun kerja keras
Saya pulang ke rumah kami yg nyaman berbekalkan piano, keyboard dan komputer riba saya
Blue J adalah nama saya, JMY adalah masa lampau saya
Sekarang buat satu remix
Ini adalah lagu saya & ayah

Air tertumpah ke atas tanah
Air yg tertumpah ke atas tanah tak boleh diambil kembali
Apa gunanya menyesal sekarang?
Korus 2

Thats the end of my translation of this song. Thats a wrap for this posting. Bye, Enjoy Your Raya while I try to enjoy mine with lotsa worries. In case there are copyright issues with this post, I would gladly remove this post. Thank you

The near future ahead

Selamat berpuasa for another day for Muslims in Brunei, as the Hakim Sharie Brunei have announced that, 'anak bulan Syawal' isnt sighted. Well what do you expect, today is a rainy Saturday with a short period of sunshine only, you cant be expecting to sight the 'new moon' which is micro in size in a cloudy & rainy day. But, who knows that even on a cloudy day also can sight the 'new moon', as its all in the hands of Allah. Kata orang: Kita hanya boleh merancang, tetapi Allah yg menentukan.

Im now in a very bad mood, as my future is like 'hanging on a cliffhanger' now! There are a few options for me though! Currently, Im waiting for my student pass to be processed by MOE, before Im allowed to stay till at least A Level had finished by the Immigation. But, after that date as of now I still had no idea what is ahead for me. Lets me share each option that I have.

Option 1
Find a Bruneian penjamin - According to the immigration, if I can find a Bruneian penjamin who can 'jamin' me to stay in Brunei, I will be able to stay in Brunei till perhaps January or February 2010. The problem is SIAPA MAHU JAMIN ANAK ANI YG INDA BRAPA PANDAI & RAJIN?
Option 2
Keep on renewing visit pass every 2 wks - This is a very good option indeed, I can 'balik kampung' & jaga kedai with my sepupu yg tunggu result SPM for 2 wks, then return to Brunei for 2 wks, then going through this routine balik-balik every 2 wks. But, the Immigration is not going to be happy if I keep on doing like this a few times, & I will be BANNED from entering BRUNEI! Plus, it more paperwork for immigration as well as money spend for me too!
Option 3
Part-time job - This is going to provide me with some hard cold cash to be earned & spend my holiday time productively. According to Employment Order 2009 (as if I know the law) , the only job that I can do as a PADI/foreigner is 'buruh kasar', 'pemotong rumput', 'supermarket work' & other odd jobs. Well, I must say office boy job or account assistant job is ok too looking at my situation, but they are only open for Bruneians saja. Thumbs up to the Brunei government, for 'mendahulukan orang lokal dalam peluang2 pekerjaan'!
Option 4
Voluntarily join PLKN for 3 months - According to my calculation, with this option I can fully use my 6 months holiday before I enter Uni, if I pass A Level that is. Tapi PLKN is latihan ketenteraan berkonsep 1Malaysia with Malays, Chinese, Indians, Orang Aslis, Ibans, Dusun, Murut, etc in 1 camp. There are a few modules in PLKN such as Kenegaraan, Ketahanan Diri, Kebajikan kot. It would be really FUN, minus the FUN if the coach is very strict, pasti setiap hari aku kena marah!
Option 5
Leave Brunei after 31 December 2009 - This is 1 of the worst pilihan that I have compared to the other 4 options, as I gotta leave Brunei which I had called 'home' for the past 12 years. I really will miss Brunei: its cheap stuffs, its people of course and the 'soil, 'pasir', LOL!
Change the scope, now. HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY TO Detective RABBIT (bukan nama sebenar) which somehow got lost on its way to 'find Alice in the Wonderland', and found itself landing in Brunei as my best friend. Panjang umurnya, 18 tahun udah kita ustaz eh salah orang pandai yg bakal ke England lepas Raya! Saya sebagai seorang rakan yg baik (kononnya), mengucapkan selamat panjang umur, murah rezeki & sukses selalu, mungkin awak salah seorang Sultan Scholars in the future.
Talking about Sultan Scholars, His Majesty the Sultan had presented to 5 students Sultan Scholars for 2009-2010 academic session on Thursday.2 of them were from SMSA, namely Muhammad Ayyub Hj Kamaluddin (Ketua MPP 2007-2008) & Nur Amirah Ibarahim. Wohoo, congrats to SMSA & its tutors for producing so many brilliant students since the establishment of 6th Form in KB. For the record SMSA had 3 (including those awarded recently) of its ex-students had received the Sultan Scholar scholarship since its introduction in 2007. Sultan Scholars is one of the most prestigious scholarships in Brunei, which is awarded on the basis of merit & impartiality (dont care who you have 'connection' with or what is your race, I like this). So, for 2010-2011 I am predicting at least 1 student from SMSA will obtain Sultan Scholars. So, all the best SMSAians in the A Levels, do your best & you never know you may achieve it too!
This post is getting extremely LONG, so I need to close it with a greeting.
