Uniqlo Teaches Me A Lesson In Life & Bukit Bintang trip with cousin

WTH! Ohayo people, Im finally FREE of education commitments til next wk! My EXAM is Finally FINISH! And I can blog at my regular rate again! Righty, everyone now knows Uniqlo had hit Malaysia by storm on 4th November 2010 and some 'wu liao' students even went up to fahrenheit88 a night before its opened! And thousands more people including me had visited the store. I learnt a valuable lesson from Uniqlo!
All right, I went there last last Sunday with my cousin, as expected in almost everywhere Uniqlo opening week there is sure to be a QUEue! Thank god I didnt have to QUE hours, as we only queue like about 20min. To prevent, 'potong queue' Uniqlo had stationed bouncers (yeah big strong guys)!
At the entrance there was a counter for people that had won GO UNIQLO vouchers to validate their vouchers! Here comes my problem, as I had won a RM$50 voucher and 34 RM$20 vouchers I was thinking how the heck am I going to spend the vouchers! Buy 35 items? So, I posted some comments on this on Lowyat forum and I started to receive requests from fellow LYNers for vouchers so I send em! So at this counter, I was told that due to my 'overgenerousity' I cant use the voucher that I had printed (12 vouchers). Apparently, the crew said 'You posted in a forum that you're going to sell the vouchers'. (OMG Uniqlo staff do read forums!) I replied: I was giving it FOC! Japanese supervisor said 'We cannot accept all the vouchers' So never mindlah, since they even go to ask their MD I think! That shows how much dedicated they are in their jobs! It teaches me a lesson not to be overgenerous and follow rules since the RULES had stated you cant TRANSFER vouchers! Luckily I wasnt the only one having problems, some of the people had printed half the vouchers or part of it so Uniqlo cant accept it!
I must say Uniqlo crew are super helpful. Can you imagine when you want to try some clothing in the fitting room, they even help you to carry your basket of goodies (baju & seluar) and help you to put the things that you want to try in the fitting room. Thats really GOOD! And they are friendly too:Keeps on saying 'Welcome to Uniqlo and Happy Shopping'. While in my voucher case, the Japanese supervisor keeps on apologising for the long wait!
The retail experience in Uniqlo is pretty sleek:Ground is for men & women, 1st is for women, 2nd is for men. And there are counter in every floor! However, the fitting room you gotta queue my case 30min!
I must say its worth itlah: a UJ jeans normal RM99.90 is RM49.90 which I bought 2 and my cousin bought also 1, a fleece jacket RM49.90 (normal RM79.90) and a T-shirt RM9.90 (normal RM39.90)! And you get a FREE tote bag with every RM200 purchase which I did. While those who queued for hours during the opening also got it!
The irony of having to queue is Uniqlo have entrance in every floor but we gotta use main entrance ONLY for opening week. I wonder is this their strategy create a queue and some curious people will also join the queue? Hmmm
Uniqlo fahrenheit88 before opening time of 11am

And RUSH FOR IT!

YES 4G is coming Friday and i heard its pretty cheap even cheaper than my current DiGi Broadband

Lin Yu Chun or Taiwan Susan Boyle coming for YES 4G launch on Friday

A bunch of YESmen LOL! Or YTL prefer to call em Stormtroopers

Taking a snap with Stormtroopers

My lengchai cousin Peter. Girls any takers? Sorry he is not available in the market anymore haha

Uniqlo tote bag!

My damage:2 UJ at RM49.90 each

YES YES YES so unique ad!
While at Bukit Bintang, at the 'green building' surrounding (Lot 10), saw a lot of promo on YES YES YES! It is a quadplay (internet, call,TV,etc) '4G' wimax broadband service that promises 'speed, depth & value'. Its going to be launched on Friday 19th November (2 more day). Yeah, the cube like LED ad board, and YEsmen sorry they prefer to be called Stormtroopers! And also young girls in mini-skirts distributing flyers. What is interesting is the Stormtroopers also danced to the tune of Wonder Girls Nobody as seen in the LED board. I want nothing else but YES YES YES LOL! And mind you with YES, they declared that SIMkad is old-fashioned!

Since my cousin never went to Pavilion before, we went there to jalan2. Some interesting stuff that we found out is Esprit is having a Big Bang campaign to raise funds for SOS Children Village in Mumbai, India. (For fans of the Korean boyband:Big Bang Im sorry but its not about your band this is charity campaign!). And at the store, there was a super drum which you can bang. If you dont want to bang physically you can bang online at www.espritbigbang.com. Their aim is to reach 3m bangs and they will donate Euro 500,000 to improve life of 140 children there. Up til now, they have reached the target as the bang is now about 4m and 3 days to go. What is even interesting you stand a chance to win prize if you bang online, so its Charity & Contest Campaign!
Another interesting thing that we found in Pavilion was the Paul Smith Paul Frank (P.S. Apologises to Paul Smith fans & creator for mixing up Paul Frank & Paul Smith) or the monkey logo brand. My cousin could not believe how expensive that brand item was e.g. a short pant RM289.90! I can buy like 3 Basic House short pants already with that amount!

After our jalan2 at Pavilion, we went for steamboat at Lot 10 Shabu One! Quite affordable when you see the location RM19.99+/person! However, since the time we went was already almost their 'tea-break promo' closing time we was given only 1hr to makan. My cousin described it as 'express' steamboat meal! Oh yes, mind you even if its cheap there is a catch if you waste food you will be charged RM5++/100g Yikes!
So we had some prawns which my cousin said was small, some chicken meat, vegetables, crabs, clams, mushrooms (In fact we sapu abis all, I wonder people dont eat mushroom is it? Are we the only person who loves mushroom?), sotong, beef, various types of fishballs (rambang mata pilih). After having some steamboat items, we have some lu rou rice or minced meat tice. Mind you if you go to Taiwan on a package tour like I did 2 yr back, my god almost every meal except breakfast they served this for 8 days! Its like their national dish I guess as in 'nasi lemak' to Malaysia, nasi katok to Brunei! After some main course, we had some desserts such as cincau, ice cream (King brand), bean soup (red & green bean mix). Also included in the bill are free flow of drinks such as Taipei Herbal Tea, Nestle juices, teh bunga.

It was really an enjoyable outing with my cousin! So people do you have outing with your cousins often?
